HELP! My Corner Options Menu is off of Screen

I've tried restarting my computer, restarting inDesign and resetting my workspace and I can't figure out why my corner options menu goes off of my screen in the upper right hand corner. All I can see is the preview and and OK or CANCEL buttons, can anyone help?!

Try toggling the state of the Application Frame (turn on if you aren't currentloyu using it, or off if you are) and see if that brings the top of the dialog into view so you can grab it and move it. Trashing prefs might help, too. See Replace Your Preferences

How to deactivate the "left top corner SAP menu" for a particular screen

Hello Friends..
We have a requirement to implement a "Non Disclosure Agreement(NDA)" for one of our SAP systems. NDA screen will have 2 buttons, "I agree" and "I disagree" which pops up when you log in to the system(after filling up our user id and password and hit enter). If we click on "I agree", it will allow you to continue with the log in and takes you to sap easy access screen. If we click on "I disagree", then session will be terminated.
But, the NDA window which is being popped up is also a SAP screen which has SAP menu on top left corner. Without clicking on "I agree" or "I disagree" and if we try to select "Create session" option in SAP menu on top left corner, then it is taking us inside SAP(sap easy access screen) by bypassing the buttons.
Request your help on how to deactivate the "left top corner SAP menu" for this particular NDA screen. (SAP menu to be available with other screens and it should not be available just for the window which is being popped up after log in and before SAP easy access)

Try this if it works -
in your first screen for the NDA screen, on the memnu bar select - EXTRAS - SETTINGS - Select the check box 'Do not display menu, only display favourites'.
on calling the next screen , disable this option in the PBO of the screen.

Menu opens off the screen vertically?

I have a component and a button on top of the component which
opens a Menu. For some reason the flex team coded the menu so it
adjusts itself horizontally so it doesn't go off the screen from
left to right but not vertically from top to bottom. So if you open
a menu at the bottom of the screen the menu and submenu items will
run off the screen. Does anyone have a fix for this screw up? Flash
had a similar problem with their menus but seem to have fixed the
horizontal issue. I've seen several blogs but no solution so if
anyone can help I would appreciate it...

Ok, it could be two other things.
The monitor resolution could have changed. Go to System Preferences > Displays > Display tab > scroll this list of resolutions down and choose the bottom most resolution.
If that doesn't help you could have another monitor attached to extend the desktop. An additional tab (arrangement) will be present in System Preferences > Displays if that's the case.
Physically disconnect anything plugged into the mini displayport. The desktop should reset to one non-extended desktop.

Print Options "OK" inaccessible, off the screen.

When at my Bank I chose to print a check and when I select the print option on the checks screen the print options screen appears in the lower right hand corner and the "OK" button is not accessible.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Menu buttons off TV screen

I have a 2 hour idvd project with scene selections. On the main menu the button that gets highlighted when choosing "Play Movie" or "Scene Selection" is moved off to the left of the screen, but only on the TV. It's so far to the left it doesn't even show on the TV screen, which is widescreen. In iDVD itself the button highlights look just fine, and are well within the TV safe area.
The project is in 16:9, using the"Sport" theme.
Any ideas?

Yes, I tried the dvd player settings, too. Same problem still.
In iDVD I've tried moving the button & text to the center of the screen, which has brought the actual button just barely onto the tv screen so it can be seen. Doesn't make the design look good, though.
I've used other themes in which the highlighted button doesn't show up in the same place on the computer as it does on the TV. Sometimes it is moved left, sometimes right. Any ideas why?

I am missing options in the option menue - HELP

I am missing for example the general settings or the options for smart dialing. Cant find them. In the manual is written, that I have to go to menue->options, but I cant find them there. Please help me.

I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

My "3d" option menu wont highlight ANYTHING in PS CS5. HELP!

