Help,my American Idol music won't burn to CD

I've bought some American Idol music,does anyone know how to burn it to a dics.It comes up saying,None of the files can be burned to a MP3 CD,then it says click below for more info,when I do it says,Ameican Idol Studio version is an iTunes Store File and can not be burned to an MP3 CD.I don't understand exactly then what it means.I've bought music through iTunes before and never ran into this,how to correct this to be able to burn it to CD?

As I said, the American Idol music is (unless I've missed a track or two) is all copy protected and cannot be converted to MP3. All you can do is burn it to an audio CD.
And you aren't asked what format you want; you have no choice. Where the record companies allow, the iTunes Store sells tracks in unprotected AAC; those tracks can be identified by a "+" symbol next to the price. All other tracks are AAC and by demand of the record companies are copy protected.

Music won't burn

Hello~ My problem is my music won't burn the last 10 minutes of my IDVD project. The music stops 36 minutes in on a burned disc. The music works fine when I watch it in IDVD or in Disk utility, but when I go to burn the movie (in IDVD or disk utility), it cuts out the music every time. I tried slowing the speed to 4x and even 2x to experiment.
The file is a slide show that includes a portion that is a movie, so I re-entered the movie to the project. This didn't work. I also bought a Verbatim DVDs as I read they were recommended in these discussion threads. Also didn't work.
I need to get this project done very soon for my mother-in-law & I'm starting to get distressed. Could anyone please, please help me? Thank you very much.

Most of the songs were from itunes & 2 were from cd. I tried to create AIFF versions of the songs & use those, but that didn't work.
Another thing I realized might be important to mention is the music cuts out a few minutes after the movie portion ends (during slideshow period).

What happened to American Idol Music?

What happened to all the american idol music by the top 10 contestants. There was music they recorded in the studio and you could download it from itunes. Did itunes take them off? If they didn't, does anyone know how to do a search for the music that the contestants recorded in the studio?..for instance...Syesha's music? As I see it now, they only have the top 2's music. Thanks for your help!

So, I went out to buy some songs from the week 4 competition and can't locate any of the songs. I believe they're usually available by now. Does anyone know what's going on????

American Idol music is either available on iTunes or not so when and if American Idol dictates (regardless, it seems, of what Ryan Seacrest says). One thing I do know is that they take down all the music from a season shortly after the winner is chosen, so if you want any of it you need to grab it in a hurry. As to your immediate question, I don't know the answer - I just did a search on iTunes and found the composite albums for each week but no separate performance tracks. And today there are only three songs (two of which are unavailable) from last night, and everything earlier than last week has disappeared. That's a pretty unusual departure from the past, but I've learned that just like the American Idol voters (whose "logic" escapes me most of the time), nothing is certain in the relationship between AI and iTunes.

Please help!! iDVD just won't BURN!!!

This is crazy. I have a nice DVD with 3 motian menus. I put in a disc and click burn. It encodes the menus, slide shows, moives - no problem. I actully thought it would work. It said it did so I put it in my DVD player and it says "No disc" I put it back in my G5 and all it is is blank DVD.
I had a problem like this with a DVD a few weeks ago but I ended up burning 25 copies. I tried the same things I did with the last one, clear up alot of space, best quality. It doesn't work!
Someone please help, I'm like under a deadline type thing. I need to give this DVD to a friend who will be leaving soon.....

when you insert a writable DVD (or CD for that matter), your burner will perform a calibration to adapt to the media. The "Power Calibration Error" may indicate one of the following problems:
1. You have a compatibility issue between the burner and the DVD media. In that case, try another brand. The DVD media of choice on this board is Verbatim DVD-R 1-4x. IMHO Ritek is another good choice. You might want to check compatibility on the xlr8yourmac database:

2. Your burner's lens has become dirty. In that case, try cleaning with a specific cleaning disc
3. Your burner might have some defect. In that case (and I hope it's not the case), you'll have to either get it repaired, or you'll have to replace it.

Missing American Idol Music

Purchased, Protected AAC music won't create Audio CD

This is a newly manifested problem. I used to be able to do this. ANY playlist containing ANY purchased and protected AAC format music won't burn an audio CD on my onboard superdrive. The drive initializes the disk and iTunes reads "Writing...(first song)". However, nothing further happens.
I have left the system alone for up to 30 minutes with no progress indicated on the burning status window. I have tried a variety of playlists with different combinations of protected and unprotected formats. (These playlists WILL create a data disk.) All protected songs will play on the computer. Ejecting the disk ruins the burn of course and I have wasted 12 CDs trying different configurations.
ANY playlist with NO purchased songs burns properly and quickly as an audio CD or data disk. I have reauthorized the computer on iTunes. I have reinstalled iTunes7.0.2.

iTunes will only let you burn protected AAC audio 10 times.
This is incorrect.
You can burn purchased music in a specific playlist only 7 times.
If you want to burn more, you need to change the playlist.

