Help! My Mail app (only) Menu is in Arabic

Help! My Mail app is displaying the menus in Arabic while all other applications are displayed in English (Default).  I've checked the Language and Text settings and even disabled Arabic.
regards
Kelvin

Did you go to system prefs/language and text/language and use the Edit button to uncheck the box for Arabic and then restart?
Can you use the camera icon here to post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

  • [HELP] Nokia Mail App is not working!!!

There is no problem with inbox.
The problem is that I can't Sync sent items. There are 100+ mails in my sent items but they are not synchronizing with my mobile(I mean it is showing empty in my mobile).
Recently i have sent some mails through the mobile app and they were received at the other end too,but I can't see those sent mails when i login from PC or mobile browser. Only those mails which i have sent from mobile are shown in the app .
But the problem is whatever i sent from mobile app are not shown when i login from PC. Now I re-flashed my mobile to fix it,the problem still exits and I lost all those sent mails from my mobile and they even not synchronized to the server. Now i can't get back those mails which are sent from the mobile. I don't know where they are get saved?????
    Do anyone face this problem??
Please someone help me, i need mail app very badly

First Nokia Tech Support is clueless on this issue. Dec 14th, 2012 Google turned off SyncML for all new devices. So if you are using the mail for exchange, it won't work unless you had it working prior to Dec 14, 2012. How a major software update might affect that, your guess is as good as mine.
The Gmail inbox still seems to work. Just don't try to set it up as Mail for Exchange. So for Gmail only, that will work. But if you want to sync your claendar, I've only found one solution. GoogaSync. It is pricy at $22 but there is a demo version to try. But it will work with only one limitation that I have found as of this posting. You can not sync back to Google edits to multi event calendar entries. I fyou want to edit those, you will have to go to Google and edit them. But this software has a big bonus. You can sync multiple calendars.
Thanks... Only inbox is synchronizing .. I don't Know when they are gonna fix this..

  • IOS 8 mail app only archives even when set to delete for gmail

iOS 8 and Gmail is behaving oddly with regard to delete and is still only archiving them. Option IS set to the delete option in the account setup and not archive. I have read the Apple guideance documents on deleting and archiving in Gmail accounts.
In iOS mail app in gmail account , long swipe left (delete), short swipe left then choose trash and short swipe and choose move to trash all have the same effect on message. The message disppears from inbox and if you look in the trash folder for the gmail account you momentarily see message as it syncs with server then the message disappears from trash folder. (looking directly at server shows message not present).
However looking at the "All mail" gmail folder shows message STILL present there.
Compare with the iOS Gmail app. Delete a message from inbox and it appears in trash folder and stays there. At this time it is also still present in the All Mail folder. Choose then to delete forever option and disappears from both Trash AND the All Mail folder.
iOS Mail app with Gmail accounts appears with the TRASH option only to move emails to trash locally but then as soon as sync with server it disappears from the Trash folder with no further action but remains in the All Folder. This is in effect an Archive.  It should
work as as the Gmail iOS app - messages deleted or trashed are moved to Trash (from where they can be restored ) and remain there till deleted permantly manually or the Trash can is automatically purged after set time on server.

Seems to work properly for me. Are we looking at the same place? to instruct it to Delete instead of Archive:
In Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > (select account) > Account (select your e-mail address) > Advanced.
Mailbox Behavior for Deleted Mailbox: Trash.
        then
Move Discarded Messages Into: Deleted Mailbox.
It wasn't this way by default.  Move Discarded was Archive, and it gave the results you described.  Changing that to Deleted works for me.
I set the Swipe left-to-right to Archive.  So now one swipe will Archive, the other will Delete.
oooh... p.s.... this seems to work as well:

  • Icloud email in mail.app only shows mail to alias

My .me account is [email protected]
In Mail.app on Yosemite, I only get mail under the iCloud account if it's addressed to an alias = [email protected] (notice the DOT between first and last name) Mail addressed to the real address shows up fine on my iDevices, but not at all on my Mac.
This feels like I must have done something to ask for this at some point. But I can't find a setting.
    Any clues appreciated.

