HELP. My brother is being charged for broadband. h...

Can someone please help my brother is being charged for bt broadband that he doesn't have after being charged £125 installation fee for a bt man to sit in his van for an hour and not do a thing. After numerous phone calls to resolve this he asked me to come on here has the mods really helped me out.

what i would recommend is for you to help your brother by contacting BT directly and find out who and when the order was processed for BT Broadband.
Secondly, has your brother received a BT Home Hub?  If not then i would ask BT why?
You state that a BT engineer sat out in a van for some time, what was this for?  was this for a booked instalation for BT Broadband?  if so, raise a complaint with BT, hopefully this link http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/2702,2705,2719 will allow you to e-mail BT or you can always dial 150 from a bt line to complain.

    Could one of the mods help me please....
    In July I reported an intermittent noisy line which was causing problems with my broadband disconnecting.

    An engineer called and couldn't find the fault.
    I persevered with the fault until October when the noise became almost continuous. Another engineer called and this time, fortunately, the noise was occurring during his visit. He diagnosed a problem in the junction box at the end of the road, put me on a different pair and the problem went away - no more noise, no more broadband disconnections and a reliable connection.
    Now, on my latest bill, I have been charged £127.00 for the first engineer's visit, the one in July.
    I spoke to BT accounts and they insist that because I reported the first fault as 'a noisy line' and the second fault as 'a broadband fault' the two are not related, and I have to pay for the first visit as 'no fault was found'.
    I tried to explain that the fault all along has been the noisy line and it was only when this was fixed that the broadband problem was resolved but they are adamant.
    Please, could one of the mods respond..... I can't afford this extra charge.

    not all the lines have ETF's. I have 30 tablets and the rest phones. The phones have ETFs and the tablets are all month to month.
    The total to move my account over is going to come out to about $8500.
    Rep has been trying to get my business for years.  I was always loyal to Verizon until this happened.

    Hi guys,i hope someone here can help because i'm getting nowhere with bt helplines. At the end of january this year i changed from bt total broadband 1 to infinity. My old broadband limit was 10gb but i usually went over by 2 or 3 gb which i was obviously charged for, no problem there. With my new infinity package my allowance was increased to 20gb per month which was plenty enough for me.however,mybt usage monitor is still showing me to be on the old 10gb package.
    Despite several live chat sessions and phone calls(the last one 2 weeks ago informing me i had 40gb usage) i'm still being charged for going over my 10gb allowance.i've even sent them,as requested , a screen shot of my usage monitor!! Why on earth would i have to do that? My latest bill arrived this morning with charges added for over usage.
    Can someone please advise me of how to sort this problem out. To make things worse i'm now going to the dentist!

  • Am I being charged for international texting?

    So I am doing a masters program in Ireland, so I'm international. Everyone that I talk to back home has an iphone just like I do, and I have a question that I cannot find an answer to.
    Since I'm in Ireland, I don't want to have a huge phone bill every month, so I have all forms of roaming off (voice, data, and international CDMA). I also have Cellular data off, as well as MMS and SMS messages.
    I've checked under the current data usage period, and current period roaming, and the data usage is 0 . When my friend back home texts me, he says that they are sending to me as regular texts. He receives mine as regular texts as well unless I'm in a wifi area, then we are both send and receive them as Imessages.
    My questions is that even with all roaming turned off, cellular, ect, I'm still able to send and receive text messages while I'm NOT in a wifi area. This only works for my friends and family that have Iphones, so I'm assuming that it means I'm okay to text them while I'm not connected to wifi?
    one thing to mention, that since I'm in Ireland, my service provider at the top left of the screen no longer says AT&T. It says "Vodaphone IE" and sometimes changes to other names like Meteor, O2, and a couple others. My plan is still through AT&T, so i'm not sure why it changes over to those. Maybe that's why I'm able to send texts?
    I just don't want to rack up a huge phone bill, not knowing I was accumulating international charges. Because if everything is turned off except for Imessage, and the data under cellular in settings isn't going up, then theoretically I'm not using data right? or that it should be free? I've been here about a month, and my mom pays the bill. She hasn't called to say that the phone bill was extremely large, but I don't wan't to text if there's some kind of risk. That being said, I would really appreciate some help with the above scenario that I just described, because this has me clueless.

