Help me get my email, please!

Hi,
I have just moved into my new university accomadation but they seem to be blocking mail via proxies and i can't seem to access my gmail through mail as going online is a pain.

This is there page about ports etc and i was wondering if any one would be able to tell me how to configure my email to go around it.
Any help or solutions would be greatful,

This would best be asked in the Maill/Addressbook section, but basically, open Mail, Go into Prefernces, and change the SMTP port from 25 to 26. Quit mail, reopen. Try again.
If you still can't send, change that port from 26 to 587. Quit mail, reopen, try again.
After that, you might want to consult your Uni's tech help desk. These are their port blockages.
(if "going online is a pain"...getting AppleMail configured may be a bit of a pain, too...see how these steps go. And check in the Mail/Addressbook sectino out here - this question is asked several times per week, and there may be someone smarter than me over there)

Make sure cellular data is turned on..I checked and it was on
Tap Settings > General > Cellular
Switch Enable 3G to off then back on.
Same for Wi Fi. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi. Switch off then back on.'

Help - Now get same email in both email account and gmail

I have a droid_razr maxx. Ever since the update I had the same synching issues everyone had except that I was still getting my emails. I just always had sync error notifications. Last week I resynched my email and gmail account and wow - the sync errors went away. BUT NOW I get the same email twice, both in my email and my gmail. I went into email and unsynched my gmail account but it still is happening. I have enough problem managing my emails without having to manage the same emails in two accounts! I'm sure this has a simple answer. Please help.

Splitrailfence, I can see why getting the same email through two different clients can be annoying. If I understand correctly, the duplicate emails are being sent to a single email email address but you're getting copies of the messages in both your Gmail account and your email account. Are both the Gmail and email clients on your RAZR Maxx set to monitor the same account? If so, who is the provider (Yahoo! or Hotmail or Gmail or other)?

Help me delete my emails, please

Hello everybody - hope someone can help me. Up until recently I had two ways to check my emails: my computer at home Outlook Express, and when away, I went into BT Yahoo on other computers. Now my daughter has bought me an iPad which is great BUT there is nothing more annoying than getting home to find all the emails I deleted whilst I was away pop straight into Outlook Express! I went into iPad settings to sort it, but it isn't sorted,Furthermore, BTYahoo has jumped on the bandwagon, so on my computer, the emails now come into both, whereas before, if I opened OE and deleted them, they didn't appear in BTYahoo, and vice-versa. Nothing worse than getting all your emails three times! Any ideas?

Depending on how you use email, some would consider this a useful feature rather than an annoyance

HP W2007v External Monitor - Help to get it working please?

Hi,
Using a Macbook running OSX 10.4.11. Just bought an HP w2007v monitor as an external display. Cant get it to work - 'no signal detected' and 'monitor going to sleep'. Obviously everything is powered up and I've got the monitor attached to the macbook using the Apple mini-DVI to VGA cable.
Have checked the HP website which was no help at all and can't find much here either (with apologies if I've missed the obvious posting holding the answer).
Would appreciate advice on what I'm doing wrong - if anything.

My iphone 3GS has wiped out all my contacts and I need help to recover them. I tried a restore back up and a backup from itunes but I don't use itunes at all so I don't think it worked. I tried also wonderfone and some type of DFU mode and couldn't find the contacts. What can I do please help.

Go to settings do a reset when reset is done you will need to enter your Wireless key for your router. Then go to software updates and download new update 8.0.2 That help me. Bsydd uk

Help me with my email please!!

