Help. Music not sync properly!

For some reason when i plug my iphone 4s to the computer and it syncs my music the recently added does not come up or the other titles? any reason?

It will only sync what you have told it to sync.
Have you told iTunes to sync those playlists?

    Hi TQ9-er,
Have you tried these five iPod troubleshooting steps? See if they help with your issue:
    The Five Rs
Also, if this seems to keep happening when oyu sync your iPod with iTunes, and no new content get loaded onto it, let's try assigning your iPod a different drive letter, since that kind of problem may be a symptom of drive letter confusion.
For instructions, see this Knowledge Base article:
Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive
Also, are you able to sucessfully transfer content to your iPod if you're manually managing it (not auto syncing) in iTunes?

  • Music not syncing properly

I deleted over 100 songs from my ITunes library on my laptop and then synced my phone to remove the songs from there but they won't delete. I've tried syncing it multiple times and they are not deleting from my phone.

Thank you for your comment but that doesn't help me. I find it easier to just delete then because I won't be listening to them anymore so I don't need them there to clutter up my iTunes on my laptop.

  • Music does not sync properly when updated to latest version.  Can see computer but can't play from ipod

Music does not sync properly when updated to latest version.  Can see on computer but can't play from ipod.

    Hope this helps...
I was having the same problem where only 1.7GB of 10GB of selected music would sync so I decided to start fresh.  The following steps worked for me:
    1.  Open itunes and connect iphone 5 if not already.  Uncheck all playlists, artists, etc. till nothing is checked to sync.  Then uncheck the sync music box so that all music will be removed from the phone.  Sync iphone
    2.  Eject device. Quit itunes (don't just close). unplug iphone.
    3.  Restart imac, macbook, or PC.
    4.  Restart iphone.
    5.  Now after power up, restart itunes then plug in iphone, check sync music and select music to sync.  Sync iphone
    6.  It worked for me!!!  Good luck.

  • ICal not syncing properly w/ iPod Touch

I believe this is an iCal problem, not an iPod issue:
My new iPod Touch is not syncing properly with my iCal calendars. I notice after syncing "All Calendars" that some of my appointments in iCal were showing up, but most were not. And some events on my iPod were not on my laptop. I tried the "Replace Information" option under Info in iTunes, but it didn't help. Then I noticed something even weirder -- the list of Calendars that appears in the "Selected Calendars" list in iTunes is NOT my current set of calendars. The iTunes list includes some calendars that I have deleted or renamed, and is missing some new ones. So I guess I'm not surprised by the events being out of sync, but how can this be? How can iTunes be picking up an obsolete set of calendars and events?
I tried a backup within iCal, then deleted every calendar one-by-one, leaving just a new calender named "empty". I quit iCal and iTunes, and also deleted four files in my Prefs folder and the iCal folder in Application support. Then I did restored from my iCal backup, and quit and restarted both iCal and iTunes. After all that, iTunes still shows the old list of calendars.
I'll also mention that iCal itself has been very squirrelly for quite a long time. Every so often it will just "run away", chewing up CPU and memory until I force-quit. Haven't solved that one, yet, either.
    Any suggestions?

PROBLEM SOLVED: I backed up my iCal data (from within iCal); quit; deleted all prefs, iCal cache files, and the whole Calendars folder in my Library; then relaunched iCal and Restored from my backup file. iTunes then showed the correct list of calendars when I connected my iPod touch, and I got a proper sync. Who knows, maybe this will also fix the frequent runaway crashes I've been having.

  • My itunes match will not sync properly

    Mac User same thing
Hello there here is my problem. My itunes match will not sync properly. It shows a lot of songs over 100 with the icloud match status as "Waiting"
Here is what i have done
    1. Reinstall the entire OS delete everything and start from scratch
    2. Turn on and off itunes match.
    3. Hold down the option key
    4. Move my music out of the music folder clear everything out of my itunes and bing back my music.
    5. Use backup copies of my music in case the music files had been corrupted.
    6. Checked numerious mac community forms that report simular issues.
    7. Tried another macbook pro that I have
    8. My wifes account which has about 8000 songs did no have the issue. My account seems to have the issue sobeservices2. I beleive this to be account specific. My account has 11481 songs and about 100 to 100 show with the status of "waiting"
    9. I get no error messages
    10. I've tried multiple ISP - COMCAST - FIOS - I even tried multiple computers
    11. Redid the entire os
    12. My account has problems "*****s2" but my wife account does not
    13. Replicated the issue on more then one computer it seems only has problems with my itunes account. Suck waiting to upload
and its not always the same songs sometimes it's different songs that it gets suck waiting to upload.
    14. Removed the waiting songs and attempted again
    15. Started with fresh iTunes had the server match a blank itunes folder  to the point where it said "0 Songs Match" then re-added them
    16. Called Apple Care and spoke with a Senior Advisor who told me he would have to escalate a ticket and he to thought I had done all the tsing possible and that it was up to the engineers to figure out a solution.
I have been working on this for about 4 weeks now. All my trouble shooting has pointed it to be an account specific issue.
    Any advise from the community

