I blocked quite a few different phone numbers awhile ago but when I looked at the blocked numbers today it looks like the same number has been blocked multiple times. Does anyone know why that is?

I blocked a lot of different numbers awhile ago but when I checked the blocked numbers today it looked like the same numbers were blocked multiple times. So for example if I blocked phone numbers 555-555-5555, 555-555-5556, and 555-555-5557 on different days it looks like only 555-555-5555 has been blocked 3 different times and I no longer see phone numbers 555-555-5556 or 555-555-5557. Does anyone know why?

Oh dear, one of those phantom disconnections. You know they are actually so common BT have a specialist department that deals with them. I think they are called Priority Back in Service, there is no actual phone number you can ring them on, you have to call 150 as normal and the customer service team are supposed to raise the issue with them to sort out.
You could contact that Mods but they sometimes take 3 days to reply, especially with it being the weekend.

Hello. just a quick question. i had to block someone from sending texts or calling my cell phone. my question is what on their end will they receive once Ive blocked them and they try to text me? does Verizon send a reply telling them they have been blocked? id rather not want to have to tell this stalker type person they have been blocked?

Hello gagcas! Good question!! I want to thank Budone for his great idea about how to determine what blocked callers are treated to when they try to reach you. In the event that you haven't had the chance to follow budone's advice, here is the script of what blocked callers get when they call you:
"Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The number you were trying to reach has calling restrictions which has prevented the completion of your call."

I understand you're receiving an error stating "This program has been blocked for your protection."
You can read about this error here: "Blocked", "User Account Control", "Not trusted", or "Return code: 1625" message in Windows.
You will find a link for Printers here which directs you to the HP Update Software Utility to resolve the problem. When you install this utility ensure you select version 5.005.002.002 or later.
Make sure the utility you've downloaded is for your exact product and operating system.

Help* Getting a pop up that says Your Apple computer has been blocked

My partner was using my laptop yesterday and was trying to download the NHL hockey game stream from nhl-stream.com. He tried downloading it and downloaded MacKeeper and some video player. This morning I realized what he did so I googled how to uninstall MacKeeper and did so. I was unable to find the help file to delete for MacKeeper. I also deleted the video player and everything recent from the downloads. Now I'm havinganor problems with my MacBook Pro. When I use Safari it's no longer my regular Google homepage it's search-quick.com which I cannot get rid of? (Anyone can tell me how that would be helpful)
My biggest problem is the pop up that comes up and says

I Googled other pop ups like these on apple support and they says to hit Control W to close the window then change security preferences. The control W does not close the window I can only get rid of it by clicking Force Quit. Then when I reopen Safari either the Popup immediately comes or the first website i search it comes. Sometimes I also get new windows open for MacKeeper. This is very frustrating and I am still learning on how to work around my Mac. I have never found a problem with my computer before he went and downloaded the game.
IF anyone can direct me in the right direction to have this removed so it's safe again to go on my banking etc that would be great! I tried to call apple support but of course my call support has expired!

I'm trying to install CS6 onto my new Mac. However, the installer is saying that my serial number has been revoked. HELP

I purchased CS6 in June of 2012 and have been using it without a problem ever since. I just purchased a new Mac however, and want to install my current version of CS6. I downloaded the installer from adobe.com and am to the point of entering my serial number. This is a security setting on your system that is resulting in this behaviour, not Flash Player installer itself, or anything with the installer. There are many Google search results on this. The first hit I got, was the following from the Microsoft forums:
To unblock a software publisher:
1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
2. Go to the Content tab, Look under the Certificates section.
3. Click on Publishers button.
4. Select the Untrusted Publishers tab.
5. Select the Publisher you wish to unblock and click the Remove button.

App World Inaccessible - Error Message "App World has been blocked"

Dear All,
I recently purchased a Sprint-branded Blackberry Curve 9350 (in excellent condition) off of Amazon, and all of the phone is entirely functional, except that every time I try to access the Blackberry App World I receive a pop-up message reading "App World has been blocked".
Initially, when I switched my pre-existing Sprint line to my new Curve, the phone was entirely wiped and reset. I began using the various functions and only a few days later realized that I cannot access App World. I spoke to several Sprint representatives and over the course of a few days took the following steps, all without any success:
De-installed and reinstalled App World
Did a Batt-pull with the phone on, de-installed and reinstalled App World, and did another Batt-pull
Hooked connected the phone to my laptop and de-installed App World via Blackberry Desktop Manager
As I purchased the phone over Amazon, I don't believe warranty protection applies. However, it seem incongruous that all of the other applications and functionality of the phone work, with the sole exception of App World.
Could someone please suggest steps to remedy the problem and make App World accessible?
Also, could someone please advise whether I can bypass the App World app and install Blackberry apps onto the Curve directly via Blackberry Desktop Manager and, if so, what the steps to do that are?

From that description, I suspect a latent IT Policy is on your BB that is blocking AW. Normally, the error message would say more than what you reported, and that would be more indicative...but this is my guess from what you provided.
To cleanse it, you actually have several things you need to do...starting with checking to see if this is indeed the case:
KB30076 How to check for an IT Policy on a BlackBerry smartphone
Sadly, there also are also rare situations with "stealth" IT Policies that exist, but do not actually display as such via the above. Again, the complete error message may have provided a better hint about this issue.
Nevertheless, I believe you need to conduct certain steps anyway, especially given your method of procurement. Refer:

While it sounds as if someone did or had you do much of this, I think you need to review it to be sure. Further, none of those WIPE methods would actually have removed an IT Policy from the BB. Rather, you need to perform the ResetToFactory process, which I recommend you do instead of (or in addition to) the WIPE that the KB recommends:

In addition, you need to be careful if you've already placed data onto the BB that you need to retain. You can backup/restore your device before/after these WIPEs, but you need to be careful when you restore...do not do a full restore, or you will simply put the offending IT Policy back on board. Rather, do a selective restore of only the databases you require, and being 100% sure to avoid any databases that have anything at all to do with IT Policy:

Lastly...given this situation, it is entirely possible that there are further challenges with this specific BB. For example, if the BIS account is locked due to the BB being previously reported as lost or stolen, there will be nothing you can do about that, and you will never be able to have full services. But Orange certainly should be able to tell you if this is the case.

These methods exist:

However, there is no way to know if the IT Policy will also block these methods.
