Help, my iphone 5 is locked and will not function! I've turned it off and on and it has the same fault. What ever you press on the screen highlights with a box round it. When you press the round button with the square in the centre the voice on the phone tells you the time. Then the voice says screen lock. If I try and unlock the phone the voice says phone unlock but you can't put the code in. If you hight the box it will say the number but not put the code in?! What's the crack?
Quickly Triple tap the home button to de-activate VoiceOver.

Start iTunes. Make sure you really are running the version you think you are. Sometimes people end up with two copies, different versions.

You say you are running Snow Leopard 10.6.3. That version will not run the latest iTunes which requires 10.6.8 If you need iTunes 10.7 you have to be running 10.6.8

I have the iPhone 4, recently installed ios6 now my phone constantly turns itself off, keeps freezing and then 2 or 3 times in the space of 24hrs it has to be restored to factory settings. This has gone on for over a week.
If all basic troubleshooting has been tried and a restore as new does not resolve, take it to Apple for evalation and possible replacement.

Click on your account name in the top right corner of the iTunes store in the iTunes application on your computer, enter your password and click the "view account" button. Navigate to the Apple ID summary where you have the option to "change country or region".
In order to change your location, you will need a credit card registered to an address in the location you are trying to change to.
You cannot change your location if you have credit on your account, if you are unable to spend your credit and leave a balance of zero, contact Apple, which you can do through iTunes Store Support. -
working with my 2 FireWire HD i had a crash. the only way to start was a safe start. then id maged to start from a DVD and install a MAC OS 10.3 wich ran 4 some time then the same problem only safeMode. kernel panic by inserting the tech tool DVD, wich produces the following highligted text:

It appears to be a FW problem, possibly flaky case, or drive problem.
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Be sure to do a backup before updating as protection. Photos should
be synced with your computer, music should be in iTunes, documents
should be backed up on your computer as should contacts in whatever
program you use on your computer. You should already have backups
of your important information to prevent loss in case of theft, crash,
physical damage. The question is not if your hard drive will crash but
when, and you iPhone is not a backup device nor fit for the only
source of any document, picture, music, movie, contact or otherwise
irreplaceable information. -
I have an Iphone 3gs wi-fi problem. When I try to access my home wi-fi network the phone looks for the network, finds it, but cannot lock it in. The check mark flashes a few times then the phone tries again to connect. This only happens with my home wi-fi. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem. I have re-booted the phone and the router without any luck.

I've been suffering from this problem for a few months. I tried everything suggested by everyone, and then, today, I had a mad idea.
I used to work in a room in the house that's about 12 metres away from the router. It's on the next storey up and horizontally about 8 metres away. The problem started when I began to work in the same room as the router.
Today I became so frustrated that for some reason I walked into a room about 8 metres away on the same level - Guess what? I connected with no problem at all. Feeling full of joy I walked back to the room where the router is located - Dropped internet connection within a few minutes! Walked back to the the room that's 8 metres away and, hey presto! I have a connection. I now realise that the problem was that I moved too close to the router.
I can think of no logical explanation for my experience, but empirically it seems to work. Does anyone have the faintest idea of why this should be the case? In the absence of an answer I think I may have to start believing in fairies at the bottom of the garden - I'm just off to set a meal for them.
By the way, I don't know if it has any significance, but the router is a BT Infinity router that has replaced the incredibly unreliable Virgin Media cable connection -

My iPhone 4a keep telling to plug it in to iTunes and restore it I do that and then the next day it ask me to do the same thing what is the problem? I need and trouble shoot or some type of solution for this problem.
If you have restored as new and the device continues to go into restore mode, then it appears you need to make an appointment at the Genius bar as there could be a hardware issue with your device.
One last question, the phone has not been hacked/jailbroken, has it? -
I'm try to buy a movie from iTunes with my I pad 3 and it tells me there is not enough local storage and when I go to my local storage there is a lot on free storage I also restarted my ipad but still the same prob what do I do?
5GB is typically not enough space to download a movie. Often, movies take from 3 - 5 GB to begin with. The only option you have is to delete more things from your iPad. You can remove unused Apps, pictures, music, text message (messages with pictures can take up a lot of space), email messages, books, magazines etc.

I have a HD video clip (MPEG 4), able to watch in VLC in my Mac-book-pro, but not in Quicktime player and FCP X - just seen as full green. Help please to view in FCP X by changing the format or what ever thats required. Thank you.
Thanks for your reply. This video was recorded by my own professional camera, Sony PMW EX 3, two years back. But I am neither a professional cameraman nor an editor. I am just like a beginner in both. I didnt have space in my storage device, so I just copied all my clips, thinking I can edit it latter, without recompressing or editing or whatever I should have done it at that point of time. Now I need to edit it and use it in my profession. I am very upset. Please help me in going step by step to get it in FCP X for editing. Also I would like to know, do I need to buy the Compressor 4 for any reason. I dont mind in buying, if you think it is going to be useful for some reason.
