Help! Music randomly automatically stops playing

Up until last night everything was fine. But now whenever I play music using the loudspeakers it will randomly stop playing after a few seconds and I have to re-press the play again. It will play for a further 2 seconds (or a bit longer) before the iPad automatically stops playing again. The screen can be on or off, but it will randomly stop playing.
If I use headphones, it'll be fine. But if I use the loudspeakers (which I do 99% of the time) the music stops AND if I use the headphones then remove the headphone jack the iPad still thinks I'm using the headphones even when they're not plugged in. It's annoying because when I want to change the loudspeaker volume it'll change the headphone volume.
It will play the music as if I'm using headphones but obviously no sound comes out. Im streaming music/watching videos online (i loathe using itunes), and havent had this issue at all previously. I haven't dropped it, its got a tpu case on it now. Any advice? :(

Try press the home button and lock until you see the apple logo. I hope this works ;-)

I have a similar problem with at least two songs that I know of, one is an iTunes download (encrypted) the other was imported from a CD using iTunes (no encryption). Both songs play 2-3 seconds then immediately go to the next song. The "weird" thing -- I plugged my iPod into my new MacBook which has no songs other than what are on my iPod (i.e., not playing the song from another source) and both songs play fine. Unplug the iPod from the computer, plug in headphones and the songs skip again.
I've gone through the 5 R's as well, with no luck.

Music does not stop playing when I disconnect from USB in car

When iphone is connected to car stereo, music does not stop playing when I disconnect the usb cable. If someone is calling me and I unplug from USB, all I hear in my ear is music...I cannot hear the person calling me. Not sure what's happened but it never used to do this. Any suggestions?

Nseries phones have behaved this way since forever.
I don't know any way to change this. Same behavior happens if you unplug your headset or headphones.

My iPod touch just stops playing songs automatically.
When doing a google search it sometimes times goes back to the home screen.
Also it sometimes takes several goes before it will accept the charger!

- The charging issue could be due to a poor connection or a problem with the iPod. Try another cable first
- Try the following, it is mainly for the not playing and other problems:
Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod

Don´t want to play music videos automatically when playing a Single

I´m using iTunes 11.
Its very annoying that iTunes plays music videos automatically when I´m listening to a single I bought on iTunes Store which includes a music video. I don´t have a problem with it when the video appears in my music library, but I don´t want to watch it when I only want to hear music and iTunes is minimized.
I could create a playlist, but I don´t want to because for two tracks it´s worthless.
So does anyone have a workaround for this issue?`

When in iTunes, click on file, then preferences. See the "general" tab. There is a drop down menu "When you insert a CD". What are your settings there ?

Nokia 6230 music will not stop playing when starte...

Hi guys, i just transferred 3 tunes to my 6230, and set one as a ringtone. When i play them, the quality is great, but they don't stop playing. I tried to set one as a ringtone, and it rang, and rang, and rang even when i picked up it carried on ringing. The only way to stop them is to turn off the phone, any ideas?

Are you using version 6.80.20 of pc suite ? (the latest version).
Rip tracks from cd's using windows media player or nero and then transfer to phone.Works just fine for me.I just copy and paste the mp3 file from pc to phones memory card.I use dku-2 cable connection.

Automatic stop play(music) on itouch or newer ipod?

I have used ipod on gigs for backing tracks from my seqeunces,etc...
I was wondering if the itouch will allow you to set the song list(s) up to
play one song at a time? Similar to the playlists in itunes?
I've been using an older ibook lately and it would be nice to have something more portable.
I sometimes forget to pause a song at the end and it moves to the next.

Been awhile since you posted this, so maybe you figured it out. The problem sounds like your songs were (accidentally) tagged as "Skip When Shuffling", and if your iPod is in shuffle mode it will only play one song. To fix this, go into iTunes, select all songs in your library, select "Get Info" and then select the Options tab, then un-check the "Skip When Shuffling" option. You'll have to re-sync your iPod to update its contents (or if you manually manage, you can do this directly on the iPod contents in addition to your library).

