Help me I lost everything media!

on my iphone4s i lost my pictures and videos on my pc window 7 after my last backup
where are they?

solved! what I did was
1 - delete safari with AppZapper
2 - show hidden files
3 - delete all files safari
4 - install from the boot disk the safari package, a folder called webkit and safari
5 - update from apple safari
all ok! even improved the speed of the browser and the mac and not heated!

Since reinstalling itunes i can no longer sync. Error message says already synced with another itunes library. I get a blank sync - no songs, photos ect as it comes up with this error whenever try to select what is to be synced. Help - lost everything

So just to be clear, when you say "just bought" how long ago was that? Is it on this new iPhone that you had pictures, texts, etc that you want? Were you backing up to iCloud or onto iTunes?
This may not help for everything but if you go to iCloud.com and log in, are you able to find your pictures there?

My phone froze up and required a restore factory settings - lost everything! Now itunes cant find any information or connect my phone for a backup. PLEASE HELP

If the information wasn't backed up (as it should have been) then there's no way to recover it. When a phone is in recovery mode like yours is, all data are gone.

With your device connected to the computer, click on the Music tab, and uncheck the Sync Music box and sync. Then go back in and reselect the Sync Music box (and any other filters you want), and re-sync. See if that will download your music.

Updated to iOs5 lost everything! Help?

So I updated my phone to iOS5 and this is what happens. I lose everything. Cannot restore from backup, nothing. Heres the rundown :
This is the message I get when I plug it in
"iTunes was interrupted while restoring the contents of the iPhone “Gayla's iPhone”. Would you like to restore this iPhone again now?"
So I click "Continue Restore"
Then I get this "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50)"
Whenever I try to restore it from the back up from earlier, it says that it is not compatible and that I cannot use it, or that it is corrupt.
So I click Restore and of course it erases everything (there is nothing on it anyway because it already erased it all)
So we go through that process then I get this :
" The iphone could not be restored. An internal error occured." ( of course it did...)
The back up is on here, because whenever I go into prefference > Devices.. I can see the back up and its what I need but I cannot get it to my phone. How do I get it on there.
I have one idea but I don't know if it's the right one,
Restore it to the older/latest version of iOS that I had (not iOS5) and then restore it from the backup, THEN try to the update again.
Is that right or is there an easier way to do this? Really appreciate your help, as I have lost everything, text message, apps, contacts, pictures. And this is stuff that cannot be replaced.

I understand that this is a board dedicated for iPhone users but I can't find any other posts that mentions this mess!!! I just updated my iPod Touch 4th Generation to iOS 5 and lost all of my music, videos, and apps, and only restored my photos.
I called Apple last week and they assured me that this update will NOT delete any of my data and FML it did!
I always sync/backup my iPod with my laptop --- I assumed that this also backs up my music library into a compressed file somewhere...so I clear out all my music on my iTunes because 1,000 songs really slows down my laptop.
Now I'm left with nothing!!!!!!
I went to the App Store through my iPod and it has all my previously purchased apps ready for me to re-install. Went to iTunes through my device, tried to reload music that I previously purchased and it notified me that I bought it before...and asked me if I want to buy it again?!?!
1) Is there anyway that I could at least get back my previously purchased music and video WITHOUT having to repurchase it?
2) Is there anyway that I could recover the rest of my library? I did do the BACKUP
---> I already attempted the RIGHT CLICK on device through iTunes and restore on latest BACKUP----it did absolutely nothing to my old files. This is sooo not worth the download....over 1,000 songs!!!!

A friend gave us her used iphone. We used it to take home videos and photos, and now that we synced it to our PC it has lost everything on it, and it has been replaced with the contents of our already existing iPod. In other words, all our music, photos and apps that were on our existing itunes account (used with our IPOD) etc, have been put into this used iPhone. Is there any way to get back all that stuff (mainly just want our home videos and photos back!!) Where on earth are they? Are they stored somewhere on my PC? I feel so dumb for syncing it now, and very sad for having lost my precious videos of my kids.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

Yes I'am in 5.2, I did mention it right after.
This is wonderful Peter, great advice. I got to have my latest version before I created my table of contents.
In Pages > Menu > File > Revert
and see what you get.

As for forgetting your Apple ID, head to If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support and follow those instructions.
As for those things you lost, well that's your own fault for not syncing to iCloud or your computer. You can re download most previously downloaded items once you log into your Apple account in iTunes or the AppStore.

Transfer purchases then sync it with this new library.