Itunes won't burn my cds anymore. Please help.

Whenever I try burning cds from itunes, it indicates that the music is being burned, but it does it incredibly fast. Then when I try to listen to the cd in a cd player, it makes a funny noise and nothing happens. It seems that itunes is somehow managing to install blank files on the cd; when I insert it in the player, the number of songs that should be on the cd appear on the little screen. Then when I hit play, "1" appears and then it shows the seconds going, as it normally would with a working cd (as in, we're ten seconds into song 1), but as I said, no music is coming out. I use "Verbatim" cds and initially I thought maybe they don't work with itunes, but then I realised I have successfully burned music from itunes onto Verbatim discs before, so that can't be the problem. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did You See If this Happens In Safe Mode?
On Startup After the Chime Hold Down Shift Then Release It When you see the Apple and the Progress Indicator(Spinning gear). This Boot Will take a Little Longer Than Normal.
If it Did Not Work Than There Might Be Something Wrong With The Disc Drive.

Help! I updated to iOS 5, but now my music won't sync to my iPod!

So yesterday I FINALLY updated my iPod fourth generation to iOS 5.1.1 and I love all of the new things I have to play with, but now whenever I sync the iPod, my music won't transfer off of my iTunes into my music player on my iPod! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you, reducing the image size worked! I had used a low res file before, and with success decided to increase the resolution/size, and then it didn't work. the image did appear in small preview in the export panel, but wouldn't burn when all was said and done. the dimensions you gave worked fine. unfortunately, it makes the image a little bit fuzzy, but i dont think i can do anything about this. at least it burned it in there. thanks!

I mentioned earlier in the 'won't burn dvd' topic that my Superdrive wouldn't burn DVD-Rs, saying there was a fault in the burning and the multiplexing.
Now it's spitting out my DVD+Rs as well. As a film student at a college that likes DVD submissions, this is terribly inconvenient. The computer gets as far as encoding everything, then spits out the disc as the burning begins.
I have tried completely re-loading my system, but still have a problem. Is anyone else having this problem and can they help me. Time is of the essence!

Ok. As an addendum, I reset the PRAM and PMU. I also repaired disk permissions. I can burn DVD+R again at 2.4x speed. When burning, DVD-R, however, it spits out the disk and states (when I try to burn on its stated maximum speed of 2x): 'Unable to burn to "disk3" - The device failed to calibrate the laser power for this media..'
I'm not sure what that implies beyond the obvious: is there some sort of power control issue I need to deal with on the system?

Have you checked if your Earphones are working?
Do you get the Music menu after the reset? (what is display on the Screen? song playing)
Normally if you Reset the iPod, it will turn the shuffle mode off, but do check under setting that shuffle mode is off.

Music won't download on all my devices via iCloud. Help?

Hi, I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 and I depend a lot of iCloud. I would be lost without it. One annoying thing that is happening is that when I purchase music on my iPhone, it won't download automatically on my iPad. And the other way around. If I purchase music on my iPad it doesn't automatically download on my iPhone.
I have checked the setting in Settings>Store>Automatic downloads. On both devices, all 3 (music, apps, books) are all ON.
The feature works with books and apps. If I purchase an app or book on one device, it automatically appears on the other. It's just annoying that music won't download.
The apps and books even download on my PC when I open iTunes. But music never downloads. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Most likely those missing songs were purchased under a different account.

This is how I managed to fix the problem...and I hope this helps others in the similar situation.
I tried with another program..latest version of Nero, and this was also stopping at the 'initialising' stage. I was now lost! I thought the last resort is to give Evesham (My PC manufacturer) a buzz. They were very helpfull. Basically go into 'Control Panel', 'System', and click on the Hardware tab, then 'Device Manager'. Uninstall everything in the DVD/CDRom Drives. Then uninstall everything under the catagory IDE ATA/Atapi disk controllers. This is where my problem was, as I only had one IDE channel here. You should have 4 or 5! Reboot your machine, and everything will automatically re-load. I tried burning using Nero and it worked. Then the big test was iTunes. It worked 1st time!
I asked why the IDE channels have dissappearred, and he said sometimes uninstalling Programmes occasionally removes them.
I hope this will help others who are having problems to burn stuff on iTunes. I can give more info if you need it.
