Help! my iphone 4 has duplicated every song...

my iphone 4 has duplicated every song i have. there are no duplicated on itunes in the computer and when i sync it nothing changes. also when i try to play a song it will not play. it skips songs and eventually starts playing a completely different song. HOW DO I FIX IT?

On computer iTunes > File > Library > Organize Library ...
Witn your iPhone connected and selected in computer iTunes, de-select all the music and then Sync.
When finish, check the songs you want and do a sync again.

ITunes has DUPLICATED EVERY FILE of my collection

Hi,
I've encountered a problem where every file in my entire collection has been duplicated.
Two things happened in a short time frame, so I'm not sure which (or both) caused the problem, and what to do next. I was having a problem with the external hard drive that my collection was on, so I moved it to a new disk. I followed the instructions on how to move your collection, and this seemed to go without a problem (I did not check the actual files at that time). Now within a week, 7.7 has been released. I upgraded to allow my iPhone to connect, and at that time, I lost the link to the connection, as the folder path was reset by vers 7.7. Once I corrected this, the problem seemed to be fixed. Tonight when I went to open an actual file in the Finder, I noticed that every track in the album had the original version plus a second version so for example ... "song.mp3" and "song 1.mp3". This has occurred for *each and every file* I have looked at in my iTunes collection.
Any ideas on what has happened, and what I should do next?

IPhone 3gs skips every song

Went to play music on iPhone 3gs 5.0.1 and it skipped every single song on the phone. When I select a song to listen to, it goes on the song (it indicating that it is abouts to play from the start), it then skips to the next song, then the next etc. Shake to shuffle is off, shuffle is off, repeat is off. I have tried re-syncing my music back onto it.
I recently plugged it into a new laptop, rather than my old PC. I had Home Shared all music across to the laptop to make sure there would be no issues, but the skipping songs has started occuring since i plugged it into my laptop. any ideas?

IPhone has been deleting songs that I have downloaded from CDs

Songs that I downloaded into iTunes from previously purchased CD's have been randomly deleted from my iPhone 4, but in iTunes they still play. Music that I directly purchased through iTunes is still working.

This happened to me too, but I only have cds. I read in another thread the problem could be in a corrupted file. They said to re-sync with nothing checked off, this would delete everything from the phone. Then re-sync with your selected music. My problem started occurring when certain songs were deleted from a CD accidently on the Mac and iTunes couldn't sync those songs becuase it couldn't find them. I wiped out my phone as described and re-synced without that CD being selected and haven't had the problem anymore. It seems like the issue is fixed now.

HELP! iPhone has stopped working

So I tried to restore my iPhone to original settings and it wont restore.
Error (1013) keeps occuring amongst other things.
My iTunes is up to date as is my microsoft security.
My phone turns on and says I need to plug into iTunes (like when you first get it) but when I try to restore it the error keeps coming up.
What can I do?

Well an iPhone 4 should still be under warranty, so you could always take to an Apple Store and have it looked at.

As far as error 1013 goes here is what Apple says in the document:
Error 1004 and 1013: This error may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being blocked, redirected, or interrupted. Adjust your hosts file or security software to ensure that connections to gs.apple.com are not blocked. If the issue persists, try restoring on another computer with a known-good connection. If this restore is successful, you will need to contact whoever supports your install of the operating system and security software installed on your computer for assistance. If your hosts file redirects requests to gs.apple.com, you may choose to follow Can't connect to the iTunes Store, in the "The 'hosts' file may be blocking the iTunes Store" section.

Try a hard reset. Hold the Sleep/Wake button (top of the phone) and the Home button for about 15 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).

HELP! iPhone 5 Dropping Calls

I just switched from an HTC Rezound to an iPhone 5. The device is brilliant in almost all respects....the problem is that it is terrible at what it was designed to do; make phone calls. Although my rezound worked flawlessly, the iphone has dropped every call I have made with LTE activated, and around half of the calls I have made on the 3g network with LTE turned off.
I have already tried a factory reset of the network settings and taking out and putting in the sim card. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.

Dailykosak, I regret to see that your iPhone 5 isn't performing as well voice-wise as your Rezound. Dropping every call is definitely excessive. Is this happening in a specific location or everywhere you use your phone? What zip code are you located in? Is the signal low as well? If you're within your 14 day worry free guarantee, I would recommend exchanging for another iPhone 5. Different phones will connect to the network differently, but dropping every single call is definitely a problem and possibly an issue with the hardware.

Upgrade to iOS7 synced every song ever downloaded

I have had my daughters on my iTunes account for a long time and they have downloaded a couple of thousand songs. I have always synced my iPhone with my iMac and my music library, about 900 songs. After the upgrade this morning, iTunes has installed every song ever downloaded onto my phone, rather than just my iTunes library. So my iphone music is crammed with music I don't want. How do I reverse this? I tried re-syncing but no luck.

Connect your device, go to the Music tab on iTunes, under your device and uncheck Sync Music, then sync the device. This will remove all the music. Then go back in and turn it back on, but select the option to just sync checks songs and playlists. Select the playlists/music that you want, and resync. Make sure turnning off Automatic downloads on the iPhone for iTunes.
Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Automatic Downloads -> Music.
Or, see if your daughters have good taste in music. :-)

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I have an iPhone 5. It says I have 537 songs on it but every song shows the cloud icon. I have gone through every suggested step I've googled and deleted songs but settings still shows them. When it's plugged into my mac itunes shows it only has 42 songs.