I was trying to set my work email which is midco email and set up through outlook express and i get all the way to the out going server and i enter the server ect.... and it say warning your outgoing server response: 554 out.vip.midco.net then gives me an ok button and goes back to the setup screen..... is there a fix for this. i only had this incredible for a couple days and i like it other then the battery life lol. thanks dave

I am guessing you are using the settings shown on Midco's website?
Incoming: popa.midco.net
If POP server, server port number = 995
If IMAP server, server port number = 993
Outgoing: smtpa.midco.net
Port 25 or Port 465
Requires a secure connection (SSL) or TLS must be checked (depending on the device)
Outgoing server settings may require full username and password
Must select ‘Outgoing Server Requires Authentication’
Do not select ‘Secure Password Authentication (SPA)’
Username: full email address (ex: [email protected])
Password: password for email address
Try the IMAP settings with the k9 app.

You helped me get my email photos in photo gallery, now how can I move them to Snapfish?

I tried reading everything I could find and nothing helped me move the photos so I could download them into a Snapfish album.

You probably need to save the pictures to your computer, and then open them up on "Snapfish".

Anyone can help me get this working please

It's not all there and as said before try using the Inset Code Block button in the toolstrip at the top of a post you are editing for inserting your code in so it displays correctly. If you hover your mouse over each tool in the toolbar at the top of a post
you are editing a tooltip will display providing what each tool is for. Like
B is for Bold.
You don't display any code for DJ_APP.Module1 or provide what you are attempting to do with the code you have and nobody has a .Dat file that you may be using for testing with.
And it seems like you may be using relatively old style coding techniques when databases like
Microsoft SQL Server Compact 4.0 are free and downloadable from Microsoft and others unless you enjoy using .Dat files for some reason.
Plus you could use DataGridView for displaying things like ("TableFormat, "Track ID", "Title", "Artist", "Genre", "Duration", 'open file") whatever all that is with the DGV using a DataTable since
different fields in a DataTable can be different types. AFAIK you could even store all the audio tracks in a database.
I would recommend you take a step back to design your GUI regarding what controls it will use for what it needs to do as well as what capabilities can be used with those controls and learn about that for a while before writing any code.
I would've researched DJ apps to see what visual styles they have and how they work before designing a GUI and writing any code.

How do i get my email back?

for over a month now ive been fighting microsoft about my email account *****@live.com first off they blocked it and i dont know why then they would not let me in, every time i ask for a password reset they dont send me the needed email to the linked account
*****@gmail.com ive tried that many many times then i got fed up with that not working so i tried to prove that im the owner and that omasaki34 was me that seemed to work but still nothing no password reset links or anything so i made a new outlook account
so i can talk to tec support i still got nowhere i keep getting the run around check this link try doing this and NOTHING WORKS so i thought that is i try the ownership form on the outlook account that it might have better odds of getting the reset email i
need BUT using the same info i used the first time as proof that im the owner they say that its not enough info for proof *facedesk* so what the hell am i to do at this point? you wont send me the needed emails to my linked account and you wont let me link

Can't get any email since early this AM

I'm using OS X 10.7.3; my mail preferences say my SMTP server incoming mail is "p02-imap.mail.me.com" (and that info is grayed out). In the advaced section the IMAP path prefix is blank; Port is 993, SSL checked, authentication is Password.
The connection doctor says Mail is connected to the internet, green light at iCloud, red light at smtp.me.[myusername] Trying to log into this SMTP account failed. Verify that the username and password are correct.
Show detail brings down an empty box. Also, "Network Diagnostics" is grayed out.
All attempts to send me email (i.e. from my husband's computer have failed.
Please help me get my emails!

I downloaded Tomcat, initially so that I could have the servlett packages.
When I try to compile I am still getting the error package.javax.servlet does not exist?
In addition when I try to startup TomCat I get

package.javax.servlet does not exist?Have you included %CATALINA_HOME%\common\lib\servlet.jar in your classpath? Since servlet class files are not intergrated with the jdk, you must explicitly include them in your classpath to use them.

I have a C3-01 touch and type my provider is AT & T I need any help to get my email settings and internet settings AT & T have been NO help since i did NOT buy my phone threw them!!! What firmwire do you currently have?
Turn off your phone and then turn on your phone. Usually resetting the phone temporarily fixes the problem
