Help my ipod's home button and lock screen button don't work and i think it is frozen idk what to do it tries to turn off but never turns off
my ipod doesen't work and i think it is really frozen they keep sending messages but i keep taping on them and doesen't take me to the messges i have been using it all day long and it was kind of fine but today at night it doesent work that fine than today i don't know what is wrong with it
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

My iphone 4s' screen is black, but it's still on and charging. I broke my lock screen button so I am unable to turn it off using the home button and lock button. Is there any other way my phone can restart or turn off ? Is my phone broken for sure?

just updated my ipad4. now its in recovery mode it wont leave it and even tried that fancy little home and lock screen trick. It is telling me i need to restore. I do not want to because i have not backed up my pictures. HELP!!!!!!!
It's too late now to worry about not having backed up. You have to restore the iPad or .....
A. You can have a device that still has all of the photos on it but you can't get to them because the device doesn't work
or.....
B. You can restore, lose the photos and have a functioning device again. -
i tried to soft reset my ipod touch with the top button and the screen button. it turned off and then went to the blue screen with the apple like it should. however, it now just stays on that screen. it has a sort of clock looking thing at the bottom of the apple that does not move either. it has stayed on this screen for over 4 hours. i also can not hard reset it in itunes. i am not really goood at this sort of thing. does anyone have this problem or a possible solution? thanks

Turn the iPod Off... ( if it isn’t already )

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

Connect the iPod to irs syncing computer and restore via iTunes/ Place the iPod in Recovery mode if necessary to allow the restore.

Poke around in the notifications. You may find a lot of stuff defaulted to on that you may not need. Also look at the background app update and background app refresh.

Home and lock screen draining battery 4s. Also I can not turn the phone off, it keeps restarting itself. I'm guessing these issue may be related. The phone is set up as a new phone, no apps installed.
Usage and standby time are equal even though the phone isn't being used with "home and lock screen" taking up 90% battery power.
Can anyone help me with a solution?Try again to set it back to factory settings, using iTunes and again not using a backup afterwards. If this does not help, you'll have to get your phone checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or by contacting Apple Support:

I used assistive touch to turn off my iphone, because my lock screen button is not working, so now i cant turn it back on! What i did was, i went to assistive touch, then i held down the lock screen button to turn it off. Now i can't turn it back on.
To turn it back on when you use assistive touch, all you have to do is plug your iphone into a charger and it will power back on
