HELP ME!  "Result Code = -47"????

What is "Result Code = -47" in GarageBand 3... when trying to export song to iTunes? I can't export my songs because of this Error Code popping up.
powermac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   GarageBand 3

I've had the same problem, ever since installing iTunes 7.
Can only do 1 Share to iTunes from Garageband; on second time get a -47. Have to Log Out or Restart.
Repairing permission and loggin out, same result, 1 export only.
Deleting all the iTunes and GB plists, same result.

  • Error code  "File not found Result code = -43"  PLEASE HELP!

I keep getting this error message: "File not found Result code = -43" when trying to load instruments from the media tab. Does anyone know why this is happening and know how to fix this problem? I'm in the middle of a project and need help! Thanks.

So, I've narrowed down the problem to happening with the following steps (could someone possibly try this and see if the same problem is happening?)
If I load an instrument track and its blank and select a GARAGEBAND loop from the media list, I get the error message.
If I load a new instrument track and select any other instrument from the media list (besides a Garageband instrument) everything loads fine, AND THEN if I select a Garageband instrument from the list, it loads fine with no error.
If I select "No plug-in" in the channel strip after this, and try to load a Garageband loop, I get the error message and all other instruments from the media lists fail to load until I select "no-plugin" again from the channel strip and select an instrument from the media list BESIDES a Garageband instrument and then go from there (and can then load a Garageband instrument).
Is anything like this happening to anyone else? Does anyone have any ideas why this would be happening?

  • I/O Error: Result Code=-36  HELP!!!

Anyone got any idea what this is about? The problem in a nutshell is as follows...
I'm running Logic 7.2.3 on a G5 (PowerPC version) with a dedicated, built in 250gig HD for audio. Over the last week I've suddenly become aware that everything I thought was being saved to this HD is impossible to access anymore and I get the above error code coming up each time.
However, anything recorded to this HD prior to the last week still opens fine with no issues at all.
Tell me I'm being stupid and have done something ridiculous, please!!! There's a whole lot of work down the drain if that's not the case.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I have never experienced that error, but I Googled "I/O Error: Result Code=-36" and found this...
It really has nothing to do with Logic. It is a Mac OSX error being passed on
by Logic. It has to do with not being able to write to the drive. You can
get this error in Logic if your recording drive is too full, is too
fragmented, or the directory is messed up.
Some things you can do to solve the problem are: Make sure you are recording
to a drive other then the system drive, make sure you have plenty of free
space on the recording drive, repair permissions, defrag the recording
drive, or run a disk utility like Disk Warrior to check and repair directory
    issues.

  • Error Result Code -48?  Help...won't record!

I use G-band for basic VO recording in my home studio into my Powerbook. I run a simple stereo line-in and record to a completely basic stereo track. Nothing fancy. This has worked flawlessly for months.
Just now, in mid-session, I click on the red Record button and I get this message: Error Result Code -48. It doesn't begin to record at all. The message is immediate, and it won't record.
This program is pretty vital to my business. Can anyone help me figure this out?? I have restarted the program, shutdown and restarted the Powerbook. No luck.
    Any help?!

  • Error  -- Result Code -54 HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I've been recording 10-20 minute stories on my macbook for a while now (I'm an elementary school teacher) and today I recorded a 45 min interview. I opened the new track and picked the real audio option and saved it to the desktop. I began to record it and checked in the middle and it was fine. When I finished, though, I tried to turn the recording off and it said "An Error Occurred. Result Code = -54". I don't know what to do! Did it "auto-save"? I'm a new mac user so I don't know much about macs. I'm scared to shut my computer off in case I lose all that information but now its been sitting with the colorful rolling ball for about 10 minutes.

