Help me choose a card plea

Hi,
I've recently bought a decent pair of headphones for my home computer and have started to hear a lot of noise / hiss on them when connected to the front connection of my case (especially noticable when nothing is playing). The noise increases a bit when doing something like moving the mouse over the start menu, or in explorer.
When plugged into the rear connection, it's not as bad but the noise is still there. Currently it's just the on board audio an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe (nforce4) motherboard.
Do you think a pci sound card will give good sound quality with no noise to the headphones via the front panel?
The front connections (mic & headphones) are connected via a 9-pin (intel type?) connection direct to the board. The case is an Antec p80b, with the 9pin front panel connector as one block, and also as separate pins (for non-intel type connections).

Which creative boards have support for this type of front panel?
I've been looking at the Audigy SE, the Audigy 4 and the Audigy 2 ZS. The speakers I have (sub & two sat) connect via a headphone jack.
I use the computer for playing games and watching films. I usually have the headphones only for games. I don't have a surround sound setup, and this is not too important for me at the moment. I'm not interested in any sort of 5.25" front case panel, as the case has a door, and I don't want to keep it open to use the conections. The panel already has

that the standard connections are not supported by creative.
I don't want to buy a card on the off chance that it will work via a hack. It also seems like creative don't want to provide support for people who actually use their hardware, and this does not seem like a business model I want to support.

Need help with hosted credit card setup?

I am trying to setup Sagepay to connect to the BC website to take hosted credit card payments and have done the following steps, but what am I missing? I've done everything I can see to add/change from BC support site, but surely there must be something else to connect the online shop purchase form to the Sage checkout process to take payments?
I did an online chat with BC support on Friday and they kept going through the checkout using 'COD' and said it worked fine, which of course it did as no payment is taken using COD.
However, when you choose credit card, it just fails, so there must be something missing. It has been open as a support call since Friday with no response from BC, can anyone help me please, there is obviously something I am missing or not doing?
I have set up the IP address and subnet mask as required direct with Sage pay online.
I have set the payment gateway page in BC to Sage Pay and entered the vendor name as requested.
I have customised the checkout 'online shop purchase form' to include choose credit card.

Just an update for you.
I have heard back from Sage Pay support and it was an issue server side with them as you had initially thought. They said my customer had not made their account live and that they had corrected a few other settings their side, but didn't specify what exactly??
However, Sage support have sorted that out now and I tried a transaction BC end and Sage support have confirmed it has all gone through at their end too.
Just as a suggestion, the information is not that straight forward to find if you haven't set one up before. Most of what I found was through many different support articles and watching your online videos. I think that there should be one article that takes you through every stage of gateway setup and the payment form. It would have been a big help for me as it was my first BC Shop.

4gb of ram should be sufficient and I doubt I would ever upgrade to 8gb.

Help me choose a 865PE board

Hi,
I need some help in choosing the best(most feature packed, fast etc.) MSI 865PE motherboard.
There are two boards that are pretty identical and trying to find the difference between them has been difficult. They are the Neo2-FIS2R and Neo2-PFISR.
Which one of these two should I buy? They cost about the same. What are the major differences between them?

Great, I did see this link earlier but I'm confused by several things and please excuse my ignorance but I have been out of the Hardware scene for 4-5 months which is a long time in hight tech.

I do find these two tables very confusing and there is little explanation, To me the first table is saying that all the boards only support P4's and not prescott? the second table is saying that only the Extreme Edition supports prescott?
but the second table also lists the FIS2R etc so its all very confusing????

Need help with choosing a 6 cell and 9 cell battery (mo06, mo09)

I have a pavilion m6 series notebook which comes with mo06(6 cell) battery by default.
I need to replace the battery with a new one and I've come across a mo09 (9 cell) battery with the same price as that of mo06.
I've no idea if mo09 batteries can be used instead of mo06.

hey guys,
i need some help with choosing a right PSU for my gaming rig. i plan on doing some overclocking for the first time, and from what i understand the regular no name PSU that came with my case just won't be enough. so here is what i'm currently looking at:

I'm new for smart card.

Help With Choosing The Technology

Hello,
I need help in choosing the appropriate technology for the application that I'm going to be creating.
The characteristics of the system that have been decided until now:
Standalone app built on either Flex/Flash/AIR
Restricted to using the system on a single computer, hence can be a tightly coupled system
The server component of the system needs to be closed source and robust, for which im thinking something like a Java backend,etc,etc.
In a completely new environment, all that i need to be able to do is install just the AIR application and not worry about installing extra stuff for the server support.

If you are saying you want the server component to be on the same machine as the Flex app, then your choices are severely limited due to the sandbox, unless of course you are using AIR, then you can just use the SQLite database.
But if there will be a sevrer component on another machine on the web, you could use BlazeDS, and like I said, its free and very robust.

You are supposed to be able to set up an account without a credit card. See HT2534 - Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account without a credit card.
If you've already created the Apple ID that you want to use and are now being asked for a credit card try the method given here. If you use this I'd be interested to know how you get on because I haven't yet had the time to try it myself.

Help me choose a graphics card.

Hi everybody!
I´m in the process of picking parts for a new computer, but I got stuck when it comes to choosing a graphics card.
I want a hd7850, and the msi brand seems to be a preferred brand when I read many forums.
But there are currently three different models on the msi website.
Frozr 3, Frozr 4 PE, & a model advertised with a 9cm pwm fan.
What i´m looking for is a low noise product, I want my computer to be as quiet as possible.
So, my question is, which is the quieter card?
I am also curious to know about the 9cm fan card, who is it targeted at?
I can´t find any info on it anywhere else on the web, and it does not seem to be for sale anywhere.

hmm, as far as I can see the review only includes the Twin Frozr III and IV (PE) versions but not the R7850-1GD5/OC or R7850-2GD5/OC with 9cm fan Dr.Nick mentioned.
None the less I'd go with the Power Edition with TF IV (dual 9cm). You can have a read about it >here<.
This cooler has potential and you can manually control the fans by using MSI Afterburner software to get it even more silent.