    Hi
I have had a similar set of issues.  8000 songs, 800 in waiting.  All ripped from CD into Apple Lossless - mainly classical so most didn't match directly.
First I ripped all these 8000 songs for my father first on his laptop from his CD collection.  Eventually got them all matched or uploaded to his Match account (except one) by the usual tricks people suggest (e.g. recoding as AIFF or MP3 etc, deleting, re-adding blah blah). Though of course I shouldn't really have to waste my time doing this.  One song absolutely refused to upload. Tried everything - including buying a pristine downloadable version off the publisher's website.  Still resolutely refuses to upload.
Anyway - main problem is now with my PC. I copied all these 8000 tracks over. Re-installed everything etc.  800 remain in "waiting" (even though they uploaded Ok on a different account).  When I rip my own CDs even some common stuff (e.g. Bowie/Stones) gets uploaded instead or matched and often with one or two tracks stuck in 'waiting'.
If I then look at my IPad (with Match enabled), it will show these waiting tracks as if they were already downloaded to it (which of course they are not). If I try and play one of them it just skips over it.

  • The reminders app in my iPhone and the reminders in Mac are not syncing properly

I use the Reminders app and Notes app extensively to keep track in both my Mac and iPhone. However the reminders app in my phone does not immediately sync when i made changes in my Mac and later when i make a change in my iphone Reminders, it over writes the reminders in Mac. Please help so that my work syncs smoothly from Mac to iPhone and vice versa without any loss of information, just as Apple advertises and takes pride in being able to do so.

There are a couple threads out there with this issue.  I had the same problem. Try this link for the answer...
Re: Reminders not syncing properly with iCloud and iOS 8
At the bottom - one person has the answer...On your iPhone remove your iCloud account.  Then add it back.  It's not as painful as it sounds it only took me less than 5min to add everything back

  • Photos do not sync properly

I am having some curious trouble with photos syncing properly from an iPhoto album to my iPhone 3GS.
I have an album with 6 photos.  I edited all six photos in iPhoto using "Edit in External Editor".  After editing and saving, the photos show in the iPhoto event the way I want them, as well as in the album in question.
However, when I sync the phone in iTunes, the photos in the album show up as before they were edited.  They do not sync properly.  They look fine in iPhoto, but not on the phone.
I have tried the following things to make this work.
I have deleted all the photos in the album, unchecked the album in iTunes under Photos, and synched.  Then I added the edited photos to the album again, checked the album in iTunes under Photos and synched again.  This did not work.  The photos still show up as before the edit.
I unchecked the album again in iPhoto, synched the phone and then did a reset of the phone by pressing the sleep/wake button and the Home button at the same time and waiting until the Apple logo appeared again.  I then checked the album in iTunes again, and synched.  This also did not work.
Lastly, I deleted the album entirely in iPhoto, and recreated the album from again by choosing the edited photos in question inside the event, and then hitting the "+" button in the lower left of the iTunes window.  This also did not work.
The weird thing is, that I have also edited at least one other photo in a differnt album, which then synched properly.
I hope somebody has an idea as to how to fix this.

look, in all these 2000 things you tryed there is one thing i don't thing you did actually try, which is to rename the photos in the album.
    This did not work either.
sometimes it may hapen that you cannot sync properly if you have strange names or sometimes the itunes doe not see the files properly.
Strange names?  What do you consdider to be strange names?  "Sometimes iTunes does not see the files properly"?  Where do you get that idea?
try renaming 'em and see if it works. you can also rename the folder with the photos.
Renaming the photos does not work.  Renaming the event (that is what you mean I think) does not work either.
also, another thing; try to select your photos in iphoto and take them off with the mouse and put them in a folder in some other location in teh computer (like for example the desktop) and sync them from taht location in itunes, it may help.cheers!
This is complete nonsense.  Photos have to be in an album in iPhoto in order to be synched with the iPhone via iTunes.  Putting photos anywhere else on the computer does not allow them to be synched with the phone.  They must be in iPhoto.

  • Not Syncing Properly with Gmail

    Hello fellow Mac owners/fans,
I am new to Snow Leopard. Just upgraded from Tiger today. Such a nice improvement! Anyways, as such, I was setting everything up when I ran into a problem with Mail
Mail is not syncing properly with Gmail. My Gmail account has roughly 5800 total messages and 1900 unread messages (I need to clean it up quite a bit, I know ). Mail shows it as having 8500 total messages and 2200 unread messages. Mail is quite wrong. I don't know if I accidentally fetched some of the Gmail files twice, or what, but I would like for Mail to be correctly synced with Gmail.
Any ideas on what to do? Is there a quick fix or am I going to have to reset Mail?
I very much appreciate any help! Thanks for your time!
    -Kyle

