Help! My ipod just stopped working
I've had my ipod mini for about a year. Today, after using it, I turned it back on and now the songs will not play. I choose a song and the ipod thinks about it for a few seconds and then it moves on to the next song. It will keep going like that to the end of the playlist never playing any songs.
You should try to re-inport the songs into your i pod

My ipod pretty much has just stoped working. i didnt drop it or anything. i always use it in my car and it use to work fine but all the sudden it would just freeze..and i would have to wait for the battery to die so it would unfreeze. but then the same thing would happen again once i tried to play a song. the song would play for about 30 seconds before freezing. i have no idea what is wrong with it or how to fix it. i was reading other peoples post and people were saying to restore it?? i dont know what that is or how to do it.

Ok one day out of the blue my ipod just stopped working it wouldnt turn on nothing but after recovering it, it's fine now but there is only one problem my screen wont work i can't do anything on it not even unlock it please someone help!!!!
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order -

what can I do if my ipod just stopped working? I just purchased it on Aug 23, 2013. I was jogging with it then it just shut down and have not been able to turn it back on.
It could be, since Apple is not liable for user negligence. However, there is no way to definitevely say yes or no on these forums. Apple will run a diagnostic on the device and draw their own conclusions. I would advise not telling them that part though. Best of luck.

i book has froze,
following these steps and the ipod should reboot.
1>press and hold both power and home buttons up to 30sec till the apple logo shows let go of both buttons.
2>let ipod reboot.
3>once it reboots press and hold the power button and slide to turn off.
4>give it 30sec's and turn back on.
5>connect to computer and sync

Help my Ipod suddenly stopped working 2 min after unplugging it from my scion pioneer ipod ready radio. I am not sure what happened; it was working fine and charged sufficiently and i walked into the gym and tried to turn it on, and no life. I tried plugging it back into my car and it says "i-pod read error". I then tried to plug it into my computer and it doesnt even read it. I may have unplugged it when it said do not disconnect; i am not sure though.Any suggestions? thanks!
Windows XPI'd say your "Scion Pioneer" radio fried your Mini; could have been a power surge, or could be a bug.
You might want to go the "aux jack" route next time. -

thanks a million think that might have worked. I did it and seemed like nothing happen so before a threw it against the wall, lol, i plugged it into the computer via usb and it started to charge.
Now this leads me to another issue i have had before, that is itunes not recognizing my ipod when it is plugged in. That is what is happening now, and this has happen before. The solution i have had before was to shut down MAC and restart, which is very annoying when trying to add a pod-cast to ipod and leave the house. Any thoughts???

My Ipod touch 5 just stopped working. The screen got black and now I can't use it or start it.
I have tried to charge it but it doens't start and when I tried to connect it with my computer it didn't work either.
I saw that you could hold down the "home" button and the "power" button at the same time but my home button doens't work so I can't do that.

I desperately need help. My laptop is my life. I don't have any idea why or when it stopped working, but I was using it and it was just fine, but then I got a notice that there was a 43% charge left on my battery. - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Help MWI light just stopped working.
I have a client we deployed a UC560 system. Everythign was working but now the MWI lights stopped working. I have checked everything I can think of but I can not get them to light up. Any ideas would be helpful.

ToddIt could be any number of things, but in your config you have:

yet all your numbers appear to be 4 digits; i.e. you'd need "number A801...." and "number A800....". There could be some translation and such going on. Otherwise it might be necessary to run some debugs (from CUE, you could do a 'clear trace', 'mwi refresh telephonenumber XXXX', then 'show trace buff long' and see what it's getting back. CME would have some debugs, too, but at least you'll get some basic info on whether it's getting rejected or not. -

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button until the screen goes dark. The Apple logo should appear after a few seconds, then the Home screen should appear.

hi. I got my ipod shuffle 2nd Generation a while ago and it had so far worked fine, until I connected it today and windows gave the "USB device cannot be recognized" error message. I updated Itunes (which was a hard thing to do in itself) but I still get the same message. I tried the 5R's but I can't get them done because the ipod doesn't show neither in Windows nor in itunes. Do i have to reset my ipod? replace it? (Windows suggests I replace it :P) It still plays the music inside it, but I don't think the battery charges or anything, because the orange lights blinks twice, I get the message and the light turns off completely.
I tried the Ipod in my laptop (to which i had connected it in the past) and got the same message. any suggestions?
PC Windows XP Prome too! My (3rd) shuffle was working fine (versions 1 & 2 went back to the shop as they didn't work!) until suddenly it stopped playing music. I thought the battery was dead, but when i go to recharge the orange light blinks 3x & nothing else. The Ipod is not recognised by either Itunes or as hardware attache, by 2 diff pc's...my only guess is that this 1 is broke too, and I WILL NOT be getting version 4, just my money back...

I have an older Ipod nano. I unplugged it from the charger and the screen was black. I have tried charging it more than once since then. Will not charge in the wall or conncted to my computer. Also tried to connect it to the itunes on my computer but it would not connect. Resetting did nothing and the screen stayed black. Anyone know what is happening to it? Any way to fix it myself or should I take it into an Apple store. Thanks in advance.
First, make sure the hold button isn't engaged. Connect the iPod to power, and try resetting. Make sure you are using the right keypress for your iPod. (I know, but people sometimes panic.)
If this doesn't work disconnect from power and leave your iPod alone for 24-48 hours. Sometimes a locked up iPod can't even be reset. But once the battery discharges it will operate okay again.
If this fails, contact Apple. To be honest, I'm not sure what your rights are when a warranty replacement is made just before the original warranty expires. But common sense would seem to indicate that the replacement item has to have some coverage beyond the original warranty. Contact Apple customer service and push this point with them firmly but politely. -

I don't know why but my computer will not turn on! Less than 6 months old!
If you have access to an Apple Store or other authorized Apple specialist with service department, you could take the computer in for diagnosis and repair under the AppleCare plan. Or the complementary coverage that comes with the computer if you did not buy the extended plan to add a few more years on the basic one. With the basic plan, you have 90-days support; if you bought the AppleCare extended plan, you have a total of three years support and service. Within the first year (from day of original purchase) you can buy the extended plan. Without it, a fee may be charged to test the computer. Or if there is an Apple Store with Genius bar, you could arrange to get an appointment there, and there should be no charge (in USA) to diagnose the problem.

Not sure what is wrong with the computer, but an expert could tell.
Also if you have an Apple Store nearby (or within reasonable distance) you could call ahead to set an appointment to talk to a Genius, and have them look into the issue(s) the computer may have. One determined to need repair under AppleCare can be handed off, there.
Did you have a backup method in place to save your work off the computer, such as TimeMachine and external hard drive? I mention this because a computer going into the shop for possible repair may lose its content, and the hard drive or other parts may have failed, so your saved stuff in there could be lost.
Hopefully they can get the problem solved.