    If the messages you receive are coming in as green, then they're coming in as text messages. If you can, check your voice, data and text usage on AT&T's website - that will tell you for sure if you're being charged for anything.

    I updated itunes, shut the phone off and on, it still didn't give me blue bubbles. Kept following the suggestions on the page ...  I didn't know there was an IMessaging switch, but, shoot, it was OFF. Anyway, I toggled it on and now the text bubbles are blue again.

I need to cancel the $14.99 monthly charge and be refunded the $14.99 charges since I paid the annual fee. The $14.99 is a duplicate charge as I only have one form.     I'm trying to switch from having several Single-App Memberships to one full Creative Cloud Membership.   • I was informed that my data plan was eligible for a free upgrade from 250mb to 750mb and told the rep to do so. but it was never done. I am being charged for overage. What do I do?

    I called in to do a temp upgrade on my data and was told by the rep that my account was eligible for a free upgrade. I said okay, but it never happened and now I am being charged for an overage. When I check my plan specifics I see that my data is set to the old amount, I will not pay what I don't owe. Now I am having trouble contacting anyone to help resolve this issue.

    This is a stumper! As MrHelper stated, we do not have a 750MB plan so I'm curious as to what that offer was. How much data did you end up using for the month and how much were you charged in overages?

    Hi...I'm wondering, if there is any such thing as someone being charged to for free apps? I've been looking at my banking statements for  the past few months &amp; it looks like I'm being charged for apps that I downloaded for free. I recently lost my credit card &amp; had to get a new one. When, I changed my credit card information on Itunes, that's when I noticed I was being charged. I often download music on Itunes &amp; upload my magazines to my Ipad,but these aren't only things I'm being charged for. Most of the apps I download are the free ones. It makes me not want to update my apps, because I know I'm charged. Please help me!

    I have solved the problem I was showing negative balance in my bank so iTunes needs to verify my account by taking £1.00 every app.

  • I am being charged for a phone I never recieved

    Verizon sent me a replacement phone through the US postal service and I never recieved it.  Verizon then sent me a phone from FedEx (I believe) and I recieved it and sent the impaired phone back.  Now I am being charged for the phone the post office never delivered.  I have been working on this for more than two months and I still haven't gotten it straightened out.  I have spoken with mulitple service representatives who all seem very nice and helpful and they all tell me that they can see the issue and that it should be cleared up in a couple of days and that they will follow up with me to let me know that it has been taken care of but to this day I have not recieved any follow up and the charge is still on my bill.
    What do I have to do to get this taken care of.

  • I am being charged for iMessages

    I am being charged for iMessages by AT&T. Most of my texts are in blue as iMessages and it says iMessage on the white line before I start typing. I only pay for 200 texts a month, so I look at my data using my AT&T app a few times a week. I looked at my AT&T app to see my data on Friday and it said I have used 170 texts. I looked today and it says I have gone over with 214. I then looked at my texts made since Friday. I had only texted non iPhone users 8 times which are green and 30 something texts with iPhone users which were blue. I contacted AT&T to resolve the problem. They say it all 214 show they are all text messages and for me to contact Apple. In order to talk with an Apple representative by phone or online I have to purchase a $29 single incident of support.
    What should I do? On myiPhone my texts are iMessages in blue, but my iMessages are showing up as regular texts with AT&T. So they are charging me for them and I have gone over my 200 text a month.

    Then take a screen shot of the messages in blue and tell them to go F themselves because you have the evidence right in front of them.

    maybe you can control the room temperature.... i try to charge iPod shuffle beside the mini fan, so heat from shuffle can blown away... or maybe, you can charge the iPod in Air Conditioned room....
    i think this device have a mechanism to cut off the charging process if device temperature too hot. such a safety system so this ipod won't burn out when overcharging.
