Help me get rid of "extra" monitor

Hi, this is my first apple computer, but definitely not the first computer I've boloxed up.
I need help to figure out how to disconnet the Mini DVI to VGA adapter without messing up the mini display port to HDMI
basically:
Mac Mini 2 ghz intel, 4 gb ram
worked fine a few days ago with
mini display to HDMI with HDMI cable to Proscan 37" LCD tv
in my usual "let's see if I can make it any better mode" I typically made it worse. I plugged a mini DVI to vga adapter in and connected the VGA cable to the same TV. I wanted to see how it looked in vga and if that worked, try to mess it up with a KVM switch with a PC (well, since it didn't work I never got that far)
anyway, the VGA input on the TV never showed an image, only no signal. (this worked in this configuration with an AOC 22" monitor previously)
When I take out the mini DVI (bigger one compared to mini pisplay port) to VGA adapter, the mini display to hdmi no longer shows a picture on the TV. I've adjusted the monitor settings to make sure the HDMI is the primary monitor by moving it to the left, I've tried mirroring, just can't figure out how to simply turn off the mini DVI monitot (it still doesn't show an image on the VGA input of the LCD TV)
simply put:
mini display port to hdmi preferred output
mini dvi to vga plugged in and cable to LCD TV but not functioning
if i disconnect the mini dvi cable from the mini mac, all goes blank on the HDMI screen
if I disconnect the VGA cable from the mini dvi to vga adapter, all seems OK until I reboot, then, no video on the HDMI side
I need to get back to just using the mini display port to hdmi

Yes, I have tried to start the Man Mini with just the Mini display port to hdmi adapter alone and there is no signal. If I do the
unplug all cables and power
hold power switch for 10 seconds
reconnect cables (mouse, keyboard, mini displayport to HDMI)
hold power down as I connect power cord
thing, it will start up and although it does send a signal to the TV, at first the TV says it is coming in at a usable resolution (something like 108 x 748 but don't quote me) then before any image comes on, it switches to 1080i 50Hz which is not visible (black screen) on the TV. I tried hitting the esc key as Apple docs seem to say that will revert the monitor to the prior resolution without any response. As soon as I plug in the mini dvi to vga adapter, it fixes itself at least for that boot up.

Choose system preferences, then under 'Personal' choose 'Universal Access''
You will see a checkbox called 'Voice Over'' (under the seeing tab). Switch this to off.

Hi. I am one of the very unhappy people who can't use the iPad for recording since getting ios7. The apple forum is replete with stories like mine: ios6 recording was quiet - ios7 is noisy. I have tried every suggestion. Why won't anybody at apple tell us what the problem is? I have been using macs since 1986. All I want to do is record my songs on my iPad. Unfortunately for me, I recently brought my iPad-mini refurbished so there is no warranty. If I had bought it new I would be at the Genius Bar until I got the problem fixed. Did I mention how unhappy I am? Here are the specs: 1st gen iPad mini running ios7. Recording onto Multitrack DAW with a Samson Go mic to a 30-pin USB camera adapter, into an apple brand lightening adapter into iPad mini. Everything works fine except for the HISS.

Please help to get rid of this strange rectangle appearing on interface!

Hi, my iMac is a brand new which I have purchased Feb 18th, 2009.
The problem is that there is a strange rectangle (black outlined, empty filled) keeps appearing on interface. It appears right now around the red circle button that closes this window. On desktop, it appears around the item I select. When I try to print out a file on Adobe Illustrator, it shows up on the dialogue panel. It just won't go away.
If anyone could help me getting rid of this annoying rectangle, my life will be saved!

It sounds like you may have VoiceOver turned ON. If you have your volume un-muted, you may also hear the computer talking to you.
It is controlled from System Preferences +Universal Access+ pane Seeing tab. Where it says VoiceOver, turn it OFF if it got turned ON inadvertently (probably by fitting Command-F5).

Can't get rid of extra line in div

Getting rid of extra white space/margins on the left & right

Hi. I have two problems.
1.) When I create a Muse template at 1024 px wide, the document creates extra margins of about 150-200 pixels on the left and right. No matter what I do, I cannot get rid of this. I have set margins to "0" as well. I need the website I created to be at 100% width, no white space around.
2.) My images are not importing correctly. When I place an image, for example, my home page background image, which is sized at 1024 px wide - the same as the document width, it does not import at that size. Images are coming in about half the size, even though I'm positive the images are sized correctly, as I designed it in photoshop to the exact dimensions that I wanted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1.) Muse does not generate responsive layout, so when you create a Muse template at 1024 px wide (assuming center aligned in browser), you end up with page 1024px wide and showing some space on either side to show you how the browser screen beyond 1024px would look like (in case the browser screen is wider than 1024px. That is not part of the actual page width. You can customize that using the Browser Fill option in the Control Strip.
2.) It appears that you have Resolution set to HiDPI (2x) in File > Site Properties > Content tab. This would actually use the original size of the images on Retina displays and half the size in both dimensions on normal displays.

I followed directions left by others and in Windows 8 there is no Explore All Settings but found Use computer without a display. The narrator box was unchecked to begin with and I cannot get rid of the sound and that stupid blue line all over my screen.
Any ideas?

