HELP My font list doesn't appear in FCP X. All I see is a big black box with no fonts.

When I go to change my font on a title in FCP X - all I get is a big translucent black box with no listing of my fonts. As I move my mouse within the empty black box, the fonts do appear to change in the title, but I can't see the fonts's names etc. Is anyone experiencing this problem??? ANy way to fix this????

Have you tried trashing your preferences?
Unexplained faults like this can often be fixed by clearing out FCP X's preferences (for some reason, they get knotted up from time to time).
Download Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager (free, simple to use, and perfectly safe, both to download and use).

With Preference Manager, you can backup the Prefs when FCP X (or any of the Apple Professional Applications) are working normally. Then when either of the applications are acting strangely, Trash the Preferences, then Restore from your backups (just a mouse-click).
If you trash the prefs and don't restore them, you will need to manually restore all your FCP X settings again, so it's a great idea to backup Preferences from time to time when FCP X is working well, then your backups are up to date.
Doesn't fix every problem, but it fixes a lot.

Notes:
I made this modifications:
1. In connection properties I set High speed connections (LAN)
2. In local data settings I set the historial to ON
we had SAPGUI 620 in workstations and now we have installed SAPGUI 710

Font panel doesn't appear in mail

Hello everyone
I can't change the fonts in e-mails because the font panel doesn't appear. When I try to show the font panel by selecting "show fonts" from the menu "format", the text in the menu does change to "hide fonts" but the panel still doesn't appear. I've had this problem already while using Tiger and was hoping to get it solved through upgrading to Leopard, which didn't happen.
I'd appreciate your help. Thanks!
PS: I'm in Switzerland and therefore everything on my computer is in german - I am not sure whether the terms "show fonts" and "hide fonts" are what is used in english.

Well that cuts out that line of enquiry.
I am wondering if you imported the problem over from Tiger using Migration Assistant, or whether you have created alterations to your fonts in the past.
Have a look at *Kurt Lang's* very good exposition on fonts in OS X to review any changes you may have made.

Another suggestions would be to create a new 'test' account and see how Mail behaves in that, which would isolate whether it is a problem specific to your account or to your Mail application in general.

Place the tpz file(not the zip file you download from service.sap.com) in the correct path. You can get get the correct import path from your XI home page
XI Home page >Administration>General Inforation-->Import
There will be a value for import. Place the file in this path.

I sloved this issue by resting my phone from settings>general>reset>reset all settings...the problem will be fixed

HELP - I just downloaded the update, and now all my keynote slide shows have ugly symbols (sort of a black box with an O in the middle) wherever I clicked 'return' to go down a bullet or to edit text. It does not let me delete these marks

Interesting, Have you tried selecting the text elements and then formatting them so that they are not bulleted? And then reformatting them with a different style bullet so you can see if the black boxes come back with a different style of bullet?
I just made a few small test lists with bullets in Keynote and I have no issues.

Photoshop cursor show up as a BIG BLACK BOX?!! - HELP CS3

I'm not sure what happened, but when I select ANY tool other than the 'move tool' my cursor shows up a a solid black box of varying sizes. The move tool shows up correctly but any other tool shows up a a large solid square. If I hold the command, the black box converts back to the move tool... see screen shot below. I circled the 'cursor' in red to show the black box state.
Any help GREATLY appreciated. I'm not sure if my 2 year old pressed keys to turn something on/off or if my Macbook Pro is failing?

Why doens't Muse recognize a webfont (Proxima Nova) when the other versions are installed on my computer? The font also doesn't appear at the system fonts.

Hi,
I want to use the web font Proxima Nova (as woff) in Adobe muse on my website. These fonts are on my computer.
The otf and ttf files are also installed on my computer, but they don't appear as sytem fonts in Muse.
When I try to add the web fonts to Muse, it gives an error.
Can anyone tell me how I can get Proxima Nova as a system font into Muse?

Please try following.
1. Close Muse
2. Rename the folders named tk1 and tk2 in the following locations
For Muse CC 2014.3
On Windows: %appdata%\com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3\Local Store. You can type this in the Path bar at the top of the Windows Explorer window
On Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3/Local Store. You can type this in the Go To Folder dialog (Shift+Command+G)
For Muse CC 2014.2
On Windows: %appdata%\com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.2\Local Store. You can type this in the Path bar at the top of the Windows Explorer window
On Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.2/Local Store. You can type this in the Go To Folder dialog (Shift+Command+G)
3. Relaunch Muse and check if its showing up in system fonts or not.
4. Also try to add the web fonts and in case it gives error for any file missing woff file try the suggestion in the link below you should be all set.

I setup the "site list" as per the docs (pointed "remote site app" to
the "main site app")
I have my Novell Client 4.91 SP2 using IP Address costing =2 (ping
time).
When I login as the "remote" user, it tries to cache the application.
Only 51 minutes remaining (should be 5 minutes as I'm on the "main" site
subnet and the ping should've responded the quickest from here).
Am I doing something wrong?

that are distributed.

Firefox sync doesn't appear in options at all

Hi, I clicked on 'Replace all data on this computer with my Sync data' option in 'manage account > sync reset'. and canceled the process before it end. but everything has already deleted.

I deleted Firefox using Revo Uninstaller to completely delete it, And reinstalled it but nothing change the sync tab wont appear normally! I even go back to a restore point but it's the same!!
Note: When I click on 'Firefox > set up sync..." and choose 'I have an account' it appears like this http://i.imgur.com/IVpI9.png
What that's mean? I want to sync THIS computer not another one!
Any idea how to bring the sync back? thank you :)

Did you try the default theme?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