"An Error Occurred. Result Code = -54"
a -54 is a permissions error. this could mean that your account doesn't have permission to read or write to a directory, or perhaps the "permissions" are set wrong. Try repairing Permissions:
    http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/Tutorials.html#repairingpermissions
rolling ball for about 10 minutes.
unfortunately that sounds like, for whatever reason, GB has locked up (permissions repair can often solve this problem as well)
    Did it "auto-save"?
there is no "auto save", however, if the data was written to disc, it may be salvageable. you may as well force quit GB:
    http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/GBFAQ.html#forcequit
because the data is either there or it isn't, waiting will not change that.
after you've quit GB, post back with the file size of the project

  • I/O error result code= -36 ???? Please help!!

Im running studio with apogee duet, just got the apple care (god bless it) superdrive replacement, now I get audio input output functioning realtime, but *** soon as I attempt to record the error pops up. I cant find anyone else with this problem, and apogee unfortunately was clueless. I find it strange that an I/O error is occurring when I pass audio in/out no problem. It blasts the error as soon as I press that quick key R.
I'm running ProTools8 in the meantime on a MBox and it feels so inadequate/fake/unprofessional/. Show me why it was a good thing apple bought out E-Magic fellas!!!
P.S. where do you guy get the definitions of these codes?

Now when I try to launch AE or PremierePro I get this Last log message was: <140735120521568> <GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Result Code: 3.  I have trashed the CUDA program and reinstalled Premiere and AE but no joy.  Same message followed by another error box with options to Retry, Send to Apple or ignore.  I have tried all 3 options but nothing works!  Every time I launch either program same message appears.

  • "Error Result code = -43" AND "Audio file not found"

In Garageband I was trying to  click Join, but kept getting "Error Result code = -43"
    What does this mean?
Also, I thought saving the file and restarting Garageband would help, but upon re-opening the program BIG problem: the file (just this one, others are opening fine) has this error message upon opening "Audio file “07 I See the Light.aif” not found!"

so do I have to basically start over?
for that one recording, it looks like it.
the error -43 is a system level error, so i HIGHLY doubt this will help, however you can ctrl-click the project file, choose Show Package Contents, open the media folder and preview any audio files in there to see if the missing file is there, but in all likelihood, you will need to re-record it

  • Sniffer Result Code: 3 / CUDA-Problems since Mavericks update

Hey Guys, first, thanks a lot for helping / or checking this out.
I have this problem since upgrading to Mavericks from Mountain Lion.
After upgrading I noticed there is a CUDA-Panel in my System prefs - which was new to me, having the classic onboard ATI Radeon of my MacPro.
Starting After Effects since then results in:
Last log message was: <140735271506704> <GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Result Code: 3
Generating crash log, which may take a few minutes.
then OSX tells me AE has stopped working.
    System Specs:
    MacBook Pro
    15 Inch,
    Late 2011,
    AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512MB,
    OSX 10.9.2 (13C64)
So it's the classic on Board graphics card and nothing NVIDIA/PC-fancy.
    What I've done so far:
Installed newest CUDA-Version (even though, the system prefs plane tells me it needs an update, even when downloading the newest from NVIDIA)
Deinstalled and installed the whole CC-Suite, cleaned it, made a new admin-user, deinstalled again, installed on the news user (same problem), installed on the old one.
CUDA-drivers deinstalled from within the terminal (killing all relevant NVIDIA.kext and GeForce.bundle files), rebuild the extensions files with kext-utility.
Used disk-utility in the system and by rebooting with COMMAND+R, checked the volumen and the permissions, nothing Adobe relevant came back.
    I'm kinda very stuck here...
Any help would be very welcome.
    Thanks

The problem is that you installed CUDA software on a computer that has no CUDA-capable hardware. Don't do that.
You must remove the CUDA framework from your computer. See the last part of this article:

  • Error message - Result code= -39

I'm getting an error message everytime I open an existing Logic song in 9.1.1.
It says, "Logical end-of-file reached during read operation, Result code= -39"
it doesn't seem to affect the song, but what the heck is it?

