Help.Malfunction on application updates...I think I broke my phone

Hello I was re-installing the blackberry desktop manager and then I click on the updates when the installation was finish, so it started to update when I noticed that it was erasing something (I thought it was erasing the things that I put on my phone), so I clicked on cancel..It continued and did not stop right away.Then I got an error message. Now my phone will not turn on. I took the battery out and put it back in and I'm getting this small circle image with a line going through it (like a restriction sign with a box in it that has a circle, square and triangle and the numbers 507 to the bottom). Is there anyway that I can fix this? Please help me I just got this phone earlier this year.

Your Blackberry needs to have the operating system restored. Once restored you can use your latest backup to restore settings and data. The attached links will step you through the procedure

Help! Unable to update Adobe CC applications

I am an active CC member but I am unable to update certain CC applications through the Creative Cloud desktop application or by using the *Updates* button under *Help* under each application. For some reason, the *Updates* button is always greyed out.
I successfully updated Muse, Edge Animate and Dreamweaver earlier today, but I am unable to update other applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc. Can you please help me out with this?

i have the same problem.and i found out, if my iphone vibrates,there is a new message, but its not shown.
if i restart my iphone after these vibrations, the new messages appear.very strange.
i hope Apple will fix this problem soon.

Help application update - fix for installation error

Some users are reporting installation errors when updating the Help application update -- if you are experiencing a similar issue, please follow these instructions:
Uninstall the previous version of Adobe Help
Windows: use the Add or remove Programs utitlity
Macintosh: Remove and trash the application from the Applications > Adobe folder
Delete the following directory:
Windows: %appdata%/chc.4875E02D9FB21EE389F73B8D1702B320485DF8CE.1
Macintosh:USER NAME (home) > Library > Preferences > chc.4875E02D9FB21EE389F73B8D1702B320485DF8CE.1
IMPORTANT: Empty the Trash or Recycling Band to ensure proper removal of all files

Okay so I followed the steps outlined above (and in the tech doc)., and when I go to manually install Air I get the following message:
"Sorry, an error has occurred. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
Now what? I'm on a Mac, OS 10.5.8.

My problem is with applications updateing i changed my e-mail address but my old one still is listed and i can't update new applications how can i change that ID

no iam refering to the application icon shows six updates and i touch it and it shows my old e-mail address which is [email protected]

Updates App says application updates available but App Catalog says no updates available

I'm having an issue where the Updates app says that application updates are available, but when I click the button and it opens the App Catalog My Applications page, none are available. I recently doctored my phone, and wonder if it happened somewhere in that process. And tried the suggestion of removing the .db file, but that doesn't work. It seems I might have a "phantom" app, and was wondering how I can determine which app that is to redownload it and remove it to fix this problem. I can PM my Palm profile e-mail when needed if that is the solution to the problem.
In addition, possibly related to this, is that whenever I go to Preferences + Accounts from the My Applications scene in the App Catalog, it freezes. It doesn't even get to the Accounts page, it just freezes with the menu displayed where I clicked Preferences + Accounts. This works from the main App Catalog scene. Not sure if this has to do with an issue with my Palm Profile and phantom app, but clearly something isn't happening right.
I did two doctors, and a full device reset as well, so I have exhausted those options in trying to fix this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Went through Palm support. Basically how I fixed it was:
Asked for the list of "installed" apps on my Palm Profile.
Installed all the apps that were missing from my device that existed in the profile.
Removed the ones I didn't want by doing "delete application" from the app catalog.
With a little luck, and after a reboot, the issue went away.
I think what originally started this issue was after a doctor, I cancelled the download of some of the apps so they would restore faster. I don't think that deleted them from the palm profile.
Anyway, in case anyone runs into this problem, thats how I got past it.

SKYEE! ANNA Applications Updates Errors!

Dear Members, SKYEE:
After reading the SKYEE's excelent FAQ's recently posted, I've been having some troubles updating to ANNA. My phone is a N8-00, LTA Dark Grey, Nokia Bubbles, Big Screen and Sleep Screen installed.
I'm not able to install ANNA Application Update 2/2 via Ovi Suite. The error message is something about signatures and dates on the phone.
When I try to use the solutions provided from SKYEE:

I cannot use either the solutions 1 & 2. The solution 1 just don't work due my phone refuses to install any .sisx file (msg: "error your device does not support sisx file"). About the solution 2: There are'nt any .sisx file on E: starting with "TEMP".
Can anyone help me? I think this behaviour is very common (specially the Qt issue).

In PSE 9 you could never update from within the editor. All it ever did was to let you know updates were available and you had to go download and install them yourself, as you do now:

Automatic application update search

80-90% of the time when I am using the Desktop Manager software, I use it to make an internet connection. When I connect my phone to the pc, the software searches for application updates with a window that pops up. Since I do not have an internet connection yet, this is quite pointless. There is a cancel button, but even when pressed it still will take upwords of 30sec-1min before the window goes away, and I can make my internet connection. Is there some way to make the software not search for updates? I am using version 5.0.1 on both winXP pro, and win7 pro.

