Help! Moved PCD content, now users with Personalized pages empty

Hi
Please help. I've moved some iViews and pages to different folders but now my users with personalized pages just shows up blank! If I go to personalize on their page the iViews is gone under Personalized page...
I've moved the content back but its still missing...
EP6 SP18 P2. Its working for users with no personalization.
Any ideas?

Thanks, I had a look at the thread but I didnt create a delta link but moved it
I've used the cut -> paste option to move the content. I've used the PCD inspector before but they only display the IDs in there and I needed to re-organise the PCD. The logical names helped me to classify it.
If I assign the role to a new user, it works perfectly. Its only users that personalised their page thats getting the error.
I think it some how if the user personalised their page, it doesnt use the default iView location linked to that page\role but somehow a cached version of the location.
Any ideas?

I need help using multiple content types in a wiki page library

I currently trying to used multiple custom content types based off of the wiki page content type in one wiki page library.
EDIT: "Allow management of content types" has been enabled with the designer
The way i would like this library to work is:
Click the "Files" tab in the ribbon
Click the "New Document" drop down menu
Select one of the content types (Client, Contact, Project)
SharePoint Will Ask for the Page Name and content type fields
Click create
Then it will take you to the new created page.
This issue I'm currently having is when i click on one of the options (Client, Contact, Project) it will ask for a page name then you have to check it in to get to the edit form. The edit form it then loads is the default content type and not the selected
content type.
So my questions are.
Is there any way i can combine the page name and edit steps together into one step?
How can I get the edit form to pull from the selected content type?

Wiki library isn't really designed for customizations... it's a "special" library that overrides a lot of default behavior... similar evidence can be found if you're trying to add metadata columns to wiki pages... they're just not really designed to handle

How I can enable Java ssv helper plugin silently for win7 users with IE9

here is what happens:
when I deploy java 7.21 on win7 users, after deployment when users try to Open their IE they get a login screen and apparently it is related to Java ssv helper plugin. it is trying to enable it and needs admin account/password. I am trying to deploy this to about 3000 computers and I dont want all of them start calling helpdesk for this.

Help moving iPod contents to new computer

I just got a MacBook and would like to transfer all the songs on my iPod that I previously used with my iBook G4. I went to this Web page (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300173), and I believe I followed all the instructions correctly, but none of my music transfered. What's going on? On the steps when I had to move folders with my entire library it said "this could take awhile if you have a lot of songs," but it always took less than a second--like nothing was being moved. Please help.

OK, I am using Senuti. The files are transferring.
But the ratings and play counts aren't showing up in iTunes, though they are in Senuti! What gives?!!
AND I the files aren't showing up in my library unless I manually click each file from finder. Why?!
Should I select a library when this is over by holding down option and opening iTunes? If so, what do I select as my library? The text file named "iTunes Library," or the folder "iTunes Music," which has all my music files?

Recently we came to USA and got Lenovo 3000 31Q desktop with us safely but when we tried to connect system , the monitor (Flat screen Lenovo) shows "No Input" means it is not communicating with the CPU,all the connections including monitor to cpu are ok but not able to c any output ,no power issues,can anybody help us in this matter, thanks

There might be a couple of things at play.
• The symptoms you describe usually indicate the PMU needs to be reset -
Article #95037 - G4 (AGP) - Resetting PMU
Note - although that article is written around a G4 (AGP) model, the same procedure applies to all G4's except the (PCI) models; the particular location of the PMU button may vary from model to model, but is usually near the internnal battery.
• You may also need to replace the internal battery. That battery is used whenever the machine is unplugged from a live source of power - the Mac draws a bit of current even when shut down in order to maintain PRAM settings and the clock chip; that chore is taken over by the battery when there is no live power available. Since your machine was unplugged for a while when it was in transit, the battery may have been drained - especially if it has never been replaced.
You can get a replacement battery at places like Radio Shack for about US$15, cheaper on line.

AD User with personal OSX Network share?

Our students authenticate to a campuswide AD server and use it for home directories. our OSX server is bound to the AD. can we set this up to where whenever a student logs in, they also mount a network drive (from our server) specific to their userid that only they see?

