No need to create the value nodes.it works with model nodes as well. Directly map ur component controller to view. insert the Interactive form ui element in ur view. open ur form in AdobeLifeCycle Designer . in that u can find ur nodes in Data View. map those to ur ui elements in form.
For mapping i m not very sure what exactly is ur problem, bcos its not very clear in ur question. Double click on ur component. open the diagram & drag a link between ur component controller & view.
For mapping to model , use same steps for component controller & model .

How to get values in the combo box in a XML form?

Hi All,
    1. I have created a property which has "Default value" as "Clothings" and "Allowed Values(csv)" as Real Estate - Sales , Clothings etc" by navigating to KM > CM > Global Services > Property Metadata > Properties.
   2. In the XML form builder when I drag this property I get a combo box for this property.
   3. But when I preview this by going to Content Management > Folder > New > FORMS > and select my XML form project I get a preview but it is not showing me the default values in the combo boxes which I created using the property in XML form builder.
Please Suggest me as to how to get those values (which I mentioned in property) in the combo box ?

I ll make the above Query Simple.
1.In Xml Form Builder when you drag a property which has some 3-4 assigned values so you are recomended to use a combo box.
2.But the problem after using COMBOBOX is I am not getting these values in the preview of the combo box.

Failed to get value of the "Attachments" column after my Edit Form customization in share point 2010

I am trying to customize the Edit Form in sharepoint 2010 .After my customization when i click on save it is giving below error.
Failed
to get value of the "Attachments" column from the "Attachments" field type control. See details in log. Exception message: Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx) "
Every thing works fine if i uncheck the Attachments property of the custom list.But i would need user to allow add attachments to the list.Could you
help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,
There is a method in the Acrobat SDK called execDialog that can be called from within an XFA Form. You can pass values to and from a dialog using this method. It is a bit involved and therefore I strongly recommend AcroDialog, which is a plugin for Acrobat from Windjack Solutions (http://windjack.com/product/acrodialogs/).
You can use this graphical interface to create dialogs and hten copy the script into your XFA Form.

My requirement is I will pass input via ABAP webdynrpo selection screen and I want to get output in ADOBE FORM.Do we have any blogs or tutorials ? BTW this will not be interactive form right?

Hi Vara,
Do follow these steps:
1) Goto SE80 and create a WDC.
2) Create a main view, and in the view go to context, and create a node and an attribute in it to fill the values from WDA.
3) Goto layout of the View, and create an inputfield UI element, and bind the attribute created in the context.
4) Now create an Interactive form UI element and give some name in the Template source of that UI element.
5) On press of enter, it asks you to create a new SFP, and say yes for that. Also choose context as the data source during that process.
6) Now SFP tcode is opened for you to design the layout.
7) Similarly desing the layout and bind the copied node from webdypro component.
8) Save and activate the form.
9) Save and activate the WDC.
10) Create an application and test it.
This completes the scenario mentiond by you..

Please help..Issue on getting parameter from a backend fm

Dear Expert,
I have a requirement which is to edit the ess~cod for the employee communication. I have copy out the function group ZHRXSS_COD_INTERFACE. I created my own function module ZCOD_VALIDATE and attached to the function group. My funtion module are just returning an export parameter and a table without getting any import parameter.
I have create a ZCodModel (pointing to the ECC function group) and the model class is ZCod_Validate_Output. I have done all the reimporting of the model and context binding. My question is why i still not getting any value from the function module. I tested the fm in ecc and it works well.
I have added the following code in do init.

I got this error when i execute it? Anyway my function module does also return a table but i have yet to define a context to store it. I am just trying to get the value of the export parameter. If it success, then i can proceed to bind the table. However now, it seem getting an export parameter also giving me problems.

Need help with Javascript to get value of standard report column

I have a SQL Query (Updateable report) region where I need to do some validations using an OnDemand Applicaiton Process and javascript. For this validation I need to use the serial number and the item id from the same report row. The function is called when the serial number is changed. I can get the serial number easily because it is a Text field, however the item id is a standard report column (making it a text field or hidden gives me a checksum error, long story). How do I get the value for the standard report column in order to set the value for an Application item to be used in my Application Process along with the serial number? Here is my code below.

Error in mru internal routine: ORA-20001: Error in MRU: row= 0, ORA-20001: ORA-20001: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process...
The item id is NOT in the table which I am updating (I use a subquery to get the data) so I think it has to be a standard report column. Hidden and Text Item (which have an item id) all generate the checksum error.
So I think I'm back to my original question. Given a standard report column on a row in a sql query (updateable report) region how do I get the value using Javascript?

I'm in anxiety about what kind of collection I need to choose:
I need to store String names and map them to indecies.
Than I need to get index of name by provide name to collection's method.
I think that HashMap will be big, because List may store objects and have indecies, but I can find an appropriate method to get name index if I want. (except iterate via list elements using iterator).
What do you think will be the best?

Trying to get values from a table in apex item.. form.. not sucessfulll

I have a form and have 3 fields.. .i need the value to be fetched from some other table... at the start...
Note if the values are present in the fields it donot need to be fetched...
Now how can i accomplish this..
I tried using ...onload event.. but data is not visible in the required field..
I tried dynaic item.. for even on page load ..it does fire..But i will like it to fire only one time..
Does any one have any idea how can this be accomplished
In oracle forms we will have done ..soemting like when new form instance trigger - select name into :mname from table where empno = :xyz;
How do we accomplish this in apex..any info will be usefull..

Yes i did try the same ..

When i checked the mtest table it shos me the row inserted...
inside foolter .. Now this means everything did get execute properly
But still the vallue of off_city is null or emtpy...
i check the filed and still its empty..
while mtest had those records..seems like some process is cleaining the values...but cant see such process...
a bit confused..here..I tried on Load after footer...
tried chaning the squence number of process ..but still it doesnt help
some how the session variables gets changed...and it is changed to empty

Get values in 1 parameter by selecting values from 2 param at selection scr

Please help me out in getting values at selection screen .
as, i am using a search help in one parameter field of selection screen and by selecting one value from their i want that corresponding values should come in the second parameter .
specificaly I have a parameter field (PERNR) , i attached one search help with this field through match code statement using table (pa0001) .
i have one more parameter field at selection screen - Designation , which is of type PSTXT of text table T528T with respect to PLANS for particular employee .
i want that when i select particular pernr using search help , their corresponding designation will display on the selection screen .
Please guide me how to solve it .

Hi,
There are two options.
Create your own search help with these TWO as EXPORT paramters and then
create a strucutre with these two fields or select one which is already there and then make Search help assignment at the strucutre level and then map the EXPORT paramters of search help to Strucutre fields, then if you select PERNR you will automatically get the Designation.
Else what you can do is
Create AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR pernr.
In this event code in such a way that once you select your pernr using this you make a query to get the Designation and then assign the value to the Designation field.

Please correct my understanding -
We use a RFC adaptive model BAPI to retrive data from R/3 system and bind the variable to ValueHelpDropDownList UI Element . This means we get the data from backend in intialization of PDF form ( It means it is one time activity which will be used to extract data from R/3 system to display to end user ).
Is there any alternative by which we can get data from R/3 system ( some thing similar to F4 help in ABAP work bench ).
Please let me know if any one implemented this functionality .

I have designed an isr adobe form, I am able to enter the values in the form.When I choose send , I am able to get the notification number.
When I use the notification no in the transaction iqs2, All the cahracteristics in the form are blank.I want the values of the form to be stored.
