Help me get my music back!!! Please:(

I recently found my old iPod (YAY). So I hooked it up to my new laptop to transfer my songs into my new iTunes library, but none of my songs were showing up on my computer. I hit the eject button and unplugged it and the songs were showing up on the iPod. I hooked it back up to the computer but they still weren't showing up. So I once again hit the eject button and unplugged it again but this time my music was gone from my iPod too!!! I'm so upset because I had over 500+ songs on this iPod!!!! I no longer have my old laptop because my little sister dropped it and shattered the screen so I can't hook it back up and put the songs back on it. Please tell me there's a way to fix this:(

iTunes has an option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPhone or iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
Purchased applications can be downloaded over again, see this article for details: How to redownload purchased applications from the App Store
One last thing, if your wife'd phone is set to sync automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. Open iTunes first and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box "Prevent iPods and iPhones from syncing automatically" and choose Ok before connecting your device.

I damaged my iphone 5s and want to get my photos back. It was submerged in water for a good five minutes (and is now in rice) but I'm pretty sure it's dead.
I really would like to get my photos back. I wasn't plugging in my iphone and backing up, I just assumed it did it automatically because about a week ago I had a message saying automatic backups were stopping as my icloud was full.
My work ipad is running on ios8 (as of a few days ago!) but my iphone was on ios7 as I didnt have enough space to install the update. This means that my icloud is now icloud drive and I cannot view the stuff from my ios7 device without upgrading it to ios8. Trouble is, I cant upgrade it because it's in a rice bowl.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Any idea if I will be able to access my photos on icloud at all? I'm not very hopeful for my phone working again and downloading things that way!

Photos that are in the cloud stay there until they are removed by a device that has the right privileges. If your iPad is logged in with the same AppleID, then doesn't it show the photos from iCloud?
You will only be on iCloud Drive if you expressly chose to upgrade.

Please help me get my music back!!

Our Windows Vista computer crashed (blue screen of death) but we were able to copy everything from to an external hard drive including my itunes folder. On our new computer (Windows 7) I downloaded itunes. Imported the music library into iTunes and now I can't play any of the music that I previously purchased from the itunes store. No music, movies, videos, anything I previously purchased. I have authorized the computer with my apple-id and still I can't play anything. I don't want to re-purchase 1,000+ songs. Please help me solve this issue! My iPod was fried by my son when he connected it to my wife's car so I don't have any backups except for the files on the external hard drive. Help!!

Hey guys
Recently did an iPhone restore and as I've gone to restore my backup its asked for a password. I never put a password or a 4 digit passkey on my iPhone or the backup file. Infact itunes never even asked me to put one in.
After much phone time racked up to apple I'm resigned to the fact that I can't get into the encrypted backup. I've used elcomsoft password breaker to no avail and now am looking to make a raw disc image of my iPhone to just manually get the data.
So heres the Beef.
I can extract a raw disc image off my iphone of the 'missing' data with OSFClone

And then using OSF Mount I can view the raw image of my iPhone disk with OSF Forensics.
Now I have all the programs and I've managed to upload OSFClone to a USB drive and can boot into it. I'm just not sure what to do from there? I'm a little in over my head and require assistance.

Yeah, that's kind of the point of encryption... unsurprisingly.
If you've been syncing your phone to your computer regularly as designed, all the data is going to be on your computer (contacts, calendars, music, apps etc. etc).

What do you mean "Wndows Update" ? Please click Start > All Programs and you can see Windows Update few rows down.

Help me get my music back to itunes from my Ipod!!

I recently experienced the pleasure of my hard drive crashing, which made me lose everything, including my music. I still have all of my music on my ipod and I just reinstalled itunes. Now, I know that if I try to sync, it will probably erase all of my songs on my ipod as well. Is there a way to sync my songs from ipod to itunes so I don't lose it all? I am aware that you can't change syncing preferences without your ipod connected. thanks for the help.

Buy the songs that your friend put on the iPod that you liked. They had no right to give you the copyrighted music when they sold you the device.

ITunes wiped clean on computer and iPod how do I get my music back?

I just did the iOS 5.1 system update for the ipod. It told me it will restore my ipod and I was okay with that. But when it was finished I went to my iTunes on my computer (iMac) and there is absolutly no music. There are no music files on my computer either. I extreamly need to get back that music that was stored on my iTunes. Those songs can't be gotten back. I rarely buy from iTunes and those songs were transfered on here from a computer that I don't have anymore. Some of these songs were even of my dead family playing and instrament and I have no copies! Please help me get my music back I am completly heart broken.

You may be able to redownload iTunes ourchased music by the following. It depends upont the country you are in:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You will have to get the other music by the same method you got them the first time. If they are not on the iPod or computer, they are gone. Sorry.

By any chance, did you have the Find My iPhone app installed prior to it being stolen?

Did you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account when downloading them ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

Getting my Music back! Help

Ok so I have my 2-3 gb worth of music on my ipod, and I had it on my computer, only my computer crashed so I had to get a new hard drive (blah blah blah..) But anyways, is there a way I can get my music back onto my computer from my ipod? That'd be a bunch of help, thanks.

For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

How to copy iTunes purchases from an iPod to a computer.
For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
SharePod is also freeware.
