Help! My music wont transfer

I just scrubbed my hard drive and now all my music wont transfer when I put it on my new hard drive! what should i do
Btw i had about 150 and now i only have 24!

I have the same problem and my ipod touch has most of my movies and my new PC doesn't have it I also did a transfer too and it still didn't go. I spoke with a representative and it didn't help. We thought it went through but it didn't. Did you get any answers? Do I need to contact someone else to get my info?

I have read all the posts I can find about this problem and i cant find any solution. My 20 gig iPod wont accept any song that was purchased from the itunes music store and neither will my ipod shuffle 1st generation.
iTunes will display the message your ipod software is too old and I should upgrade. Well I cant. The upgrade button is grayed out so no joy there. This happens with both ipods. I have downloaded the ipod shuffle reset utility (old and the more recent one) and the old ipod reset utility says no firmware found. the new utility says cant get a responce from the ipod.
I erased the shuffle in Disk utility and still wont transfer purchased music.
I am using the most recent versions of quicktime and itunes and I am totally up to date with my apple upgrades.
One final thing. The software version and the serial number of my shuffle both say n/a in the summary tab in itunes.
I am very frustrated by this. I would have thought having a basically new apple computer would mean I would have no issues with this. Any one that can help will be a hero. Thanks

HT1351 I have the latest iTunes, and I synced my iPod several times, but the music wont transfer!

I have the latest version of iTunes and I have the latest iOS, but the music i download onto iTunes on my computer wont sync into my iPod, even though I tried syncing it several times! Any thought on whats wrong and how to fix it?

Help my music wont play. Diamond on the bar doesnt even move. I have just authorised and downloaded itunes 10 after my last harddrive crashed and imported my purchases so I didnt think I'd get problems...

Cant get music to play. It's all there but the diamond on the bar doesnt even move, I can place it in the middle of the song but when I press play it goes back to the beginning and nothing!

im having an issue where music that i purchase from my iphone wont store into itunes. therefore i can't put it onto my ipod.

Ensure that you have authorized your iTunes with your Apple ID and then check out the article below to get the purchases that you have made from your iPhone. Check in the iTunes Store and there will be a Purchases section to the right hand side of the screen and then you can see everything that you have purchased with that Apple ID.

Upgraded to ios 6 and my music wont transfer from iTunes to iPod

I upgraded to ios6 and plugged it into my laptop. I had all of my 4000 songs on iPod before I plugged it into iTunes. I had no problem before and it synced just fine. I had all my music on the iPod Touch. It synced my movies and apps, but won't sync my music. What gives?

Ok so I fixed my problem. It actually, for some weird reason, only loaded one song onto my iPod when I initially synced to iTunes. I was thinking it loaded all of my Apps and Movies FIRST and didn't load my music until last and didn't have enough room (?), (My 64GB iPod was pretty close to full as it was), I suspect, so I told iTunes which movies and apps to NOT load this time (unchecked the ones I didn't want- you don't lose them BTW, just won't load to iPod) and made room for my music.
At least iTunes still had all my music but the iTunes to iPod wouldn't download all my music. So in the screen in iTunes on the tab for music, I told it to erase my library on my iPod, (which was only one song anyway), and then told it to upload my library again and everything was fine.
I think your problem was it didn't complete the software upgrade because the download to your iPod got cut off from WI-FI. Did you upload all of your music to iCloud? Maybe that is the root of your problem. I too tried out the iMatch and didn't like it because I had to have internet connection all the time to be able to listen to my music. I was able to revert back to the original at least. (A waste of $25). I'm sure you still have your music library on your computer in your default music folder: (C:\Users\Andre\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music). So don't worry, it should still be there. The trick now is getting all your music back onto the iPod.

To confirm, al songs are already in your iTunes library of current computer, and they all play using iTunes (on the computer)?
And you are saying all the songs you purchased from the iTunes Store can be synced to the nano without any problems? But NONE of the other songs (that are NOT from the iTunes Store) can be synced to the nano, or SOME of them?

Music wont transfer to Ipod

I put the music files in Itunes and connect my Ipod. it says my Ipod has been updated but no new music has been added. I cant even delete music from my Ipod using Itunes.

Try resetting the ipod by holding the center and menu buttons for 6 to 10 seconds.

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Wont transfer music

my stupid creative zen micro 5gb wont transfer any music. it only transfers a certain amount such as 250-400 and it starts saying either:
Transfer failed
Cannot create file
please someone help me i begging you. **bleep** creative technical support are too gay to help me out. please thanks in advance

Actually I won't tell you anything the Tech support wouldn't but try the following in the order presented. So, here it goes:
Enter the Zen Micro Recovery Mode:
- First of all enter Recovery Mode: Take out the battery, press and hold the ON/LOCK button in the ON position (far left) and put back the battery.
The player will then switch on - wait until Recovery Mode appears on the display and then let go of the ON/LOCK button.
Do note that after each recovery operation you MUST use the Reboot option in order to restart the player.
. First thing to do, doubtful it'sll solve it but it'ss the safest and simplest thing to do?
Clean Up: Performs a disk scan on the player's hard disk. Clean Up will not remove any files from the player.
2. If Clean Up will not help you (most likely) then the next thing to try is:
Format All: Formats the player's hard disk ? Do note that ALL CONTENTS ON THE MP3 PLAYER WILL BE LOST!!
3. Logically this should fix all problems but if not then you should go to the heavy duty stuff which is:
Reload Firmware: This option starts the process of reloading the Player?s firmware. Here?s what you?ll need to do:
a) Download the latest firmware for the player from:
http://www.europe.creative.com/support/downloads/
and save it on your PC in the location you will easily find it (e.g.
Desktop).
(By the way, since there are 2 versions, .xx.xx and 2.xx.xx check which version you currently have (look under Menu-> System-> Information) and DL the latest firmware for that same version (eg, if it's then the latest is ..0).
b) Select Reload Firmware from the player?s Recovery Menu and then follow the on-screen instructions on your player. This process will take a few minutes. Be patient and DO NOT DISCONNECT your player during the process.
c) Once completed select Reboot.
If after all this you still have problems them the HD is most probably messed up in which case you should send it back to Creative for replace...