I recognize the exact sequence you are describing...did you even attempt what the KB suggests? I am not sure if it does exactly what you are wanting, so trying will at least provide a yes or no...
(off topic...) As for attaching images, when you click the little green tree, it pops up a screen. From what you described, I think you clicked the chain link button...which is to paste a URL link into the body of the message...not an image. To the immediate right is a little green tree...click that to upload images into your post.

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

And then when he phones back as we agreed he's not actually on the phone, it's just a voice saying Apple Support is now closed! What on earth is going on at apple support I wonder.
Anyway, the original problem: an application called JotNot Pro fails to update. The error message says something like "you cannot update this cos either you bought it with a different Apple ID or somebody else bought it."
Neither applies. Can anybody help?

Pro Applications Update 2010-02 installed, but not installed.

I downloaded and installed the latest software update and it said it was successfully installed, but when I look at the applications, they are not updated (e.g. Compressor is version 3.5.2 when it should be 3.5.3). I have opened the applications just to check for the new features, but they are not there.
Is there something I'm not doing? Would reinstalling the apps do anything?

I was having the same problem on two of my older systems. It seemed like every week (automatically) or anytime I manually ran software update, it would recommend "Pro Applications Update 2008-05 1.0 3.1 MB". This seem to be a looping problem and it continued even after applying the update. I replaced one of my computers and being a new computer I was not having any problems. Later I upgraded my hard drive and chose "Mac OS Extended (Journaled) Case Sensitive" as the format for my new drive. About a week later the problem started happening on my new computer with a new drive. I also noticed some applications that I migrated over were acting strange. So I re-formatted my drive "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" and the problem has seemed to have gone away. I think some applications and utilities including "software update" (in some instances) may not like a case sensitive file system. Also note that Apple ships their computers Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and I wonder how many companies including Apple beta test both "Mac OS Extended (Journaled) Case Sensitive" and "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)". Any application that writes to a intermediate file on the filesystem or relies on reading and writing to files on the file system could potentially be affected if it were developed on a non case sensitive systems and later deployed on a system that was case sensitive.

Pro Applications Update 2005-1 where the **** is it?

Someone please tell me where Pro Applications Update 2005-1 is...
I've had to downgrade to Mac OS X 10.4.9 because of some conflicts and after so many problems this is having me stuck. And how the **** do you email Apple to tell them your Serial Number is genuine even though the webform thinks it isn't?

Have you gotten the latest update, which came out a day ago and includes support for FCS1?
If this is not a time-sensitive issue, you may want to just wait until 10.4.11, which may fix the problem.

Pro Applications Update 2009-01 doesn't change version numbers?

I ran the Pro Applications Update 2009-01 on my FCS installation. The update seemed to work fine, but when I open up FCP or any of the other apps, the version numbers are not changed. From the Pro Application Update page:
"Pro Applications Update 2009-01 is a revision to Final Cut Studio (2009). This update includes Final Cut Pro 7.0.1, Motion 4.0.1, Soundtrack Pro 3.0.1, Color 1.5.1, and Compressor 3.5.1. The software addresses general compatibility issues, improves overall stability, and addresses a number of other minor issues."
Since none of my FCS apps have upgrade version numbers, I can't tell if any of the fixes were applied. Is it possible I did something wrong when I ran the update?

My Final Cut Studio 2009 apps are upgrades from the previous version. All the apps for FCS are in a "Final Cut Studio" folder that I created in Applications to hold the programs (I also drag this folder to the dock to have easy access to the apps).
If I do a Command-I on the apps in this folder, they all show the old versions. Spotlight shows there are no other versions other than the ones in my "Final Cut Studio" folder.
I wonder if the update's not working because I have the apps in a folder other than the original install location? The funny thing is that both VersionTracker and CNet's TechTracker say that there are new versions to install. But I would think that the updater would fail if I moved the apps from their original locations, not just end successfully?

Pro Applications Update 2007-02 Can't be installed

Hi, not sure if this is a Leopard thing or a Logic 8 thing, but I cannot install the latest software update "Pro Applications Update 2007-02 v1.0 930kb" - it downloads and then says "Sorry an unexpected error occurred" - not very helpful
Any suggestions?

Ok, Found what the issue is. Its down to a Quicktime Codec that you can find in /Library/QuickTime (Not the user directory, but the one off root)
What you need is a file called AppleHDVCodec.component
The latest is version 1.3.2 dated 5th November
Update 2 installs this, but Update 1 wont install over the top as its a newer file.
Download both Update 1 and 2 from Apple, then open the contents of both (Don't run them, click Show package contents in context menu)
You need to unzip the gz files and you can copy out the above file. Do this for both files but keep them separate, you will need both.
Put update 1 file in place first (Overwrite or backup your file in the location given at the top of this post ) then run SW update. It will recognise the version and ask to install Update 2 - Dont !
Then grab the file from the update 2 gzip and copy this file over the one from update 1
Then run SW Update again and it will say all is Ok and you dont need any updates
Its a real mess, but works.

i am having a problem with my application update since i updated my iphonw to iOS 6. small updates are taking very long time and even not getting finished after several hours.
my internet connection is very fine and having good speed. i think updating to iOS 6 was a mistake....

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.
