HELP ME PLEASE.....PLEASE.......SCREEN FREEZE!
Hello! I only received my ipod yesterday. Installed Itunes 7, and plugged in my ipod. The only trouble is that everytime I do the computer freezes. I can't move the mouse, it literally just freezes. Ipod seems to work just fine. Please can you help me? I've tried re-installing itunes.

Help! iPod Nano Screen Freeze Problem!

I purchased my iPod Nano 4GB about a month and a half ago. A couple of minutes ago when I plugged it into my iMac the screen just froze.
I've tried plugging it back in, turning it off, and everything. Nothing works! The screen stays lighted with one of my songs paused on the screen, even though the light is supposed to turn off in five seconds.

Connect the iPod to a computer. Switch the "Hold" button to the right, and then back to the left.
Next, press and hold the "Menu" and Center buttons at the same time for six seconds.
This should reset the iPod.
It cured my frozen screen.

Please Help...My screen freezes up
This is my 1st Palm. I have the TX.
Many times when I try to use my Palm, I can turn it on, but the screen is frozen. No matter what I tap on, the screen won't move or let me enter new information. Often, if I let it alone for awhile, I can go back on, and then it will be workable.
I am in a professional setting, and this has become very embarrassing. I will be asked to look up a medication, for example, or use the calculator function, and it will only work correctly about 25% of the time. More often than not, the screen will be frozen. I have only used my Palm for about 2 weeks, and it has been this way from the beginning.
Any advice?
Post relates to: Palm TXAs with most problems that occur on a Palm PDA, it is either software or hardware related and we have to determine which one.
Best method is to first make a complete backup of your unit to your SD card using the free "NVBackup" (available from http://www.freewarepalm.com) After the backup is complete, Hard Reset the unit, then test to see if full functionality returns.
To perform a Hard Reset:
While pressing and holding the Power button down, tap and release the Reset button in back and continue to hold the Power button down. When the grey Palm logo appears, you can release the Power button.
You should now see the warning page in about 5 languages. Press the UP direction on the 5-way pad to complete the task. Your Palm will reset itself several times as it re-installs the original programs and erases all your previous data.
DO NOT HOTSYNC YET! Test the unit before reinstalling any software. If the unit works correctly, your problem is being caused by a "drug interaction" of software - maybe one rogue program, or a combination of several. You'll have to reinstall the third-party programs one or a few at a time to find the problem one. To avoid re-installing a software issue, rename your /Backup directory in your Palm folder (on a PC running XP, it's found here: C/Program Files/Palm(One)/"your HotSync ID name truncated"/Backup) to something like "/BackupOLD". Now perform the HotSync, choose your HotSync name you've been using, and all your PIM data will return, but not the third-party programs. Test for functionality again. If all is good, start installing the old programs from your /BackupOLD directory one (or a few if brave) at a time.
If the unit does not work after a Hard Reset is performed correctly, then it may be Hardware-related. (If it's a connection problem via either BlueTooth or Wifi, be sure nothing has changed on the unit you're trying to connect to!)

Has anyone had problems with the screen freezing for hours?
Yesterday my phone kept freezing when I went to unlock it, after 5 minutes or so it would then go to the code unlocking screen but last night my screen frooze for 12 hours until it finally ran out of battery and shut down. When the screen freezes there is no way to force a shut down...can anyone help?
If the screen freezes, reset the phone - press both the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears (~10 seconds). If freezing recurs frequently, restore the phone. See Appendix B of the User Guide:

I am trying to add a bookmark in safari ios7, but when I tap the box with the upward arrow no options appear anywhere on screen to add a bookmark. In fact the screen freezes and I have to close safari to be able to unfreeze it. What is wrong, can anyone please help me? Thanks