3D options require very specific things of video interfaces.
PLEEEEEEASE post ALL the details of your nVidia video interface. Make, model, amount of video RAM, driver version. All this is essential to give you more specific help.
Also, it would be very helpful if you would list what is shown for the OpenGL option in your Edit - Preferences - Performance menu (in Photoshop).
The thinking here is that your video hardware (or driver) isn't up to the task of rendering 3D features, but we can't really know that yet.
The standard advice if the hardware seems to be a model that should support 3D operations is to visit the nVidia web site and ensure you have the latest drivers to support Photoshop's requirements.
There are also some possible tweaks to force Photoshop to try to use your video card's more advanced features, but let's take this one step at a time.

Autoscroll is not working. Even though I've enabled that funciton in the options menu, it is not working. I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad. Thanks for your help.

I press the middle button on my Lenovo Thinkpad and try to scroll over a long web page but the page do not scroll. I have ticked the Autoscroll box on the options menu.
I switch to the Chrome browser and it works ok.
Please I appreciate your help. The Firefox 4 is awesome. I want to use as default browser but I really need the Autoscroll feature.

Just as an update to this post, I was playing around with my printer just now. The specific printer issue I was having, when I created this post, was printing a shipping label via PayPal. After you create a shipping label a pop-up comes with the label where you can print. I was able to print a label (the one printed earlier with my dad's macbook air) in the landscape setting, but not the portrait setting. I wanted to see if this issue was persistent with any type of print job, so I printed out the homepage for google. I was able to print it just fine in both portrait and landscape. So, oddly for now, the only issue seems to be printing the PayPal shipping label in the portrait setting. I know this is such a weird and specific issue, but I would genuinely appreciate it if someone could help me figure out what's going on. For now, printing in the landscape setting is fine, but I'd much prefer to ship in the portrait setting. Also, in case it helps, when I printed the label via my dad's macbook air, I was able to print it just fine in the portrait setting. So this problem seems to be with my macbook pro.

No, Detect Displays had no effect. However, I made the USB connection from the ACD to the iMac after the system was on. Following a re-start, all controls are available. Thank you for your response.

Not all carriers allow that to be set using preferences in the phone. Contact your carrier.

Finder window resizing lower left corner is off the screen - Help!

Moving from a 17" PowerBook to the 13" MBA, my Finder windows are too big. If I could only change my default window size from the 17" to the 13" I could Command-A Command-C Command-V the contents of my larger old windows to the smaller new screen...or a global resize of the windows would be even better. Any suggestions?

That won't work when it is too big and off the screen.
You have to click OPTION and the GREEN button to be able to resize it when it's off the screen.

I'm trying to test a wordpress site via the browserlab - DW cs5, i can view the un-styled content but it does not render the attched style-sheet ?
I understand the instructions below - but i can't find the Options Menu described below ?

To allow permissions for the network locations associated with a particular file and its dependencies, initiate a preview of the file in BrowserLab, and then click the Allow button in the dialog box that appears.
Note: If you click the Deny button in the dialog box, any resources in the specified locations will not be uploaded to BrowserLab, and will therefore not appear in the preview.
To set or adjust permissions manually
To set or adjust permissions manually, follow the instructions below.
Choose Permission Settings from the Options Menu in the upper-right corner of the BrowserLab panel.
In the Adobe BrowserLab Permission Settings dialog box, click the plus (+) button.
In the URL dialog box, enter the path to the folder for which you want to allow permissions, and click OK.
Note: The URL you enter is the top-most URL. Anything in directories below that URL will be accessible to BrowserLab.
(Optional) Adjust permission settings as necessary. To do so, select a location in the Adobe BrowserLab Permission Settings dialog box, and select the Deny option if you want to deny permission for that location, or the Allow option if you want to allow permissions for that location.
To delete a location, select it and click the minus (-) button.

