Mine & the ones like it that I have previously fixed on here (about a dozen) are all shared hosting accounts using either the GoDaddy Economy OR Deluxe packages...
I have been able to resolve a couple issues by using the direct IP address approach, BUT... there is almost certainly another underlying issue. Using the duct-tape approach does not solve the actual problem.The ONE instance was a home built iMac running multiple websites off his own server.
In this case, I am trying to determine if this is a Windows or Linux issue... If the server is truly Linux then my solution should work. If it is Windows, then it opens the doors a whole new set of problems (and his host folder would have be correct). I am going through a series of trouble shooting steps to determine exactly what it is. It could very well be a page forwarding issue or redirect.... or htaccess
If I get it set to a point that I know will work & the client is still having issues, I pass it along to one of the engineers in here who will fish out the other problem. (which is usually a script running interference or non-supported 404 forwarding or htaccess problem)...
Either way... the client should not have to use the IP address.. and if they do then Adobe will have to look deeper to find out why.

there is a complicated way to work with just the mobile device support but its simpler just to uninstall itunes and related components and then reinstall itunes

Two days ago, I loaded Light Room 6. Today I went back to Light Room 5. LR 6 corrupted an entire folder of images, and caused errors on my Raid 5 causing win 7 to run "Chk Dsk" and fix the errors to the operating system. LR 5 has not shut down for the last 5 hours. LR 6 has a serious bug. Anyone else experiencing this problem. Yesterday I was on tech support, waiting for 3 hours, finally they picked up and informed me there department was closing and someone else would call me on Monday. So, I'm working today and all day Sunday to make up for the down time using LR 6.
I don't know if the bug exists in the program or the "Creative Cloud.
Question: Does anyone know why if I bought Light Room 6 [NOT Light Room CC with the monthly rental], I have to enter my serial number if I want to use it?

Entering the serial number is probably part of the registration process.

In recover step, There are following errors:

1. Should I restore archive log files generated on July 16th back to orignal archive directory in order to avoid to recover failure?
2. Or Should I add the command "sql 'alter system archive log current'" in the backup script in order to avoid to recover failure?
The following is the detail information:
The database is ok when I try to do incomplete recovery database that was fully backed up on July,16th,2004. The database is oracle 8.1.7 and is in the archive mode:

You are correct. In RMAN8i, you should add the "alter system archive log current; command before you backup the archive logs.
You are running into the case where Oracle needs additional redo to make the database consistent that was located in the current online log at the time of the backup.
If you set UNTIL TIME to an earlier time does the recover work?
In Oracle9i, if you issue the command, "backup database plus archive logs", RMAN will automatically archive the current online log before performing the archive log backups.

HELP! SAFARI AND FIREFOX BROWSER ERRORS

Im looking for some help with my Mac Book Pro. For the last two weeks Ive been having serious issues with browser errors. I currently use Firefox and Safari. Certain links do not work properly or not at all. I just click and nothing happens. At least part of the problem, especially since the issue is effecting both browsers, is Net Barrier.

You might want to consider uninstalling NetBarrier software.

Those aren't errors, they are "messages"... if run Disk Utility to repair disk permissions, if you see, "Repair Permissions Complete", that's it. Nothing more to do.

With a PDF opened in Acrobat XI:
Tools - Content Editing - select the tool "Edit Text and Images".
Keep in mind that PDF is not a word processor file format; consequently PDF does not tolerate word processor like "editing".
However touchups of characters and character strings is possible (when done judaciously).
Acrobat (in particular the Pro release) provides robust tools for touchup.

Need help with Unrealircd and Anope(SystemD error

So i installed both UnrealIRCD and Anope, have everything almost set up accept for starting Anope.
Both are going to be stored on my computer
EDIT: I finally found my error, when i run "sudo systemctl start anope" it goes through fine, but when i check "status" It gives this:

How to back up "The disk has S.M.A.R.T. errors" and fix the errors

My computer won't start up past the login screen so first i tried Safe Mode [Shift+Start up] didn't work . Then I tried to reinstall software [Command+R+Start Up] my apple logo turned into a circle with a line through it and the gear never stopped spinning [about half hour later] so I turned it off. I then tried to reset the NVRAM [Command+Option+P+R] and I got to a screen that said "Mac OS X Utilities" from there I went to Disk Utility and saw that my disk had S.M.A.R.T. errors. I clicked "Repair Disk" and it found the problem and fixed it apparently. However, when I tried to reinstall Lion I got this image
So I have a few questions:
If my disk is corrupted, why did it say the repair worked ?
If my disk is corrupted, how can I back up the files if I can't login ?
Is it possible to repair the S.M.A.R.T. errors ?
I want to AT THE VERY LEAST back up my photos and a few documents, is there any way I can put those files onto a USB through Disk Utility ?

You cannot repair the disk. It has a hardware error. DU was apparently unable to repair it. If you have another Mac that you could connect via Firewire or Thunderbolt, then you can put your computer into Target Disk Mode and try recovering your files onto the other computer. Beyond that it would depend on the nature of the disk's problem.

That means that it's gone into recovery mode - connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and reset it back to factory defaults.
Downgrading the iOS version isn't supported by Apple.
