Help Me Downgrade iOS6 to 5.1.1

Well well well, After Hours and hours of trying to work my way through endless itunes errors iv finaly decided to ask for help.. Im sure someone out there can help me..
I got my partner an iphone 3GS a while back Came on vodaphone and she wanted it on three so i got lazy and took it to the shop for a quick easy network unlock. Got it back with cyidia etc so he had unlucked it through the jailbrake but she was happy with that, at the time ios 4.2 was the latest so thats what its been on ever since, no problems at all. Happy days,,, Well so I thought.
As of recent she did a reset and wiped her apps- Big mistake!! wish she had spoke to me before she had done it beacuse now all the apps require a newer iOS and i cant upgrade to iOS6 beacuse there aint a jailbrake or network unlock available ( as far as i know ) so this would mean she would be back on vodaphone and that isnt a good thing when you have a £25.00 per month sim only contract on three.
So whilst it was still on 4,2 I decided to use reds0w (latest version) and a guide online to helpme upgrade from 4.2 to 5,1,1, I folowed the guide word by word, downloaded the stock 5.1.1 ISPW then customised it on redsn0w and saved it, I then put the phone into pwned DFU mode and went over to iTunes and used the shift + click on restore found my custom NO_BB ISPW i had made and then this is where all the errors came pouring in. So i started working my way through them. Right now i had added to the host files. Used iREB-r5 to boot using there DFU as it supposed to stop errors etc etc but nothing still not allowing me to restore to my custom ISPW Iv been getting the 1600's errors so i downloaded a registry cleaner, Deactivated my AVG and firewall and its still coming up. so I had a little look round the net for downgrading rather than trying to trick iTunes to upgrade the device by making it believe it was restoring and i came across a few threads here and there and then decided to just dive in the deep end and see if i couldnt swim and i was clearly drowining the other way. The iOS upgrade went smoothly just had to remove one of the files i had added to the hosts to allow it to contact and verify via apple and I am now on iOS 6. My 4s is running it and am quite happy as im in no need to hack it as i have ipads for that
So my question is can one of you iPhone nuts help me get my Gals phone back working so i can have my 4s back. Ideally a step by step guide and a bit of support if things dont go to plan would be amazing.

I don't know whose instructions you followed, but Apple does not
support downgrading to a previous version of iOS.
If you would state the problem(s) you are having with iOS 6, someone
will offer a solution.

because seemingly, we haven't purchased our devices from apple but have got them on rent!!! and therefore, we are not allowed to use the os of our choice. we have to use what apple thinks is good for us.

Sounds to me like you cant... If you did the update, and then plugged your phone into your computer, you have already backed it up to the new software. Besides, if you downgrade, you will lose accessability to many of your apps. This is a Major update and almost all apps will not run without iOS6. You will also lose access to the appstore, FT, find my iPhone and many other evry important apps.

On my PC I have fropm the last synchronisation IOS5. Unfortunately upgraded to IOS6, which I deeply regret. Got already an answer that Apple does not allow downgrading.

I do have a pc too. for right now I only have my old macbook pro since I moved to NY for working. So I only have a mac to synk to iphone.. "Sunnycide" so you are saying I have to purchase another mac to do this thing....sigh
beside I do have snow leopard and mountain lion OS cds which are not readable in my macbook pro. as I mentioned, a guy in apple store said mine can't upgrade. It only works in 2008 macbook pro(later) model at least..

I want to downgrade my ipad3 and iphone 4s from ios6 to ios5.1.1 so that I can use Google Maps again. I need to do this before my travel season starts in about a month. If this can't be done in time then I'll have to look elsewhere.

Need help to downgrade from my 20GB yearly storage plan to a free 5GB cloud plan

I have tried everything possible to downgrade from a paid version to a free one. But as the screen shots show, it let me select the free version but I can't save this option as the "Done" button is greyed off. If I select another paid plan like 20GB, the "Done" button is blue and active.
Anyone an idea how to execute the downgrade ?

For the sake of other users with this problem (although I didn't have a yearly plan - it just seemed to be a rolling monthly payment) I'd like to confirm that it took a call to the support line to resolve this. The online support information simply tells you how to downgrade assuming that the done button is available to complete the downgrade so it's not at all helpful in resolving the issue for those experiencing the problem. The support agent resolved this at their end and I had to log out and in again to check that this had resulted in the required downgrade. The online support doesn't recognised the greyed out button as a common problem but I suspect it it. Also when I searched this forum for the problem 'icloud downgrade problems' it said there were no existing articles. This really makes it difficult for people to find the resoluton to their problem. My resolution was to get the support line to contact me. Hope this helps other users with the same problem.