Hi Wayne,
In the upper right corner of the BrowserLab panel should be a small list icon with a dropdown arrow. If you click on that, it should open the menu. The menu should have the following items: Permission Settings..., BrowserLab Help, About BrowserLab, Close, & Close Tab Group.
If you open that menu and you don't see Permission Settings, then you will need to update your DW CS5 to the latest version. You can do that by going to Help -> Updates, and in the Adobe Application Manager that opens, make sure Dreamweaver is checked, and clicking the Update button.
Let me know if you find it and get this working or not,

Odd Startup behaviour and cannot access tools- options menu

As of this morning my installation of LV8 will not display the normal startup dialog box (allowing you to open existing VIs or open a new one), but simply opens a new VI immediately. If I close this new NI then again instead of returning to the start up dialog it opens a second new (blank) VI.    Furthermore I cannot open the Tools->option menu from within a VI front panel.
I've tried repairing the LV installation and when this didn't work I went for a full remove and reinstall - still no joy!
I've also check that this is not user specific, so that when I log in as a different user on the same PC I get the same behaviour

This sounds rather strange.
Did you change anything on your setup?
When you say you did a full remove and reinstall, how?
These are the steps I would follow:
The following procedure will remove the National Instrument Software:
1.     Turn off the computer and physically remove or unplug all NI hardware that you have installed on your system.
    This includes anything that is PCI-, ISA-, USB-, 1394-, or ethernet-based.
2.     Turn the computer on and go through Add/Remove Programs (START » SETTINGS » CONTROL PANEL » Add/Remove Programs)
    and remove everything NI-related. Generally, if you can remember, it is best to uninstall things in
    the reverse order in which they were installed. For example, if you installed LabVIEW, then NI-DAQ, and then the
    Internet Developers Toolkit for LabVIEW, you should uninstall the Internet Developers Toolkit first,
    then NI-DAQ, and then LabVIEW last.
3.     After everything has been removed (do not be concerned at this point if an item still shows up in the
    Add/Remove Programs list after you have removed it), close all programs and restart your computer.
4.    Go to START button of your operating system, choose RUN and type "regedit". This will open the Registry
    Editor window. Go to the Registry Menu and choose Export Registry File. Select "All" for the export range,
    and select a file name. This creates a backup of the Registry in case a mistake is made when deleting the keys.
5.     Remove the following registry components from the Windows Registry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\ or \ISA and delete registry entries containing any
    keys with 1093 in them.
    Do not worry if any of these trees are not listed. Continue with the remainder of the process .
    Note: You may need to modify security policies. In Windows 2000/98/95/NT, go to [regedt32] then
    Security>>Permissions. In Windows XP you can modify security options using Edit>>Permissions in the
    Registry Editor (regedit).
6.     Close regedit.
7.     Make sure that you do not have any of your own VIs or other files saved in the "C:\VXIpnp",
    "C:\Program Files\National Instruments", or "C:\WINDOWS\nidaq" folders. If you do, copy them to a
    different location. If you are concerned about keeping old virtual channels and your SCXI setup intact,
    then backup the "C:\WINDOWS\niconfig.daq" file, too. Delete all folders and files mentioned above.
    Note: If you have Windows NT/2000, replace "C:\Windows" with "C:\WINNT" in the paths listed above.
8.     Save the attached file msiBlast.zip to your desktop.
    a) Extract the file msiBlast.exe from the zip archive.
    b) Double click on the downloaded msiBlast.exe file to run the executable.
c) Choose the Show NI Installers Only selection.
d) Using (Ctrl+Left Mouse Click) select all National Instruments Software that appears in MSIBlast.
e) Press the Uninstall button. This will uninstall all of the National Instruments MSI Registry entries.
f) Optional:
The Repair option will open the National instruments Installer Program and run the repair option within the installer.
Maintenance Mode will open the Installer Program and allow the user to modify the installation. To open the installer do not enter anything in the Command Line Arg? Dialog box.
9.     Reboot your computer.
10.     You should be ready to install your software. For the cleanest possible install, first install all of your
    application development software, such as LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, etc. Do a custom install, so that you can
    install just the application WITHOUT ANY DRIVERS. Reboot your PC when requested after each install.
    Even if the installer does not tell you to reboot, it would probably be a good idea to do so anyway.
    Now install your driver software and follow the associated user manuals. Some older non Plug-n-Play hardware
    must be installed before the driver. Download the latest versions of the drivers that support your hardware
    from our Drivers and Updates software library (link below), and install them one-by-one, rebooting after each
    install.
11.     Finally, shut down and re-install your hardware. When you boot back up, it should be detected in MAX.
