: Ciao Nicolas
Yes,Nicolas..
then only application ruuning at port 9000 is isfrv60 i stardetd.
Not only..i can note, that if i start ifrsv60 port=9000 for first
and then i modify then listener number port of OAS to 9000, the
listener applet say me something like..i cannot able to fork...
So, i MUST to set AOS listener port to 9000,and AFTER start
ifsrv60 on port 9000.
Only in this way there are'nt errors..but nothing happens..
Same story if the number port isn't 9000 ..
However..i ask to myself, why the release note and guide on OAS
web pages are fills of all examples to how to do buldin
cartridges and application, but there aren't any examples about
web-forms!!

Has anyone succeeded in running web forms in netscape 6.1?

    Thanks for any responses

I have tested Patch 9 with Jinitiator 1.3.1.6 and Netscape 6.2

    Hussain Afridi wrote:
Why Other Browser cannot run oracle forms without IE.Let aside we don't know what forms version you are using, your statement is simply wrong. I am running Forms 10gR2 with Firefox for quite some time (from 2 to 12 and now with 10.0.7 ESR). So I know for a fact that you can run Forms with other Browsers then IE. Also why would Oracle certify other Browsers (which they did) if it wouldn't work in the first place?
So to answer your "question": forms most certainly won't work on FF on your side because you didn't configure your formsweb.cfg properly. For newer Versions of Fírefox you'd have to use the Sun JPI instead of JInit:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/documentation/forms-jre-131772.pdf
Also if you'd have used the forum search it would have come up with some informations on what to do; e.g.
Running Oracle Forms applications using  Firefox 3.6
So to sum it up you should reprhase your original question to:
How do I use the forum search/google to search for informations already provided a hundred times?cheers

  • Cannot run the form

    Dear all,
i am using Oracle Developer suite 10g with Oracle Database 10g r2 on windows 7 64 bit with internet explorer.
i have configure the loop back adapter with ip 192.168.10.1.
but it is showing UNIDENTIFIED NETWORK on its status.
i have a connection to internet from my laptop LAN.
at the very first time when i run the form, jinitiator was not already installed.
i install it manually from jinit directory.
now when i run the form, the first time the url is looking like this
    http://127.0.0.1:52078/qPwZrVoeYdJcgndXJcxhu60N3tx98JDujeo7y8ez2t3NuhSV
after a while it looks like this
    http://welcome-pc:8889/forms/frmservlet
Internet explorer cannot display this page.
i am looking for your kind help regarding this issue.
    Thanks

    thanks Anderson,
i copied a jvm.dll provided by a thread in the forums, in the jinititiator directory.
    now i installed firefox
when i run the form , firefox display nothing,
the url of the firefox is like below
    http://welcome-pc:8889/forms/frmservlet
i am afraid, it is due to loopback adapter.
    how could i resolve that?

If you find out an answer to this let me know. I'm having the
    same problem.
Also after you installed Developer 6.0 I'm assuming you clicked
on the "web" button and got a few errors and each time the error
fix was to add some entry in the PC register, right? If so what
entries did you add to the register so I can make sure mine are
    the same ones. Thanks.

First of all, thank you for your reply.
I have already setup the params you mentioned.
    FORMS60_MAPPING = http://MYHOST:XXXX/abc/
where MYHOST is my host server
XXXX is the port number of listener
    abc is a virtual path
    FORMS60_OUTPUT = C:\ORANT\WEBTEMP

    Are they correct ?
Can you tell me what is the purpose of setting the above params ?

  • Safari cannot display web form correctly (BUG)

    Hello,
I tried to sign up for a popular robotics exhibition in Japan. A lot of people are probably having this issue.
The signup form will not display radio buttons however IE displays them correctly. The bottom section of this page has 7 areas full of radio buttons. Why can't Safari show it? This is very bad.
I had to run Windows in VMware to sign up!!

Thank you. Unfortunately the event is over so I cannot see it anymore, so will have to see if this problem appears in the future.

  • Can only run Web form 1 time then error

I have a link to a form in my portal and the first time I open the form it works great. Then I click BACK and try again and it gives me the Error= (FRM-92050: Failed to connect to the Server:/forms90/I90servlet:-1). Why is it doing that? Also, How do I set the link to automatically open a new page when I click the link and login automatically? Thanks alot for anyones help!

    Matthew,
I think the problem you are running into is that you restart a new application (or the same but in a new process) without closing the first properly. There is a known issue with OC4J in Oracle9iAS 9.0.2 that prevents us to start a second Forms session in teh same Browser process. I am just guessing here because I don't have an environment to reproduce - but it would be plausible.
For the link oart, you better ask in a Portel forum. Automatic login is performed using SSo in Forms.

  • SAP WebAS Supportability - cannot run Web Service

    Hi Experts,
I found in the supported platform document, boe_xi_30_supported_platforms_windows.pdf.
It states that SAP Web Application Server 7 ...  Not supported for Web Services.
Does this mean we cannot use Xcelius with Query as a web service on the top of SAP BW ?
    Thanks and regards,
    Manabu

    Hi Manabu,
In the company I'm working for, we want to implement this solution (Business Object <-> SAP and Xcelsius with QAAWS in order to extract data from SAP Queries).
To do so, we got advises from SAP consultants. Apparently, there is a way to customise the WaS server with a special SDK, in order that it supports Web Services.
But the consultants did not recommand this solution (I didn't know why). The way we choosed is to use a Tomcat for the Web Services and a WaS for the rest of all the applications (You just have to interface the two server and to separate the tasks).
I can't tell you the result we've got, because we will try it next month...
    Hope it helps...

  • I loaded the newest version and it only shows an hourglass and then says it could not open. HELP! I cannot run a crash report either.

Firefox worked before though at times encountered a problem and had to close. Now I've loaded the newest version and it won't even fully load without having to close. I plugged in the crash item id that HELP forum instructed, and the report said it could not proceed. SO I'm not experienced in any of this and don't know how to make it work. I have to use Explorer until it is fixed. Help please.

I have a feb form that has a 28 save limit.  When users save the form and return to submitt them they get a error message that says the form has expired or has been submitted.  The form is open and it was not submitted.  Any thoughts.
Form deadline is tomorrow and people are getting angry when I tell them to recreate the form.

    Hi;
Can you forward me any of the emails from your users with their saved link that is not working and we can look into it?

  • Cannot run web services

I am currently following the JWSDP tutorial and have a problem, I can reach the splash page at http://localhost:8080/ but cannot access the page http://localhost:8080/GSApp where the Getting Started application resides. When i try accessing the page it simply takes me to http://www.commonname.com/en/PowerSearch/PowerSearch.asp?qry=localhost:8080&app=100 does anyone else have this error and if so how can it be resolved?

Have you noticed there is no GSApp directory under docs\tutorial\examples? I just downloaded everything two days ago. GSApp seems to have been renamed gs. I manually edited some config files and changed GSApp to gs. Everything works fine.
