HELP! My iPhone isn't starting up!
Okay, my iPhone 3G today starting getting extremely laggy, so I decided to just reset it. I tried turning it off by holding the power button and sliding the red slider, but it was just hanging at the black screen for awhile. After a bit I just decided to hold down the power button and the home button to reset it, and it turned off. When I tried to turn it back on however, it showed the silver apple logo, then shut off after a little bit. Now it just shows the silver logo for a bit then turns itself off. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Hi!, This morning something similar happened to my iPhone 3G, had charged it during the night, disconnected it and then tried to wake it with the Home Button. nothing happened so I had to restart it with pressing the Power and the Home Button. Tried to start it and got the few seconds of Apple Logo and then nothing. Connected to iTunes and iTunes wanted to Restore the Phone and Reload everything... My Phone now gets stuck while verifying Restoration (or at the end of the actual loading of the software).
Seems as at least my phone is dead, but I've only had it for a couple of months after the previous one, a replacement had a non working GPS, which in turn replaced my original one bought a year ago that just suddenly lost 3G frequencies and suddenly got a brown bubble (something warm;) by the microphone.
What's up with these iPhones? Poor build quality or??

Right click 'computer' in your PC/laptop (whichever). Click 'Manage', then 'Services and Applications', then 'Services', you should see 'Apple Mobile Device' running or stopped. If you couldn't find 'Apple Mobile Device', it means you haven't download iTunes into your PC/laptop (whichever).

My 5s iPhone is stuck on Itunes icon and a cable. I tried to do a restore but the iPhone isn't updated. All the labs that i send it to, couldn't fix it, what I can to? help! thanks.
Sounds like a 'stuck' Shift key. You could try to take the key off and put it back on yourself (should be some info on that from ifixit) or just take it to your local Apple Store and have them fix it.

So I set up my iPhone and everything yesterday. . .I downloaded the newest iTunes, but each time I even try connecting iTunes to the iStore, it says iTunes cannot connect to the iTunes store, unknown error occured (-3221), make sure your networ connection is secured. . .- -Well, my connection is secured and I've checked everything I could think of, but I still can't access the iStore from iTunes.
Another problem, my iPhone isn't even showing up in my iTunes. I had to use a seperate computer to even set up my iPhone. . .HELP! ! !

Just yesterday, I was getting the iTunes cannot connect message... it's happened prior to the iPhone..it just happens from time to time... I guess sometimes it just has some kind of connection error with the server. Nothing to be concerned about..that's on their side..not yours! -
So the left side of my iPhone isn't working at all and I even tried turning it off for 5 minutes about 10 million times but nothing is working. Any suggestions on what to do I need help like ASAP!?
Have you performed a reset? Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons and await restart.

The sound on my iPhone isn't working I don't understand why it was working fine an hour ago I haven't dropped it or anything simply just out it on silent... The music I was trying to listen to didn't want to make a sound when I turned it in , I put a pair of headphones in and and it worked as soon as I took it off it completely stopped the music was playing still I could see it in the top column that the play button was on ... Then I made a call an the same thing happened I turned it on speaker and then I could hear them... The sound is completely off even tho i looked at the seettings and put the volume on high noting is sounding on its own not even when i tap the buttons... I took it off the silent before I tried this stuff I don't understand please help !!!
make sure that your head phones are not attached to the phone then use the volume buttons on the side, if when using them you see a pic of headphones on the screen, then you have some lint in the headphone jack, use some compressed air and blow it out.
If you dont see that then try to reset the phone, hold down the home and power buttons for 20 seconds or untill you see the silver apple.
If you are still having a problem restore the phone and set up as new to see if that clears it up.

How to solve this problem that I havei've had a few issues like this.
I've found that it is an issue with items that are already on your phone.
several troubleshoots.
1) uncheck everything from syncing (apps, music, tv shows, movies, podcasts, etc), try to perform a sync, it most likely will work. Then, sync after checking each item individually (check the sync box for videos, then sync, check the sync box for podcasts, then sync, check the sync box for music, then sync, etc). One of two things will happen, 1) you will fix the problem, or 2) you will identify exactly what part of the sync setup is the culprit.
2) if the above doesn't work, I've found that it is likely an issue with files that are on your phone but your phone doesn't exaclty recognize (for example, I had copies of music on my phone that didn't show up in the music app, I went in on itunes and manually deleted those songs from my phone and that fixed the sync). to do this, check the "manually manage music and videos" box at the bottom of "summary" while your phone is connected to itunes. Then, go to the left hand pane in itunes and find your iphone device, click the drop-down arrow that shows all the categories for media on your iphone. Go to the music category in your iphone on itunes and delete all the music that shows up. Try to perform a sync - it likely will work. After this, you can uncheck the manually manage music box and re-sync your phone as normal

My iPhone has suddenly started sending emails in Courier New (rather than the standard Arial). They appear in Arial when I compose them, but turn to Courier new in the sent folder and when displayed to the recipient. I use Yahoo Mobile Mail. Help! How can I change the settings so that the sent emails go back to Arial? Thank you!

Sounds like you have auto app down load enabled. Which is by default if I recall.
Settings---> iTunes & App Store---> Auto App Download.

Took my phone to the Apple store this week and they told me it was a hardware/screen malfunction. They replaced the screen for free since it was under warranty. Now it works fine again!