Rebuild screen freeze - unable to update firmware as not docking. Help please
Hello, I've got an 8gb Zen.
Always worked fine til I tried one of those hand crank chargers, since then I turn it on and it will freeze on the rebuilding screen.
Ran scandisk on it - no joy.
Wanted to try and update firmware to see if that helped but it will not connect to computer via USB. It will charge from the usb but just not connected, nothing.
Any help appreciated. Thank youQRe: Rebuild screen freeze - unable to update firmware as not docking. Help please? So, it freezes on the rebuilding screen after formatting? It is very odd. Just to make sure... you have formatted (not cleaned up) the device from the Recovery Mode menu, right?
My only suggestion now is trying to mount the device on another computer (try one with a BSD or Linux operating system) and format it from here. With some luck, you should be able to see it as a new USB dri've. I am suggesting one of these operating systems, as you have a chance to mount your player on them even if it does not boots up properly. (I did it to recover mine just before suspecting there was a discrepancy on the FATs stored of the filesystem.) In your case, you will have a chance to format the device (using a FAT filesystem, of course) from these operating systems. I am, however, surprised to see that the Recovery Mode format function does not do its work on your player.
If your device does not boot up and freezes on the scanning/rebuilding processes there is a chance you have a problem with your filesystem instead of a fried USB port. So, there is a chance you can fix this device yourself yet. -
I was deleting photos when the screen froze and I had to shut down the computer manually. Now after the first minute of being turned on the screen freezes and the mouse arrow goes into that rainbow whirling disc and won't stop no matter how long I let it go. My keyboard is Turkish. My keys are not marked the same as an English one is, further complicating resolving the problem.
The dealer I bought it from doesn't speak English and wants to charge me for repairs. I refuse to pack the computer up and ship it UPS out of town for a repair I can do plus pay for shipping.
When I received my computer I was only given the manual and no system restore discs for situations such as this. I asked where they were and was told there were none.
I suspect this is a tactic to make money on bogus tech repairs off their customers. To purchase new discs, if I can find them, can cost from $30-$40 - the dealer more than likely is re-selling the discs at 100% profit. This is Cizgili Apple Store in Adana, Turkey. I wish to report them. It is a national company too. I don't have a receipt handy, but have an emailed receipt. I can't get my computer's number to get further assistance on the Apple website withput it.

If your computer is on one minute before it freezes, than you have one minute to secure your serial number.
click the apple----->click about this Mac ------> click on version----> until you see the serial number. You may have to do this a couple of times if it freezes before you have all the numbers. A camera might help.

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace -

OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, vRAM ... and also disc layout & connections can be useful (as in, "2 internal hard-drives and an external on Thunderbolt connection for exports")
Program specs:
Specific build of Premier Pro from the bottom of the "About" splash screen off the "Help" menu is best.
Footage file type: MXF, AVCHD, MOV, m2s, what?
Even the camera it was shot on can be of interest at times.
And did you use media browser to import, then project panel to drag & drop?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now. -

If you have not done a factory reset on the device, I recommend doing a complete factory reset.
Factory Reset - Warning this will reset device back to original factory settings.
This method will not erase any MDN/MIN information
Turn off the phone
Press Power + Volume Up/Down at the same time and hold until display will show a triage android screen
Display will show:
Reboot system Now
Apply sdcard:update.zip
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Use VOL Down key to scroll down to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", press home icon to select option and wipe device.
Display shows "All user data will be wiped out", press VOLUME Up to continue or VOLUME Down to exit.
Press Volume Up
Press Home to select "Reset System Now" - device will reboot
If the problem persist I recommend having a store technician take a look at the device.

That is a baseband error. Has your phone ever been illegitimately unlocked? If so, that problem happens. If you haven't jailbroken/unlocked, visit your local Genius Bar.

I’m using Mavericks, and it’s still possible to select text to drag and for cutting and pasting. Left-clicking and right-clicking is still possible, too.
Try opening the Trackpad pane of System Preferences, and select the Point & Click tab. To right-click, ensure that your “Secondary click” checkbox has been checked; the small print under “Secondary click” is a dropdown menu which allows you to select the form of right-clicking that you prefer. (For instance, mine is set to “Click in bottom right corner”.) For left-clicking, is your “Tap to click” checkbox checked, or unchecked? (Mine is unchecked, since I prefer pushing for left-clicking over tapping to do so.) -

When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it won't support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor reverts back to the original resolution.

And if the monitor is LCD monitor, The monitor's manufacturer or reseller should also be able to tell you the native resolution for your LCD monitor. Or we may check the monitor's manual to adjust.