I was in the middle of updating my iphone 4 (? version 10.1) when an error message appeared. Screen now frozen with apple logo, empty bar below and phone won't turn on or off

I have a frozen screen (black with the apple logo & an empty bar below) following an error message that appeared during an update of version 10.1 on my iphone 4.
I am not able to turn off the phone (or on!) Any ideas?

The iPod Touch kept trying to reboot yesterday but would only show the Apple logo screen then shut off - it finally drained the battery overnight I am guessing. Connected to USB the battery charging icon flashes.
Took it back to Best Buy, but they wouldn't touch it or replace it since it's under warranty.
To any potential buyers - beware. My best advice is to look somewhere besides Apple. Every Mac user I know has had to return a Mac, laptop, etc. Really poor quality control, and the retailers agree (Geek Squad told me they have had the same experience with Apple products).

I accidentally moved the "contents" of the Preview app outside of it and now it's "incomplete"-what do I do?!

I thought that maybe I didn't need the app, Preview, and so I moved the "contents" to the trash. Then I realized I couldn't delete the app anyways, so I moved the "contents" back to the applications page, but now I can't move them back into the app, Preview. How do I fix this?!

At startup hold down the Command + Option/Alt + r keys and hold them down until you see a globe on the screen.
You will need to login to your WiFi signal so have the password for that handy.
Once that fully starts the computer you will have a screen like this.
Select the second option, "Reinstall Mac OS X" and click the Continue button. It will ask you were to install to, select Macintosh HD and click continue or OK. OS X will be downloaded from the internet and when that finishes the installl will start.
Don't worry all your files won't be touched. You are doing a reinstall over the top of the current install and that will just replaced system files.
Once that is all done and the system restarts use Software Update to bring everything back up to date.

Oracle Content Server Security with Web Center Suite

I've configured Oracle Content Server (UCM) to integrate with WebCenter Spaces (WCS). The document service works on a user's personal page but fails on group spaces and when I troll the logs I find the following error:

I am using a socket connection, not web or SSL.
UCM is on an external server and not on the same machine as WCS.
UCM is 11g and WCS 11g patchset 2. Yes I know UCM 11g is not "officially" supported to integrate with WCS until patchset 3, but others have gotten it to work, so I'd like to do the same.
On UCM machine OHS (from web tier utilities) is installed and comfigured.
httpd.conf edited as per requirement.
config.cfg and intradoc.cfg edited as per requirement.
Admin user on UCM has admin and sysmanager rights.
I think this may be because the UCM uses the internal default LDAP first (i.e. it is first on the list of providers) because it does not have an admin user in the external LDAP. So even though in the service connection I specify the UCM admin i think it must also be able to find this user in the external LDAP on the WCS side.
I am currently having trouble figuring out how to give an external LDAP user the same permissions on UCM as that which the default internal LDAP admin user has, so that I can use that external LDAP user in the services connection setup instead.
With WCS under the Fusionware EM is simply added an external LDAP user to the domain for the webcenter section, but for UCM I'm not sure where the appropriate place is to add such a user.
I am also not 100% sure if this is actually the issue.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Thanks for response.
1. I have created default webcenter project application.
2. Created content repository connection using File System..
3. Created new page using default Template.
4. Drag drop Document List Viewer TaskFlow and setup the content server connection.
5. After running the application , i can see list of documents link in page..
6. But When I click on any link ..browser automaically close..
7.On server console I am getting above mentioned error..
I am using jdev 11.1.1.5 and running on internal weblogic server...

Initial Load - AS ABAP - getting only user with a group

First of all - you'll need to familiarize yourself with the database for effective learning and debugging. I'm talking about the MS-SQL or Oracle-DB where you installed the IC-schema. It often helps me to understand whats going on behind the scenes.
Secondly - I read some of your posts - I would advise you to install the dispatcher and everything on the server where the DB is hosted - at least as long as you're in development. The MMC can still be on your local pc/laptop, although some things won't work well there (Import, Dispatcher-Status, ...). This'll ease things a lot I suppose.
About the service-user... SAP delivers a role you can import into PFCG (SAP_BC_SEC_IDM_.SAP-File in misc-folder of installation media). This role should be sufficient for your communication user, is updated every now and then and contains only the necessary permissions. Maybe you'll have to extend it (Z_SAP_) in case you want to read special tables not supported by the SAP framework (e.g. license data).
I can hardly believe that the current role assigned to your user only has permissions to users with groups != empty
By now I have no clue why you only see users in IdM with groups assigned in SU01... look up the SQL-table I mentioned if there are more users.

