I try to reinstall window by using usb but i can't setup bios to do that, i can't choose usb first......

Hi good day!
In relation to your concern "how to set up bios to boot my flash disk first",
I have listed easy steps to follow hereunder:
1. Shutdown your computer
2. Press power button to turn it back on and immediately tap repeatedly your "ESC" key until you see "Start-up Options"
3. Thereafter hit "F9" to choose the media you want to boot first (on your situation it's your flashdisk)

As your notebook is a business class machine, security is more stringent - the password is stored in non-volatile memory and there are no 'backdoor' passwords. Your best option would be to contact HP regarding this.

Help requested - How to open bios Bluetooth page

During the normal boot process I see the Bluetooth symbol light up but only for a few seconds then it switches off.
Only once was I able to open the bios setup of my x201T Type 3113 to select Bluetooth. I cannot recall how I did this but now neither the ThinkVantage button, F1, F8 or F12 will open up bios setup that has a Bluetooth selection page. Any bios setup that does open has no page that mentions Bluetooth.
What must I do do get this page again so that I can enable Bluetooth?

Hi Beemer,
In the bios, click on the Security tab, then click on I/O Port access.
The bluetooth is listed there.

Help on how to setup a WRT320N as an access

I need help to setup a WRT320N as an Accesspoint. I also have a WAG320N as mt main connection to the internet. It settings are 192.168.1.1. It is also set for 50 users with a starting ip of 192.168.1.100
The setting I am trying to use for the WRT320N are as follows.
Internet ip 192.168.1.140
Subnet 255.255.255.0
DHCP is set to off.
The router ip I want to set is 192.168.1.2 but it will no allow this. Is there a work around.

1. Don't set an internet IP address. Leave it on Automatic/DHCP.
2. Set the LAN IP address to 192.168.1.2.
3. Disable the DHCP Server.
4. Connect one of the LAN Ports to a LAN port of the WAG320N.

Help Needed: How to setup external procedure in listener on 11gR2

I have successfully installed 11gR2 RAC on two nodes RHEL5.3, I noticed that the default configuration has something different from previous versions (such as 10gR2 or 11gR1):
(1) listener.ora is under $GRID_HOME/network/admin (a.k.a under Grid tree) not under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin, and have a new file called "endpoints_listener.ora"

Help with how to setup property list correctly

I am developing an iPhone application and I need a database to store data.
Since it's small amount of data I'll go for Property List.
But I have zero experience with it. I was hoping you could help me set it up.
It's an app based on karate techniques required for each belt.
Firstly I need the top category to be the belt. and a subcategory for EACH belt to be Requirements, Stances, Blocks, Hand Techniques, Foot Techniques, Kata and Kumite.
How do I do that?

Use Xcode to copy/paste more belts. Rename belts as needed.
This is only the plist structure for drilling down and does not include details for each category beyond the items shown.
You can't be doing any of this if you have zero experience - you'll have questions for every tiny step and unless someone builds your app for you, you'll go ahead very, very slowly.
It is up to anyone with zero experience to spend time going thru the most basic hello world tutorials, as an example, and learn enough to be able to gain some traction on their own...this is not trivial stuff that you can just install a few tools and make what you want the next day, sorry.

--Use the storage array hardware RAID 1 mirroring protection when possible to reduce the mirroring overhead on the server.
Which is a good raid 1 configuration considering my machine setup?

Should I go for something like:
5 * raid 1 of 2 disks in each raid: disk group DATA
5 * raid 1 of 2 disks in each raid: disk group FRA
Then ASM will take care of all the striping between the 5 raids inside a disk group right?
OR, I go for:
1 * raid 1 of 10 disks: disk group DATA
1 * raid 1 of 10 disks: disk group FRA
In the second configuration, does ASM recognize that there are 10 disks in my raid configuration and stripes on those disks? Or to use ASM striping, I need to have lots of raid in a disks group?
Here is my Machine Characteristics:
O/s is Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.5 64 bit
Single instance on Enterprise Edition 10g r2
200 GIG database size.
High "oltp" environment.
Estimated growth of 60 to 80GIG per year
50-70GIG archivelogs generation per Day
Flashback time is 24 hours: 120GIG of flashback space in avg
I keep a Local backup. Then push to another disk storage, then on tape.
General Hardware Info:
Dell PowerEdge 2950
16 GIG RAM
2 * 64 bit dual core CPU's
6 * local 300G/15rpm disks
Additional Storage:
Dell PowerVault MD1000
15 * 300G/15rpm Disks
So I have 21 Disks in total.

I would personally prefer the first configuration and let ASM stripe the disks. Generally speaking, many RAID controllers will stripe then mirror (0+1) when you tell it to build a striped and mirrored RAID set on 10 disks. Some will mirror then stripe (1+0) which is what most people prefer. That's because when a 1+0 configuration has a disk failure, only a single RAID 1 set needs to be resync'd. The other members of the stripe won't have to be resynchronized.
So, I'd prefer to have ASM manage 5 luns and let ASM stripe across those 5 luns in each disk group. It also increases your ability to reorganize your storage if you need 20% more info in DATA and can afford 20% less in FRA, you can move one of your RAID 1 luns from FRA to DATA easily.
That's my 0.02.

Row/rack/bin sounds like an inventory system. For a simple system you might want to build your own from scratch, but for even a mid-sized company you really want a shrink-wrapped solution -- i.e. Oracle apps or SAP.
You don't want to be figuring out how to model material transactions, move orders, etc. Nor do you probably want to dive into various cost accounting options.

Ok, a topic I see very often on many forums, and several times here, is the following; How to flash bios, how to setup the bios settings, and how to setup the raid array, and then setup the bios to boot from the raid array. Could we perhaps pull our heads togheter and write a detailed guide on these three topics, taking into account how to do it on the most used (commonly written about) MSI boards? and perhaps put as a sticky?
It would help many novice users trying to deal with these problems. I am willing to write on the subject of flashing bios on the MSI K8N SLI Platinum and how to install a Bios Saviour.

You do not need the Setup Assistant; in fact, you do not need any software on an external hard drive. I have two LaCie's; I erased the drive as soon as I plugged it in. You will need to format it anyway because most hard drives come Windows formatted. So, if you only want to use it with the Mac, highlight it in Disk Utility and choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format and the GUID Partition scheme under Options. While doing that, it will erase the drive (and get rid of the LaCie software) - once finished, your drive is ready to use for Time Machine or any other backup plans you have for it.

Launch the Terminal application; e.g., by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search. Copy or drag -- do not type -- the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:
sudo rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. Confirm.
Reboot. The Setup Assistant will launch.