30g video i need help!! videos stopped playing...

hello everyone, i have a 30g ipod video. problem i'm having is i can't seem to get the videos to play anymore.
it worked fine, however i downloaded more videos to it and now it doesn't run. when i hit play, it changes screens, however, the screen stays back and after a few seconds, it takes me back to the main screen with all my videos. the movies seem to work fine when i hook my ipod up to my computer.
i tried deleting all my videos from my ipod and that didn't work (not to mention deleting some files i only had on my ipod).
my music works great, this is my only problem... can anyone help???

So on occasion I'll go to a site that plays music in the background, but when I close the tab for that site, and even ALL open windows in Safari, the music continues to play!! So even with no windows open, music keeps playing. I can't even find the link to the site in my history now either. Ugh. But it has happened numerous times, especially with advertisements that play sounds/music. Does anybody know if I'm doing something wrong, or is it just a weird bug with scripts that continue executing in the background and thus making the music play?

Quit the game.
If it won't quit from the Dock icon by control clicking on it and selecting Quit, then go to Apple > Force Quit > select the game > then Force Quit.
If the game is opening when you start the Mac Mini, then go to: Apple > System Preferences > Accounts or Users (depending on the OS X) > select Login Items and remove it from the list of items the startup automatically.

OMG Please help me - my itunes stops playing after 2 tracks

Someone please help me.....I have recently been downloading a couple of albums from the internet and drop and dragging them into my itunes. I have done this about 3 times succesfully and itunes plays these no problem. Since last week, I have been trying to play my itunes, then all of a sudden, the sounds stops. The play bar at the top keeps going, but for some reason, the whole of the sound stops. Nothing out of my speakers. This happens every time! I have unistalled itunes and reinstalled it to the new version (I think I was on version 7.0.1 in any case) I have defraged, disk cleaned, reinstalled my itunes library manually....OMG everything I have done! I have tried to install an older version (to the one I was on already) and it still happpens. I have no idea what the **** to do - I have never had this problem before. I did a virus scan only the other day and I did have viruses on my pc, but they have been removed. On the version of itunes I have at the moment, it won't even recognise my ipod (2nd gen 4gb Nano) Please help me!!! I can't even find a bloomin number for apple either and I am going to throw myself and the pc and itunes out of the window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will it stop the music when the earphones connected apart?

When playing music on a disconnected iPod touch with the headphones inserted, pulling the headphone plug completely out of the headphone jack will cause music playback to halt.
This has been an undocumented feature of iPods for many generations, although some previous models would not consistently halt playback.

Itunes randomly stop playing and restarts playing like a pause when playing music.

My itunes the latest version 11.1.3 stop playing music randomly and start playing it again. It almost like its buffering itself.
My hard drive is not full.
Already tried to repair disk etc.
I do not know what to do it all start its skipping when I upgraded to OSX Mavericks.

Happens to me as well but not started in mavericks all started with Mountain Lion , a few weeks before he left mavericks , I thought the problme would be solved by updating , but he did not, it's very frustrating strange thing is that in my case not only iTunes is , if any player, have proven Vox and another which I forget the name .
I also feel the same when you play a song in quick look ( Finder) .
I am desperate this problem is with me for the last month and a half went to a apple store and tell me that my machine has nothing that can not help me, and tried everything , reset my machine with a clean install , restart PRAM , repair permissions hise disk hardware test , and nothing has changed.
When iTunes pause my machine freezes a moment and returns to normal when continuous playback , stops about 1s though sometimes hard to 5s .
We appreciate if you find solution , because I am going crazy . Since neither in apple have been able to help me .
My machine is a Macbook Pro late 2012. Mavericks , iTunes 11.1.3 did not correct my mistakes. Do not know what else to try .
