Help Me soon please deadline for school

So I found out my mac book even with its price tag cant burn dvds but my girlfriends 300$ toshiba does just fine aint that nice. well any way because idvd is so cool can i just edit and make my movies and then save them to a removable 2gig flash drive then plug into the family pc or my girlfriends notebook for that matter and burn the dvd there? or will their computers have to be sporting idvd 6 software also.
I barely could offord this mac book am i completely stuck until i go out and buy and install a dvd burner just for the very few but important times i will need it?

Welcome to the forums.
Check and see what sort of PC burning software you have access to, and if it can burn an image file (.img). If so, you can use iDVD to create a virtual DVD (by saving it as an image file) and then transfer this file to the PC by USB (if the duration of the DVD is fairly short), external hard drive, Ethernet, etc.

I think I have mountain lion OS X....I have done I think almost every suggestion I've seen in discussion boards.
Boot in recovery repaired disk...ok...repair disk permission...all repaired but one warning...I've tried to reinstall lion (without losing data) and it Got all the way to one minute to be done and then the time change back two hours and kept doing this all night long. I haven't done a back up due to no external for time machine.
I hope someone can please help me I've been going crazy for a week now trying to figure this out. I use my computer for school and I'm currently very behind from in my school work thank you
Also I've checked my available space 424.91 free of 750 gigs....disk is verified

Try holding the Shift key while your Mac is starting to start into safe mode. Then, after starting in safe mode, open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type /Library/StartupItems. Then, empty this folder and restart the Mac.
If your Mac starts after doing this, it was a problem with a third-party app that starts automatically when you turn on the computer. It won't start automatically anymore after doing that

I have the same problem with the store. I click the link, and it looks like the store is loading. However, all I get is a white screen.
Also, my new Iphone 4s will only get to "step 2 of 5, backing up iphone." I left the phone connected to the computer all night, and when I woke up, it was still at the same spot, with no progress made.
I've uninstalled, everything from apple, rebooted the computer, and then re-installed the latest itunes. Still nothing.

I use my Mac for School and stuff happened.
Long story short.
1) I tried to reset my Mac Book Pro computer and I did.( by pressing option key and go to disk utility and erase tab and erase)
2) then I know I was supposed to go to Reinstall OS X Lion and I did but I quit. (took 10 hrs and plus my internet is bad and couldn't DL the other stuff)
3) I remembered that I had a recovery disk. so I inserted it and I went to the disk utility, dragged the Macintosh HD to the restore tab, destination, and it copied my recovery disk data? to my Machintosh HD and the name of it changed to Mac OS X Base System ( the name of my recovery disk)
4) and I tried to restart, shut down my computer, it sends me to the same Mac OS Utilities. Again.
5) so I went to Reinstall Mac OS Lion, agreed, and the download destination usually should be the Macintosh HD ( for me its Mac OS X Base System right now) but it said it is locked (because I'm dumb) and i can't install it now.
6) i don't know what to do now because this is not my computer that I'm sending this support from. and I can't use my original Mac Book. what should I do?
AND I NEED TO USE THE MAC NEXT WEEK FOR SCHOOL.

For those who wonder why I wanted to reset/restore my MacBook Pro or, want to hear the long story:
I play League of Legends, Steam, Osu! on my Mac and it took alot of capacity (or space).
And League of Legends has thisthing called "Item sets" that when you save it, it doesnt save it in the client (or app), it saves the "item sets" data in your computer (took alot of capacity/space)
Not just that, and I had iPhoto but when i downloaded iLife to my mac, and after that, it said my iPhoto is damaged and it can't open.
And summer ended, my parents said If I fail my 11th grade, they are going to kick me out so I told them I'm going to reset my Mac to factory settings and get a fresh start, well this happened.

hi there! I got it back to work by buying the USB version of Mac OS X Lion 10.7
and since my internet connections are kinda bad, I'm not able to download and update it to 10.7.5.
but anyways I got it back to work.
All I can say is I suggest you to buy the USB version of Mac OS X Lion 10.7 from amazon or apple store.

when i start the computer the concurrent manager service not started , when i try to start it i have this problem:
"could not start the oracle concmgrvis_orabac service on local computer error:1065 the database specified does not exist."
i restarted computer and tried to stop and start all services more times but no change.
i hope if you can help meplease soon.

