I'm a student of polytechnic university. I'm now studying about Video Streaming System, I know Oracle Video Server is a Video On Demand system. I want to download Oracle Video Server software 3.0 to study, but I can't find it from Internet. If you know where to download this software pls show me. Thank so much!

Oracle Video Server was sold to Thirdspace and is now Open Video Server. Oracle does not control it anymore. You can do a search on the web for Thirdspace, or "Open Video Server".

The Oracle Video Server was sold off in October 2000 by Oracle to nCube and Thirdspace. You might want to ask folks at nCube.

But I get an Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot
be served at this time. Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports
Server name is not specified.
However, if I move the cursor to the end of the same url (or put
a space at the end) and hit Enter, then the report is
displayed. I guess there must be something wrong with my
configuration. Please help. I appreciated any inputs from you.

I found the solution to my problem. It was nothing to do with
the cgicmd.dat keymap file, but the html form itself. It's
confused between the url arguments and form arguments from the
submit button. So, what I did was open a new window with all
arguments instead of using the submit function.

Need Help on Oracle BI Server Service

Hi there,
I would need help on to start Oracle BI Server service start.
I have installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4 version and I've been working on creating repository and creating Answers & Dashboards etc..,
Today, I was working on to point other repository in NQSConfig.INI file and when I tried to Start Oracle BI Server Service I get below error:
" *Could not start the Oracle BI Server service on Local Computer*
*Error 1064 An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request*"
It's been working, just I got this error today only, all other services are working fine.
Has anyone got this error?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are right, I changed repo name and changed back to original one and and Service is starting now.
I think something missing space or format issue when I add other entry in the NQSconfig.INI file, Ihave to follow same synatx.
Now I am good to go.

So i kind of need step by step on how to do this.
The "if all else fails" method:
1) Copy the "missing" VOB files from your DVD to your hard drive.
2) Convert them to an iMovie '08 compression format.
3) Import them into iMovie '08 using the "Import Files" iMovie '08 File menu option.
The quick, easy, and free method of converting the VOB files would be to download an application like iSquint. (It is the "free smaller brother" of Visual Hub.) It will handle either MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files and retain their audio, has a "drop & go" batch interface for multiple file conversion and allows you to export to either MPEG4/AAC or H.264/AAC formats -- both of which are iMovie '08 compatible. If you are willing to spend $20 for the QT MPEG-2 Playback component, then I would recommend MPEG Streamclip (free) as a better work flow since it has many more features and would allow you to export to iMovie '08 compatible editing specific formats like DV or AIC.

Need help about Oracle Application Server Terms

Is Oracle Application Server called Weblogic Server?
What is the difference between it and the HTML_DB or Application Express? are they the same? Can all run JSP? and what other supported languages?
I am just little bit confused about those terms(Middleware, Application Server, HTTP Server, HTML_DB, Application Express, Oracle Fusion)
Would appreciate if someone can explain them briefly with examples for getting more clear.

HELP!! Video Editing Software, VHS to dvd, Canon Vixia HF20

I have several things I would like to accomplish and am not sure how to go about it! I have a laptop running Windows XP, a Canon Vixia HF20 Camcorder (I can get the videos onto computer), several 8mm video tapes and alot of VHS tapes. I would like to make dvd's of them all. I can't even get the video from my camcorder onto a dvd now! Please help me with what exactly what I need to do all of this. Thanks in advance!!

After doing some more research I found a product we sell called the Pinnacle Studio MovieBox Plus that should be able to recompress your HD video footage to MPEG-2 so you can burn your HD footage onto a DVD in order to be able to play your videos on a DVD player. This product should also allow you to connect a VHS player and your 8mm Sony Handycam to your computer and then convert your analog video footage to a digital format that can then be burn onto a DVD. This product has DV, S-video, and composite inputs and then outputs to your computer via a USB port. I am not able to install Oracle failover software.
I saw in note 986758
Change the last line of the script sapofs.cmd from the temporary
directory of
@"%rootdir%\install\setup.exe"
to
@"%rootdir%\install\setup.exe" -jreLoc=
c:\TEMP\OUIIA64\stage\Components\
oracle.swd.jre\1.4.2.11.0\1\DataFiles
When doing so, replace the name of the directory "C:\TEMP\OUIIA64"
with the name of the temporary directory that you created during the
installation of the Oracle software database
I am not understanding what exactly this meaning.
Please anybody help me in the loop

Installing Oracle 10.2 on Itanium 2 systems on Windows contains the following sections.
1) the Microsoft HotFixes required for the installation and operation of the database
2)the installation of the Oracle 10gR2 database software
3) the installation of the current Oracle 10gR2 patch set
4) the installation of the Oracle FailSafe server software 3.3.4.
I guess the first 3 sections you have completed. The 4th section (installing Oracle FailSafe server) point 3 says the following

to

   c:\TEMP\OUIIA64\stage\Components\

Here the step 3 points to the section 2 (installation of the Oracle 10gR2 database software). i.e it is referring to the point 3. i.e
Create a temporary directory, for example, C:\TEMP\OUIIA64. Note
that this directory is also required for the installation of Oracle
Failsafe (see below).
You have to replace directory "c:\TEMP\OUIIA64" with what you have given as temp directory while installing Oracle 10gR2 database software.

Error installing 11.1.2 on redhat 5 --Oracle HTTP server -- -failed

when i am installing 11.1.2 on RHEL 5 ,i see that Oracle HTTP server installtion failed.
I am not understanding what could be the reaosn .?
Else is there a way to avaoid the Oracle HTTP server and go for apche HTTP server.

Installing Oracle HTTP Server manually may be an option here.
It seems straight-forward enough. You can run the Oracle HTTP Server installer in GUI mode, outside EPM System Installer, using setup.exe (Windows) or runInstaller from EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/ohs2_tmp_stage/Disk1. Specify MIDDLEWARE_HOME/ohs as the target installation folder, and accept the defaults for all other settings.

Oracle Experss Server 6.3.4

Hi,
I downloaded Oracle Experss Server 6.3.4 to my computer and installed it on Win 2000 Professional but everytime that the service try to start, it terminates with error 2.
I changed the registry value of the password related to the UserId OESDBA, OESinit, OESguest and I set them to the same value of the UserId.
After that I tried again to start the service, but it terminates with error 40.
In the Server is installed also Oracle Database 9.2.0.1.

Oracle VM Server "CD Not Found"

Hello,
I am attempting to reinstall the Oracle VM Server software and am getting the following error:
----------------| CD Not Found |-----------
The Oracle VM Server CD was not
found in any of your CDROM drives.
Please insert the Oracle VM Server
CD and press OK to retry.
This was the same CD I used to install the first time just trying to reinstall. Anyone ever seen this before?

Never mind I tested the media and waited for every step to finish even extra time and then it all worked.
