AirPort can be use in Bangladesh or not? And there is a so called dealer in Bangladesh , who pretending themselves as a authorized dealer of Apple. Basic questions about AirPort and channels

I have a VERY limited knowledge about networks. Please keep answers simple.
My setup is very basic. My computer is connected to the internet via AirPort through my wireless gateway (router).
When I pull down the AirPort menu from the toolbar it lists 3 network names plus Other. My network name is checked. Why are 2 others listed on my computer? They aren't listed in my AirPort Network System Preferences under Preferred Networks so I can't delete them.
I downloaded iStumbler to try to get more information. It lists all 3 names plus one more that comes on and off. My signal is over 100% and all the others are around 50%.
Also, three (including mine) are using channel 6 and one is using channel 1. Should I change my channel? Everyone always mentions 1, 6, and 11. Could I use 4 or 5? Are some channels stronger than others?

Need help asap about point and shoot for inside

trying to take pictures for auction listings, don'thave a lot of experience. have been told about canon powershot and panasonic lumix - could you tell me what will be the easiest for me to use and give me the best inside pictures of objects to list - thanks!!!!

The key to getting a good picture is to make sure that you can control the light and less about the exact camera as long as you do not purchase any junk.
For auction images, you should invest in a small light box setup with multiple strobes/flashes that illuminte the item properly. In order to do this, then you should get an inexpensive SLR. You should also get a small tripod and remote shutter release that will allow you to make correctly focus pictures.
Currently, Nikon and Canon are head to head when it comes to image quality with Nikon edging out Canon since they have recently introduced some really great lenses. Sony is doing OK, but remember Canon and Nikon own 90 % of the camera market and the other 10% is left to everyone else. Sony is having some problems with ISO images that contain a lot more noise than Canon or Nikon.

I'm here for a very silly question. I need to activate a "computer-to-computer" airport connection
automatically.
I thought Applescript could help me.
The thing to do is to click OK in the dialog box that appears when you click "create network"
Here what I've done:

The "Computer-to-Computer" window isn't a part of the menu, so you need to take that statement out of the "tell menu bar" statement:

Note that the menu extra can change location and the number of items in it can vary.

Websites say cookies are blocked. I tried everthing in the help topic about his and nothing worked

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Help me about file and array

I need read a file into an array and write a new file from that array.
for example I read photo.gif into an array (array[ ]) and I write
newphoto.gif from that array (array[ ] )

Your read(cleartext) method may or may not read the whole of the file at one time. The value returned by the read is the number of bytes actually read and may not be all the bytes in the file. So the answer is that you can't reliably use your code though it may work most of the time.
Did you read my comment about reading the whole of a file into memory at one time? Did you bother to look at the reference I posted?

works fine !! I am not so sure that a code source cares for whether the resource is downloaded with s-http or normal http. Is the distinction important for the policy file?
You could go digging in the RFC that describes what a URL is (because that is what the code source is).
Also you could switch on a nice flag in you server environment that output information if security things go wrong: -Djava.security.debug=failure
In the output you should see from where your code is loaded. If it says http and not https, then that is what should appear in your policy file.

Airport and Wireless network issues

I have read all the issues about airport and wireless network. I don't see the issues that I have. My issue is that my wireless network used to automatically connect as soon as I power up my powerbook; then one day I power up and I was connected to default and I did not see my wireless address listed. I when into airport setup to try and setup again and it would not let me saying my password was not right. I logged off and then on again this time my network address was listed, but it still would not connect automatically to the network, now everytime I go to the web I must pick my own network and put in a passwork that sometimes works and sometimes not.
I have not done any updates or put any new software on the powerbook, so this is not the reason for my problem.

Had this issue with our imac after upgrading to 10.4
The answer was to go into Network and select airport tab.
Listed there (for me) were three settings. Delete all of them ,they will probably include the actual network you want! Click to apply. Re-start the Mac.
Go back to network and airport and you should now see only the network you wish to join. It will ask for passwords again!!
Click apply and restart. It worked for me.

Airport and storage?

Is it possible to attach an external hard drive (via USB) to an airport and access the information on it? And better yet, use it with time machine?
The website talks of nothing but using that USB port with printers, so i am not sure if it will work. However, my feeling is that a USB port is a USB port.

Not with an AirPort Express (AX). But this is a feature of the square 802.11b/g/n AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS).
And better yet, use it with time machine?
Officially Time Machine only works with drives connected to your Mac via FireWire or USB. Some threads in the "AirPort Extreme (802.11n)" discussion area have found a way to make it work. And someone posted this solution:
To get Time Machine to see network drives, open Terminal and type in:

You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

As you can see Erin, trying to recover information from a hosed drive can be very expensive.
I would suggest first the OWC site as well. You can get a new drive of choice in size there.

Wth your lap top and these folllowing tools your are set to change out the drive, reload OS and then with
the voyager pop in the old iMac drive and with the Prosoft software, try to mount and recover the files. Data Rescue is very good at this " if " the drive is not totally mechanically hosed. Drive Genius is very good at a number of things too. Nothing replaces the old adage of Back Up Back up Back up.
The voyage I listed can become the new backup drive for you.. your choice of tools: Time Machine or by cloning via CarbonCopyCloner or by what I use SuperDuper! IF you want to be really kewl.. both. By that I mean cloning and Time Machine.
It will take you an hour to swap out the drive and spring clean the iMac.. there is a hundred how too,s on you tube.
Hope this helps. Remember if is always when a drive will fail..they all do. I tell the people I support that Harddrives are good for 15 min.. to when they don't work. They will all fail.
Apple Geniuses are very limited to what they can and will do as far as file recovery.
Your best bet is to try to do it your self first. There is lots of help out here and you are not the first.