Creting a personal page

i'm using the portal v2
When i read the online help to create one already existing user's personal page, it says to go to the user edit page, then to click on the "Preferences" tab then to ... but there's no "Preferences" on the user edit page. I only have 1 full page with sections ( Personal Details,Organizational,Details,Photograph,Additional Personal Details,Telephone Numbers,Office Address,Home Address,Public Groups Assignment,Privilege Assignment,Resource Access Information).

Experts, please correct me if I'm wrong, but here's what I learned so far as to how to do this:
Go to the page where the sales notes will be displayed (perhaps notes.php).
Create a new Recordset for that page. Name the Recordset and choose the Connection and Table you are pulling the records from.
Under Filter, choose "id". Make sure the "=" is chosen in the next pull down menu. Choose "Session Variable" in the next menu. Finally, put "kt_login_id" into the text box. This will set a session variable based on the id of the user who is logging in to the notes page.
Subsequently, any page you want users to access from this page should have the same Recordset filter and "Restrict Access to Page" server behavior implemented. The session you started when the user logged in to the notes page will be used to identify that particular user until he/she logs out.

Help-moved Domain.sites2 file, lost content wife's site

Hi,
This is about my wife's MAC so it is even more serious because it's my fault. I'm her IT guy but I don't know her iWeb projects very well. I helped her get started and once her site launched a year ago, all has been great and I stopped studying/learning iWeb. Now I'm in trouble.
So asked for help creating/publish multiple websites from iWeb09. (personal and work) Don't know if she'll publish as sub/site on her mobileMe or host the second site elsewhere. I read the forums this morning about iWeb's use of the Domain.site file. I read that if you move the file from it's default location (lib/app support/iweb) to another level in the Finder, then iWeb will open to a new site template and no longer default to her personal site. Okay, got it. Did it. Created a folder called "iWeb Sites" in the Library/Sites folder. Created folders for her sep sites, work / personal.
Then I moved Domain.sites2 to the new "personal" folder. Launched iWeb from there to check her site. All good - still there. Quit iWeb
Re-launched iWeb from dock, saw it create a new Domain.sites2 file in lib/app support/iWeb. I chose "New Site" in the menu. After it appeared, I deleted her Site icon (and the files under it went away). Okay, good, now this Domain.sites2 file is ready to be her new work website. Quit, and movd this Domain file from it's default (lib/app supp/iWeb to the new "work" folder.
Now the problem...(if you don't already see it coming). I went back to open her personal site to make sure it would open directly from the new "personal" folder - it's new home. It opened with NONE of her site info. Totally new site - all her content gone.
First thing I did was quit. Opened my ftp (cyberduck) went to her mobileme account and downloaded the entire "SITES" folder.
Now what? Where did I go wrong and how do I fix it?

The first time you open iWeb it creates a Domain.sites2 file in :
~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/
where ~ is your Home directory.
Anything you do in iWeb is stored in that file.
When you move the file to another location, for reasons only you know, iWeb cannot find it and offers you to find the Domain file or create a new one.
You can also double click the file you moved to open it in iWeb.
iWeb will remember it the next time you open iWeb.
If you start moving files around and creating folders for whatever reason and lost track, then retrace your steps to the point where it went wrong. If in the process you created multiple copies, then open them one by one and see what's inside.
You can have multiple domain files, I have 57, for any reason you desire. They are not linked and are fully independent of each other. It's up to you how you organize these different files and remember what they are for.
If you publish the Sites in each domain file to MobileMe, then the last one published will be the default Sites. If Sites in different domain files have the same name then it is surprise, surprise which page will be deleted, updated or added on the server.
Downloading the Sites (the HomePage folder) or the Web/Sites folder (where iWeb publishes the pages) from iDisk is useless in this respect, since it does not contain anything usefull. You cannot import webpages back into iWeb.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported. If you are using Safari this try clearing its cache via Settings > Safari.
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
