HELP my iphone 4s screen is cracked. how can i get it replaced for free

My friend accidently shoved me causing my iphone to fly out of my hands and face first on the ground. Now it's badly cracked with spiderwebs over the screen. My sister cracked her screen a month after purchasing it and Apple replaced it at no cost. I've had my iphone 4s for about 7 months. Do you think I can get it replaced for free? If so what story should I tell them? And any tips pls? Thank you

You cannot get the screen replaced for free...that is an out of warranty accidental damage issue. The iPhone 4s will be replaced with another for $199 at an Apple store genius bar. Be sure to make a backup of your content, best done in iCloud so the Apple genius can restore your content to the replacement iPhone.

Out of Warranty replacement is $149US, similar cost in other countries.
Might also be worth seeing if you are elligible for an upgrade through your carrier. AT&T & Verizon off the 4 for free with 2yr contract. The 4S is available from AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon for $99 with 2yr contract.

The rest of my phone is still perfectly operational. I was taken through some diagnostics over the telephone with an Apple advisor, who asked me to restore the software, back my phone up, etc, which I have done. He couldn't rectify the problem so advised me to take it in. I am booked in this evening to see an Apple advisor in store. I don't know of anything that I have done for this to happen! It was in my pocket on holiday in Portugal and was ok one minute, I took it out of my pocket and the vertical lines were on my phone and the touchscreen had stopped working! I hope I can get it replaced.

I have a macbook pro from last year, got it around march. Back then i installed all the apps you get with macbook, imovie, garageband and iphoto. I tried iPhoto, but was completely lost and i just thought that i might as well just delete the app if i don't use it, so i did. Now, that one of my friends have a macbook and use iPhoto i understand how the whole thing works, so i would like to get it back. Only problem, how? I go to app store and purchases, but it's not on the list, imovie and garageband are there though. Now i search for iPhoto in the searchbar, and it says that i need to pay for the app. So my question is, how do i get iPhoto back?

How can I get a replacement for my Install DVD?

I already had installed Logic Studio on my iMac. Now I wanted to install it on my MacBook as well.
When I took out the Install DVD from the insertion slot of my MacBook Pro, the edge of the slot scratched the top of the DVD and damaged it. ( How's that possible, by the way? )
Now I cannot finish the installation process. What can I do in order to get a replacement DVD?

The apps that were under the 5 year of the App Store banner are no longer free. They are now, once again, for fee apps and that banner is gone from the store front. It was A limited time deal and appears to have ended. Those app developers were not going to give their apps away forever.

Lion should stll be on the Recovery partition on your hard drive, unless you completely repartitioned the drive. If not, you should be able to use Lion Internet Recovery. See:

No one can predict what Apple will say when they see your cord. Just bring it in. If found defective it will be replaced on the spot.

Try deleing the download and try again. It is located:

Yes I have read of other reports from people saying theirs are fine. I am really looking forward to purchashing one but I do not want to take a 2000 dollar chance that I might end up with a bad screen. I am still waiting for apple to make an announcement.