Follow these steps to recreate the concurrent manager service on Windows NT:
1. cd $APPL_TOP
2. dos> envshell.cmd (this opens up a new DOS window. Go to that window and
do the following).
3. cd $COMMON_TOP/admin/install
4. dos> adsvcm.cmd -deinstall (deinstalls the ccm service)
should exit with status '0'
5. dos> adsvcm.cmd
should exit with status '0'
Should see "Successfully installed concurrent manager"
6. Reboot

im in a nine week class that ends tommorw and need help go\etting my program working properly these are the requirements ofr the assignments:
Modify the Inventory Program by adding a button to the GUI that allows the user to move
to the first item, the previous item, the next item, and the last item in the inventory. If the
first item is displayed and the user clicks on the Previous button, the last item should
display. If the last item is displayed and the user clicks on the Next button, the first item

Modify the Inventory Program to include an Add button, a Delete button, and a Modifybutton on the GUI. These buttons should allow the user to perform the corresponding actions on the item name, the number of units in stock, and the price of each unit. An item added to the inventory should have an item number one more than the previous last item. Add a Save button to the GUI that saves the inventory to a C:\data\inventory.dat file. I am getting data in such a format:

04\s\s etc
and from another source:
01\s\s343.4\s\s43.3\s\s\s545.6\r\n
01\s\s etc
01\s\s etc
I am receiving the data from the second source (both are Polhemus Fastrak data collectors) four times faster than the first source, since it has four inputs.
I would thus like to record only one data array every four- how would I do this?
In the end, I would like to make an array looking like this:
01\s\s etc02\s\s etc03\s\s etc04\s\s etc01\s\setc\r\n (the last one is from the second source)
01\s\s etc02\s\s etc03\s\s etc04\s\s etc01\s\setc\r\n
01\s\s etc02\s\s etc03\s\s etc04\s\s etc01\s\se
tc\r\n
01\s\s etc02\s\s etc03\s\s etc04\s\s etc01\s\setc\r\n
and so on- therefor this would be time synchronized, so that all data coming in at cetrain point is in same row of array.
I would really, REALLY appreciate your help- I have a deadline for 12:00 am!!!

There are a few different string functions you could put to use to help parse out only 1 of the 4 data records from the faster device. Offhand, I'd think that 'Scan String for Tokens' (found in the String-->Additional String Functions palette) might be pretty straightforward if you use "\r" and "\n" as delimiters.
How important is the time synchronization? Have you worked out a plan, if necessary, to determine which of the 4 transmissions from the second device most closely matches the same "capture time" as the 1 transmission from the first device?
Alternately, is it possible to slow down the transmission rate of the second device to match that of the first? Or could you live with running in the query mode, where data is only transmitted on
request?

Can you please help me down grade my system from 4.0 to 3.5 for school- 4.0 is not support by my schools online system, if I had known this I would not have upgraded.

Since, I have moved from 3.5 to 4.0 this version is not supported by my schools online systems- so anytime there is an issue, they're unable to help? Is there anyway for me to downgrade back to 3.5. I'm already experiencing difficulties, even entering the system!!

Plz i need help in this matter...i read all the related topics about it in this board but i still dont get it and still not working..
I copied some movies (dvds) to my pc (on the hard disk)and i tried to play them from the pc using windvd software..i connect my soundcard from the spdif out to the coaxial input(digital in) in my onkyo receiver but still the sound not working.
I selected the 'SPDIF' as the audio output method in my windvd software and i selected the 'SPDIF Pass-through' in my audigy 5.soundcard .
Please could i know what to do so the spdif output work..i tried all the ways but couldn't know whats the problem..please waiting for the reply..