  • Error: Logical end-of-file reached during read operation. Result Code = -39

    Hello all,
Recently, I have been suddenly getting this error message:
"Logical end-of-file reached during read operation. Result Code = -39."
In my case, when it does come up, it always pops up during the recording of an audio take. Almost immediately after hitting the stop button, this error message would pop up. And then when I go to check the take that was just recorded, there is nothing but shrieking noise. As a result, this pop up error trashes any good take I may have had. It's unpredictable as to when this error decides to pop up as well. So now, when I record, I tend to just have my fingers crossed and hope that this error doesn't pop up especially right after recording a good take!
To no avail, I have tried different I/O buffer settings, repaired permissions, rebooted, and even re-formatted my recording hard disk.
Could this be a possible hint that my hard disk is about to physically collapse? I have had it for about 2 years. Could it be some sort of bug in Logic? Or something else perhaps?
Appreciate any feedback! Thanks a lot!

    Thanks for those suggestions Erik...
It's been happening for a month I guess and I don't think that anything new's been installed. I will try recording to the start up disc and to maybe to some USB discs I have.
It seems to happen after working on a project for some time.
After say tracking takes for 45 mins or so. Maybe it's just coincidence, but do you think that might indicate a hardware issue?
Now there might be a clue. What happens when you then quit Logic, reboot your Mac, and reopen the active session? It might be that your disk has become a bit messy from all the traffic, and it just needs to 'settle' in OS X again. Click on the *Spotlight icon* top right of your screen and see if any indexing is taking place. Wait for it to finish before launching Logic.
Alternatively, you could exclude your recording disk from Spotlight indexing alltogether, by dragging the disk to the Privacy field in the Spotlight Sysprefpane.
One other thing to do: turn off Journaling , using *Disk Utility.* Select your recording volume in Disk Utility, hold the alt key while dropping down the File menu. Choose *Disable Journaling.*
On the other hand, it might also point to a RAM issue. Do you ever suffer Kernel panics (=the darkening 'curtain' and the message "You need to restart your Mac... etc")? or 'unexplained' crashes? If not or very rarely, I'ld rule out a RAM issue. If daily, it could be. What you can try in this case is to turn of your Mac and physically take out and reinsert your RAM.
And when you trash (=eject/unmount), physically disconnect and reconnect your recording disk? Does that help? (Logic should not be running when you do this)

The most frequent cause for GPU sniffer codes on machines that run Windows 7 is when Service Pack 1 is not installed. Please check again to make sure that Service Pack 1 and all relevant Windows updates have been installed.

    mainstage 2.1.3 - an error occurred Result code = -39  .
    What does this mean.
How can I find out what error messages mean.
And what can I do to fix it.
My session became very unstable- previously saved versions (lighter ) were stable but still got error message which doesn't fill one with confidence.
    HELP using this live !!!!
using motu traveller, 2x edirol PCR keyboards, behringer FCB1010 and touch OSC app on iphone.

Usually error -39 means a file not found error and it's a system error...
Would be nice to know when does it happens... maybe a exs24 sample not found? Or some component?
go to /Applications/Utility and start up "Console".
then run Mainstage and look at the messages you see in console. Chanches are you'll see a more detailed explanation of the error from mainstage.

  • Mac OS error Result Code = 1852402768

I have been using Handbrake to covert video files into apple TV format for a number of years & then every now & again burning the file to DVD which has worked fine.
I don't know if this is just a coincidence but I downloaded a Handbrake update last night & then tried burning the newly converted files and using Toast Titanium but i received the following error "Mac OS error' Result Code = 1852402768"
I've searched the forums and many suggest that the files could be too large for the DVD but there is a display on Toast that shows the size of the files & I can usually get 3 half hour episodes on no problem with free space remaining but to test this theory I dropped in just one file of less than a GB and the same error came up.
I did however try burning some older files pre the handbrake update & they have worked fine.
I don't know if I have to change any setting but currently I'm stuck, Any help out there??
    Many thanks