You may have run into the Snow Leopard Mail 'Wizard' which has never heard of iCloud and will persist in tryihng to set up a MobileMe account. I would advise removing the account from Mail and then setting it up using the method detailed here:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard

  • Help connecting Mail app to my @mac account

Hi folks,         (Late 2011 MBP)  -  OSX 10.7.5
For the first time ever im trying to access my @mac emails.  Ive openned the Mail app and tried to add an account by entering my @mac username, address and password.  The incoming mail server pref pannel pops up and the acount type is set to icloud.  Ive never used icloud for mail so i check my icloud preferences and "mail & notes" isnt checked.  I check it and it asks me to create an @icloud address.  I do this and after hitting 'ok' and 'create' it just asks again. I hafta hit cancel and go back to the icloud pannel where mail & notes is unchecked again.  Im assuming that without this checked i cannot access my @mac emails.  Any suggestions out there?

Here is how I have Mac mail configured for my me.com mail account:
    account type:  iCloud IMAP
incoming server: p04-imap.mail.me.com (this is greyed out, so must have been supplied by me.com)
    Outgoing server: .Mac(iCloud)
    TLS certificate: none
    Under advanced:
    Port 993 Use SSL
    Authentication Apple Token
    This works fine for me.

  • Help with mail APP... didnt know where else to post

    Hey all,,
I am trying to utilze the Mail app with my school mail account, but I am having trouble adding the account into the program..
First and foremost I am pretty sure the account type is an IMAP cause I access my email from an online server. I am having trouble with what to put for the incoming mail server box. My email account is [email protected] and the mail website is http://manegate.lmu.edu. I tried both "lion.lmu.edu" and "manegate.lmu.edu" and neither worked... they timed out.
    Anyone have any ideas??
    Thanks
    Erik

In visiting your school's website, it looks like it's not IMAP. It's POP3 (as I figured it would be).
The page also provides these addresses:
    incoming mail server is: mail.lmu.edu
outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.lmu.edu (you must also select Authentication (Auth type: Password) and put in your username and password when you set up the SMTP server.
The rest should be pretty straight forward. HERE is the page I got the info from. Of particular interest to you is the section called "Accessing Your Mail through am Email Client".

  • Cannot send Emails from AOL (Mail App) Only Recieve

For some time now i cannot seem to send emails from my AOL on the app (Mac Mail). I can receive ok, but not send. It remains in my outbox then a message appears:
Cannot send message using the server AOL
This operation couldn't be completed (MCMaiErrorDomain error 1030)
I then run the Connection Doctor:
I get a Green light for Incoming mail (AOL IMAP)
I get a Red light for outgoing (AOL SMTP)
    The message i get is:
'Trying to log in to this AOL SMTP account failed. Verify that the username and password are correct'
I have tried all the trouble shooting regarding checking the passwords, changing the passwords. Uninstalled and reinstalled. I can log on via the web ok and send and receive  . I believe it happened when i updated the computer some time back because my Macbook does the same now as well as this iMac.
In the Outgoing Mail Server SMTP it reads: AOL (Offline)
In the drop down i goto edit server and this is what is showing:
Description    Server Name     In Use By Account
    AOL                 smtp.aol.com      AOL
In the Advanced section i have Port: 587
    Box checked for 'SSL'
Box checked for 'Automatically detect and maintain account settings'
Box unchecked for 'Allow insecure authentication'
Any help would be much appreciated as this is becoming extremely frustrating

I assume you created a .mac account in Mail. You might want to try deleting the account and recreating it. Assuming you Internet connection is good, it sounds like Mail doesn't understand where to get mail.

  • I'm trying to find Mail.app rules enhancements...

...that make the rules act more like the filters in Eudora. Except for this issue, I am so happy I switched, but Eudora has three functions that I wish I had in Mail.app:
    1. Eudora filters are marked as old if they haven't been activated in a period of time (I think 30 days.) This way you can delete filters that aren't necessary and you can keep your filters list managable. Especially good for filters that I create to combat spam, which changes all the time and renders some of my filters obsolete.
    2. Within Eudora filters you can can have more complicated boolean conditions... Mail.app only gives you the choice of "all" conditions in a rule or "any" (all "and" or all "or",) whereas Eudora let me use both "or" AND "and" to create a more precise filter. I constantly wish I had that.
    3. In Eudora there's a hot key to automatically create a rule on the fly, as opposed to Mail.app which requires you to open up the preferences every single time.
Am I missing something? Please tell me if I can activate features like this through some special voodoo on the app, or if there are plug ins or enhancements that I can download... but this is becoming a real drag. I spend so much more time futzing with the rules in Mail.app, tweaking them to make them work right than I ever did with Eudora. I almost tempted (gasp) to go back...
      Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I second John's mention of JunkMatcher for fighting spam - I use it and don't need any custom rules to weed out spam any more.
As for your third point - you might want to check out the Create Rule script available as part of Mail Scripts - it might prove a little easier way to set up a new rule based on the currently selected Mail (and you will be able to invoke it from the script menu):

