Help me: javax.ejb????

When i compile .java file, it can not resolve import javax.ejb.*;
I don't why? or jdk1.3.1 doesn't support javax.ejb.*????????

I think the javax.ejb.* class files are not found in the "regular" java sdk... you have to download a J2EE implementation like JBoss and then include some of the jar files that come with that in your CLASSPATH.

i am building two tables the relationship between them is one to many..
I just created a very simple test code run a JSP to call one of these entity beans.. and I got the Error like this...
javax.ejb.CreateException: Error creating EntityBean: ORA-01747: invalid user.table.column, table.column, or column specification
I have checked my Oracle Database and codes seems nothing is wrong.. I actually built this CMB by using JDeveloper 9031 and creating the entity bean from the table directly..
really no clues with this error now.. :( Help Help :)

I used Jdeveloper 9032 IDE and built these two CMPs by mapping from Oracle database directly.... i didnot modify anything for these two CMPs since assume JDeveloper will do the setting for me..
One of the problems i am facing now is
what vale (ClassesLocal classes_class_id) should I put when call this create method... this paramter is gennerated by IDE.....

Hi Peter,
You are right. Child is being inserted even before parent got inserted (actually "committed") into the DB.we would need to look at your code where are you doing all these creates (may be ejbCreate). Most probably ur error should get fixed by changing the transactional attributes in the DD files. Try using <delay-database-inserts-until> element.

Urgent Please help: Error Testing EJB in Universal Test Client

Hi,
I have to get this working by tommrow guys - can you please help.
I wonder if someone can assist. I am new to WSAD 5.1 and am trying to test an EJB I have created with both local and remote interfaces.
The bean has been created OK and ithe stub files have created for the bean via Generate->Deploy and RMIC code.
The RJB project has been defind in my WAS server correctly. The JNDI name in the EJB is \ejb\MyEJBHome
I start the Universal Test client (UTC) via the options on my WAS Server and then click on the JNDI explorer icon option and see my local EJB Folder and an ejb folder (plus others). If I go to the local EJB folder the stub for my local home inteface appears , I am able to click on it and consumme the bean.
However if I go to the ejb folder I see my home stub for the remote inteface , I do indded need to click on this to get at the remote inteface for my bean. However on clicking it I get a WAS error "null reference found".
It does not appear to be able to get at the MyBeanHome stub (no reference to it).
Ok what am I doing wrong! The project build with no errors and I can see all the stubs in the ejbModule folder. Now is the UTC expecting these stubs to be sitting in a particular directory? if so where?

I�m importing the javax.ejb.* library, but Eclipse can�t find the JAR it needs. Where can I find this JAR? Do I have to download or what?

Thanks, I�ve already downloaded the javaee.jar from the Sun webpage. As you can see I�m quite new to EJB developing. I want to create an EJB that will get some information from a database and send it back to a servlet, and then a web page. I've been browsing the JBoss page, and I see there are LOTS of versions. RWB error: javax.ejb.CreateException XIRWBUSER cannot log

Hi,
When I try to monitor the messages processed by my integration server (RWB interface->Message Monitor->is.[instance].[server]), an authorization error occured:
"Unknown error: javax.ejb.CreateException: You cannot log on to system [SID] with user XIRWBUSER"
I ve read the following post but I didn't find any answer:
Demo application: "You cannot log on to system .... with user XIRWBUSER
My XIRWBUSER has several roles:
SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR
SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER
SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER_MAIN
Even if I give him the sap_all and sap_new profiles, I still have the same error.

Javax ejb CreateException: Could not create stateless EJB

I have a JavaEE (EJB3.0) project deployed on glassfish2.1 as -.ear (exported from eclipse3.4 to the autodeploy-folder) with -.ejb.jar, -.webui.war, general-lib-base.jar (some other...)
The session bean is invoked by a jsf-managed bean. Have a pure annotation +@ejb+ in managed bean (identifiing the ejb-interface (+@Remote+) ...the ejb is annotated with +@stateless+
get the following error message:
*...nested exception is: javax.ejb.CreateException: Could not create stateless EJB*
as beginner in the JavaEE-field I'm looking for some help concerning the possible causes.

Javax.ejb.EJBException while opening the IR Objects in PI7.1.1

Hi All
In our projects we are movig XI3.0 objects to PI7.1, for that we have done the Export of IR objects from XI3.0 & Import it in PI7.1. All the objectys are imported successfully in the IR of PI7.1.
But when we are trying to open the objects & doing some changes in the objects & trying to do the activate , we are getting the following errro in the IR of PI7.1.

Package javax.ejb not found error

Hi there,
I've downloaded j2se 1.4 and j2ee 1.3.1 and installed it on Windows XP. I set the environment variables as described. When I compile a .java file that imports the javax.ejb.* package, then I get an error "package javax.ejb not found". I feel like an idiot and I know it's something to do with the environment variables. (or just XP, most likely)

How are you compiling your source? If you're using an IDE then you should edit your project classpath to include the j2ee.jar file (it'll probably be in the lib directory of your J2EE installation).
If you're doing it from the command line then type in SET CLASSPATH, look at the classpath it returns and check that it includes the j2ee.jar file.

I'm trying to run a ejb example downloaded from http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/information/download.html this link. And when try to build the app its showing some error that javax.ejb doesnt exist.What would i do? I am a beginner please help me. Thanks in advance.

You need that jar in your classpath when you compile the code. Setting the classpath and compiling from a command line is entry level Java, perhaps you should check it out before delving into J2EE:

If you are not using the command line but an IDE then simply it add the jar to the build path. For example is eclipse: Project > Properties > Java Build Path
