Help me, I can't log into the iTunes store.

Please help. I am very frustrated with my Apple TV.
I tried to rent a movie but the iTunes Store was unable to log me in.
And yet I can log in with ease on my computer. ***.

I'm afraid I can't help, but I'm also unable to login from my Apple TV.
FWIW, I am able to login with the same apple id and password from my computer and my ipad, and make purchases. I get an error telling me that I should use the iforgot service to retrieve my password or reset it, but I don't want to do that, it works fine on other devices.
I've now tried it enough times that my apple tv is warning me that too many attempts have been made. But again, everything still works fine from other devices. Is there anything else I can try? Currently I'm not able to access my itunes match music or my purchased itunes movies.

It sounds as though your iPhone is having some difficulty accessing the App Store servers when attempting to sign in. I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

Hey everyone I have itunes downloaded but when I click on Itunes Store from my itunes homepage it get the following message, "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. Were you connecting regulary up until a week ago? I have noticed that I have gotten a lot of those messages tonight. May the iTune site is very busy? (a lot of iTunes cards given out today)
I closed iTunes and then re-opened and it helped. My connections have been intermittent at best tonight.

Yes, after updating to iTunes 11.1.0,126 no Internet was available any longer on WLAN nor LAN interfaces (Windows 8 64bit version). WLAN interface still has connection to the router (on low level) but on higher protocol level no connectivity exist).

Just follow the procedure, hence go to the "device manager", look for neworkadaper and de-install LAN and WLAN drivers. Reboot the PC/Laptop and Windows will install the driver(s) again and at the same time repair the mess produced by Apple.
This issue occured only on one of our family Laptop but not on a 2nd. Laptob nor PC.

I am afraid all apps are tied to the Apple ID they are purchased with and are not transferable.
Your son have to buy those apps with his own Apple ID and start from scratch.

Uninstalled iTunes,
Removed firewall and protection.

Are you trying to download directly from iPhone?
If true, go to Settings > Store > Apple ID > sign out then sign back in again.
