i waqs updating my software whenthe computer put an error message up as it got to task 5 of 6 now the phone has an error 507 which i understand to be to do with os have tried everything possible. and it still wont work im going mad as i need it for work in the morning and i still dont have it up and running pls help me
That means the OS is not installed to your computer.

Well, you know an iPod shuffle is useful without purchasing music from the store — you can just use the music you already have.
But the question is — where was the music card purchased? Was the music card purchased in the US? This would mean that you have to use it in the US store. You can also change which store you're looking at by going to the iTunes music store and using the popup in the bottom middle of the iTunes music store main page. This popup will allow you to select which country you're in. -
Grr... please someone help me and stop me going mad!!!
I've just got a 160gb apple tv and running a macbook so all is good in the apple household, that is until i try and sync my movies or anything thing in itunes over to the apple tv, stream works but as soon as i log out of computer poof everythings gone.
Even after it says it's synced the apple tv still shows as nothing used on the capacity used bit of itunes
all i wanted for christmas was to save my movies to apple tv!!! please someone post me an idiots guide i've try doing what it said in the manual and for me to have to use a manual was hard enough (being a man and all) so for it still not to work!!! Grrr!!!
Please help!!!Two areas to look at:
Firstly if everything disappears from the tv when you turn off the mac or disconnect in some other way, this is because you are watching or trying to watch streamed content rather than synced content.
You watch streamed content by selecting 'my itunes library' from the source menu on your tv.
You watch synced content by selecting 'tv' from the same menu.
Once you have correctly identified whether you are watching streamed or synced content, you can then determine whether or not content is syncing as it should.
The fact that your capacity chart indicates your tv is empty suggests you have not synced anything, but the fact that itunes and or the tv tells you are syncing and appears to complete tends to contradict this.
One possible reason could be that it is syncing, but syncing nothing because you have not yet selected any content to sync.
With all this in mind, can you tell us how far into setting up syncing you have got. -
Please help - Urgent - fans going mad... Can it be a second hard drive...?
Hi there. I'm afraid i know very little about the workings of a mac other than swapping drives, ram etc.
I was made redundant a week ago and part of my severance was a 3.0QX tower... I have been leant an SSD drive running 10.6.8 which I know was working in the mac when I got it as I saw it running. I was also given a 1Tb drive as a work drive.
Tonight after returning from a holiday I have put the 1tb into one of the spare bays and booted the machine up, instantly the fans have come on and are blowing like a hovercraft on steroids. I took out the 1tb drive and I have noticed a small bit of black tape sat from the power and data connectors it was stuck to two pins on both sides. Now the mac won't boot at all and the fans are going mad on startup this is all before the usual mac 'boot' sound.
Please can someone advise as to whether this has shorted something or if there is a way to reboot or any advise as I have no idea and absolutely no clue and I am in mad panic mode as I am in desperate need to get this machine up and running so I can sort out my portfolio as well as website etc to get a new job ASAP.
The tape looks like it may have caught from the Bluetooth cables near to bay 2 and have been 'cut off' when when the drive was inserted. The tape looks like the cotton/material finish as oppose to a plastic insulate tape...
I appreciate any help as I can ill afford to replace or repair to be honest. So any feedback is better than non. Many thanks in advance.The chime means the Mac has passed a Power-On-Self-Test; yours doesn't which is not good news.
I'd suggest going here and downloading the correct service manual. Based on "3.0QX tower" I think you have an early 2008 but I could be wrong; do you know which Mac Pro it is? If it is in fact the early 2008, get that manual and look at the diagnostic instructions starting on page 165. -
When I try to download my updates it keeps saying cannot connect to iTunes store please help I'm going mad!
a lot of people have posted about this and i have seen one weird thing fix this. people said they where going into date and time under settings and changing the date to some time in the future and then going to the itunes store and it would give them an error that there date and time was wrong. then all you need to do is go back and set the date and time right and go back to the itunes store and try again.
Im not sure why this did the trick but a bunch of people said that this helped them out..... Weird i know

Ok .... My partner is going mad because he is convinced I have tried to access his iPad 4. He typed in the wrong pass code just once and it has disabled itself for 5 mins leaving him convinced that I have tried to get into it . I haven't. He is really angry and I've done nothing . Now he has turned the wifi off and my kids can't play their xboxes .
Is this a glitch possible on ipad4?

The iPad has been banged screen down on hard surface a couple of times..... Could this attribute to the issue?

Either way you need to dump your partner and get your kids out of that environment. Your partner has anger management issues and needs counseling. -

Yes. I have tried that. When I use the ID I had before, it sets it up as a new account and I don't want to lose my stats attached to my old account.
Let's say that my old nickname was "user10" and I used the email, "[email protected]" for my apple id. I changed my apple id to "[email protected]" and it changed my game center account to "mynew" and somehow I am friends with my old acct, "user10". I tried getting a password reset for "user10" but I apparently don't know my own birthday, which is possible because I usually give a false one, but the same false one each time. -
Where are my movies on my iPad...they are sync'd according to iTunes...I just can't find them!!! Help...I'm going on holiday in a few days and want to watch the movies I paid for and thought I downloaded!!! :-}

triple click the home button. Then you can go into accessability options in settings and turn off that feature

I have had to restore my ipad to factory settings, having made a backup on my pc first. When Ihave tried to restore from my pc I have no apps!! Please can anyone help me get them back with all their data. I don't have wifi at home and I have never been able to sync my pc with my ipad, although it works with my iphone! I copied all of the apps before I restored using itunes, but no idea where they are copied to. Any help would be hugely appreciated to get my daughters games back. Thank you in advance )

I have looked at a few other questions on this topic and I have read that the app data is stored in the backup file but the apps themselves need to be synced back onto the ipad. Someome has mentioned right clicking on sync my ipad but I don't know where to find that to right click on!! Lol.
Again, I really appreciate your time and if by any chance you know where I can 'right click' I would really appreciate you letting me know as I can't get my ipad to sync with my pc at all, although it is being picked up in itunes and it has backed up to itunes okay. GGrrr. Maybe I have something wrong in the settings which is not making them compatible? -
HELP I'm going MAD! - bundled NTI software is killing my internet connection.
Hello All, If someone could help me it would be hugely appreciated. I have a NMH410 which I have attached as a centre hub for 4 computers to attach to. I am using this product as an replacement update to an existing Freecom FSG3 400gb. the FSG is still on the Network. (waiting for file migration to mediahub).The Linksys Media Hub is connected directly to a BT Business router (ewire) hxxp://business.bt.com/broadband-and-internet/internet-access/broadband/more-about-routers.
The network hosts 4 Wireless laptops and 1 Wireless printer which can all see files on the media hub and connect via the BT router. The NTI software is perfect for each laptop being backed up on the hub and provides the perfect amount of resilience for the business (no need for RAID as it is simply backing up work from the individual PC's, so if Media Hub Fails the data is on the laptops and Vice Versa!) As a concept this is fantastic... However, As soon as the NTI software is turned on to backup any of the individual laptops the Internet is un-contactable. I have tried a simple ping test to google.co.uk and activated the software and get no packet or data loss and the connection remains?? Throughout the Media Hub is always available, so therefore I may be posting this on the wrong message board (perhaps a contact with NTI is next) Any help will be hugely appreciated, ThanksAndyThanks for your responses, I'll give it a go.
I thought network conjestion but I could understand if i was doing all laptops together but i'm doing them one at a time...
We have no backup software on the computers as this product was going to provide an automated backup solution (instead of the manual ad-hoc method as now)