  • How can I use an iCloud email alias in Mailbox or other third party mail apps?

I have an iCloud email address, but prefer to use one of my aliases for sending messages. Third-party email clients like Mailbox don't seem to recognize these aliases. Has anyone had luck here, or are iCloud aliases Mail.app-only animals?

Mailboxes will handle aliases in Gmail, but not iCloud (no idea if that is in the works or not). Boxer makes no mention of aliases specifically for iCloud, but does support them in general.  I prefer Mailbox, but Boxer is a decent app.

  • How to switch focus in Mail.app?

    Hello!
I am trying to use Mail.app only with the keyboard.
However one last thing keeps me using the MagicTrackpad: I was not able to discover how to switch the focus from one folder of the folder list on the left side to the mails within this folder (in the middle panel - using the 3-panel-view).
Do you have an idea how to do this?
    Thank you!
    Kind regards,
    Vlad

    Hi, Jeffrey!
    Thanks for your reply!
In the linked article you can find:
"You can use the tab key to switch between the three areas of Mail.app’s interface — (1) the Mailbox Viewer, (2) The Message List Viewer, the (3) Preview Pane and the search field in the Toolbar:"
This is no longer true for me (not even in the classic design!), running Version 6.2 (1499) from Mail.app with 10.8.2: I can not switch between this areas using the tab key!
    Do you?
    Kind regards,
    Vlad

  • Scroll lag in Mail.app on  Yosemite

Hi, I found a scrolling lag (very huge lag) in yosemite's Mail.app
Only if the app is in full screen mode, the right and left content boxes (the mailboxes and the mail content vindow) is not scrolling by two finger scroll, just if I using the scrollbar on the side
If I use the app in window mode, there is no lag in the scrolling
    See this video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l43flo6xh8tkcog/2014-10-25%2011.34.18.mov?dl=0
    Any idea to solve it?

    @Ábrahám Péter
Strange. I can scroll vertically fine but since I upgraded to Yosemite I sometimes get messages with all the content in a single line. And I cannot scroll horizontally. The two finger side scroll is working for me on MacBook Pro trackpad but is not working for me on Magic Mouse.
I regret upgrading to Yosemite so early coz - although everything I read said it was bug free and there was no learning curve - I am finding Mail pretty much unusable since. List of my problems is here: Problems with Mail since update Yosemite

  • Push e-mail app

Is there a push e-mail app for windows which downloads mail from the server just like emoze in android....??

Just wondering if anyone has found  an Android App that will successfully support Push e-mail for various different account types...
I've tried the native e-mail App on my Samsung Galaxy S2 & although it's supposed to support Push seems only to partly do it - e-mails will come in at 10 minute intervals although no polling frequency has been set by me, but not in real time.
Gmail works well with Gmail account, but can't add other types of accounts.
Tried the Yahoo mail App - only one I've actually found so far that truly works as Push ie in real-time but only supports btinternet.com addresses, not Gmail or btconnect.com addresses. And the notification sound is very distacting & cannot be changed - either on or off!
I'm currently using K9 which is very nice & works with all e-mail accounts but again although supposedly supporting Push, does not.
In what way does it not work ?
It works fine (for some definition of "push"...) for me...provided the server supports it.  The Yahoo IMAP servers, for example, don't appear to support IMAP IDLE.

I don't know what the XYM... stuff is - possibly some proprietary stuff that enables thier own app to work.
If Yahoo & Gmail can make Apps that work for their e-mails surely someone has come up with an App that supports Push for others too??
Any suggestions folks, although I'm not holding my breath