Based on your description, I understand that you want to disable Narrator in the Windows 8.
Did you mean that had un-checked
Turn on Narrator in Use the computer without a display panel (the path: Control Panel-> Ease of Access-> Ease of Access Center->
Use the computer without a display)? Please also click Make the computer easier to see in
Ease of Access Center, there also has a Turn on Narrator option. Please check if also un-check it.

Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences. If it shows that Time Machine is ON, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner, if necessary, to unlock it. Scroll to the bottom of the list of backup drives and click Add or Remove Backup Disk. Remove all the disks, then add them back. Quit System Preferences. Test.

Help to get rid of background noise in GB3 when recording voice on Sony mic

I am recording my voice into GB3 using a Sony ECM-MS907 condenser microphone connected to the line-in input on my iMac (core duo 20"). I use basic vocals with no effects.
My voice records fine but there is a background noise underneath which I can't seem to get rid of. It is also present if I use the built in microphone. I don't think it is room noise as it is pretty constant throughout.
I have added a backing track which helps to mask it but this is not really satisfactory.
Any ideas how I can record without this apparent interference?

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
Classically USB microphones do not work with Premiere Elements (any version) for use with its Narration Tool. Have you found otherwise?
Where is the noise - in narration clips produced by the Narration Tool or from imported audio files added to numbered Audio Tracks and/or soundtrack?
From what you wrote, it appears that the audio noises are confined to the narration being produced with your microphone and Premiere Elements Narration Tool. Is that correct?
Under fx Effects there are audio effects that you can explore to reduce noise. See Reference Effects Adobe document for a description of the fx Effects audio effects.

If you use the same microphone and create your narration in Audacity and import that narration into a Premiere Elements project, do you get noise in your narration?

Besides making sure that your microphone is compatible with Premiere Elements, have you evaluated your narration recording techniques...how close are you to the microphone, room noise level while recording, etc.

I am reading a data from the table as '3.000X10.000' and I need to get rid of zeros and the decimal On the other hand if it is '3.45X10.5' I need to keep it same.
How can i do that?

I read the numeric value from the field(type currency) like '150.00-' I need to convert to display it in the smartform as '-15%' How to do that?
For that I need to convert the value from currency to char for concatenation. How to do that?

Need help to get rid of yellow padlock

Yes it is on auto sync but has only synced 22 of the 1200 plus contacts I have.
I have gone to a Verizon store on repeated occasions regarding this issue.
When I was there last week the young man told me there was nothing I could
do and would just have to wait until I got a new phone.
I will be so happy to get a new phone in december as this has been a major
source of contention for me. With 4 phones on verizon and $200 plus each
month in phone bills the least you think I could get was a phone that backed
up my contacts.
My son at the <Edited for privacy> line has a phone that shuts itself off mid-call on a
repeated basis.
I think that Verizon should sell a better quality of phone. We are likely all
moving to Iphones as our update dates come as each one of our smartphone
lines have repeated issues.

Okay, I know HOW to change the iTunes Store's countries, but I have an issue with my remaining store credit. I have £0.21 left to spend, and I cannot change the store to the US until I spend it. Is there any way to simply get rid of the extra credit?

How to get rid of extra spaces while TRANSFERing itab to PersentationServer

we have a program which downloads the internal table to server using the TRANSFER statement.
open dataset --- BINARY MODE
loop at ITAB.
transfer ITAB-line to g_file.
endloop.
close dataset.
This works fine.
The new requirement is we need to get rid of the spaces that are padded at the end.
ITAB data is RANDOM. The actual length of ITAB is 128 chars per line. Every 120 chars will have a eof char ( delimeter)
so the last line of ITAB may have 1 or 2 delimeters in it. if it is just 1 we can solve it using SEARCH and TRANSFER---length
if it gets 2 delimeters ?

I did use that. What I meant to say is when you have more than one EOL char in last line how do you find the last EOL and transfer upto that length.
I used DO---ENDDO and checked for each existance of the EOL char. I am not pleased with what I am doing.
Is there any better way to this ?

How do I get rid of extra space in the toolbar section?

There is a blank space between the Navigation Toolbar and the Tabs. It is the same height as the other Toolbars, and is very annoying. How do I get rid of this space?
I tried pasting in a screenshot to show what I mean, but this form won't accept it.

Sorry thought you had placed them both on the same toolbar.
What you appear to have a a bookmarks toolbar without any bookmarks.
Make sure that you have the check mark present for the bookmarks toolbar
View > Toolbars
Use "Ctrl+B" to bring up the bookmarks in the sidebar.
You should have three major folders "Bookmarks Toolbar", "Bookmarks Menu" and "Unsorted Bookmarks".
If you have no bookmarks or folders in the "Bookmarks Toolbar" that would be one reason for it to be blank, another and the only other one I think is currently possible through Firefox itself is that you don't have the wording "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" in the row when in customize, look for an item marked "Bookmarks" -- there are two such items you don't want the white star on a black background and drop-down, you want the the one with blue symbol on the right hand side -- drag it to the bookmarks toolbar, be careful in dragging you might drop it in the wrong toolbar.
If that doesn't work use the "Restore Default Set" and then you have to re-customize your toolbars (but you placed a picture here that you could work toward).