    Hello,
You may have the dreaded double download disease. I was just fighting the bug this morning, and may have a cure that I am hoping some other guinea pig will test.
You may want to check and see if you see duplicate emails in Mail. If you want to know more about the issue you can search duplicate emails.
Anyway the secret medicine if it is a duplicate issue may be below. (It seems to be working for my issue, but am trying to get some other confirmation)
I came across an old hint (from 2001 at Mac OS X hints)
    It states:
Avoid receiving duplicate emails in Mail.app
Sun, Dec 23 2001 at 9:54AM PST • Contributed by: NikWest
There is a hidden default for Mail, which I do not think has been mentioned here. You can avoid receiving duplicate Messages (e.g. from mailing lists) by opening a Terminal and typing:
    defaults write com.apple.mail UniqueMessagesBeforeRouting 1
Before receiving the whole message, the message ID (a mail header) will be checked. If there's already a mail with this message ID, it will be discarded.
To disable the feature, repeat the command with a '0' at the end instead of a '1'.
This seems to work for now, any one else willing to try?
    Good luck

  • ICloud Not Syncing Properly on One Device

So I have an iPad, iPhone, iMac, and Macbook Pro.
I use iCloud syncing for one program, Notability and for whatever reason, things do not get synced to the Macbook Pro. In order to retrieve all the documents in the cloud, I have to uncheck 'iCloud Drive' in System Preferences and then recheck it. (Also of note is that the reading list in Safari does not sync properly, but contacts does). This only happens with the Macbook Pro. I have tried signing in and out of iCloud but it occurs again. I am using the same e-mail address with all devices. Anybody have any clue what could be the issue?

It's important to realise that there is only one copy of your Contacts and Calendars, it lives at iCloud.com and your devices (all of them) get the same thing. If your calendars are gone from iCloud.com you're going to need a backup copy.
? Do the calendars exist on any device? Do you backup your Mac?
On each device verify the iCloud calendar and contacts are set as the default (if you do not have any accounts other than iCloud this does not apply)
iTunes likewise has one Library, the iTunes library, quite separate from any iCloud connection. Again, you should keep a backup of it. You can download all tunes purchased from iTunes whenever you want, if you use iTunes Match you can download all the music in your iTunes library regardless of how it got there.
In iTunes, ensure that 'Show Music in the Cloud' is checked. (View Menu)

  • HT1386 Approximately 15 songs and one iBook I recently purchased did not sync properly, I tried doing it three times, only 20 seconds of each song would play, and the book is blank! Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Approximately 15 songs and one book I recently  purchased did not sync properly. Once I hooked
It up to my iTunes, they will only play 10 seconds from her song, and the book is blank. Any suggestions?

OK. I managed to fix this. That's what I did:
    1. In Finder, make copy the audio files that won't synchronize.
    2. Rename the files e.g. appending a "2" at the end of the name.
    3. Import the files in iTunes (drag and drop from Finder into iTunes' Library)
    4. Rename the album in iTunes (e.g. also append a "2" at the end of the album's name)
    5. Put the new files in a Playlist and synchronize
After that I removed the original files and changed the names back so that the copy is like the original was before.
I suppose the important thing is to make iTunes "think" that those are new files. Note that I did remove the files from iTunes and add them back without renaming or copying and it did not work. I supposse that the copying and/or renaming is important.
    Hope this helps.

    Will

  • I updated to new ios and now it is not syncing properly.  How can i revert back to the previous installed version?

I updated to new ios and now it is not syncing properly.  New songs are not showing up on the ipod display but when I view the device on my computer, they are in the playlist but there is a dashed circle beside the missing songs.  It previously synced perfectly before the IOS update.  How can i revert back to the previous installed version?

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.

  • Sync between MacBookPro and iPhone 3G does not sync properly.  Calendars duplicate events but worse is that only contacts from Address book from letter T onwards sync.  Any contacts on iPhone which are not on Mac are lost during sync.

    Solutions?

No, I never really found an easy solution.  I believe it is an issue with some corruption in the iTunes database on the specific device.  In my case, both my iPad and iPhone now show duplicate stream songs if viewed through iTunes on my Mac, but they show different songs.  A couple years ago I had a similar issue on my iPhone, and Apple support suggested I back up the phone, completely reset it, and then restore it from the backup.  It did work, so I imagine it would probably work for my current issues with the iPhone and iPad.  But resetting and restoring an iPad or iPhone always makes me a little nervous that something will get lost.  When I did reset/restore the iPhone, I do have to say, the restore process was 100% perfect and I did not lose any data at all even though Apple support said I might.  If you try to go that route, I would suggest backing the device up both to a computer through iTunes, and to the iCloud so that you have a double backup.
None of this really resolves the issue with how the iTunes databases are becoming corrupted on the apple devices though, so it is very likely to happen again until they fix it.  I have been unable to determine if there were any specific actions or conditions which caused the corruption to happen in the first place.
Might be worth another call to Apple support, or dropping in the local Apple store if you have one near by.
