Help my nano is broken kinda

Last time i had to reinstall windows and accidentally reformated my ipod nano to fat and now the restore doesnt work I also tried to reformated to something else it say that the number of volume is unknown and cant not be reformated please help

Did you try resetting your Nano while it was connected to your computer? Most people don't but once they do then their units jump back to life.

Help! Nano Frozen! Hold is off but lock is still showing!

I plugged my Nano in through a USB cord to my computer to update the iPod. There was no reaction to the iPod when I started iTunes. I took the iPod off the plug and it froze. Please help.

Try resetting your iPod:
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
*Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

I am receiving no problem with these links. The port number is correct. The link recommends IE 5.5. Check your browser. It could have also been a temporary problem. Try again.

HELP! nano frozen in lock mode

Hi there,
While listening to my nano yesterday, as always I put it on hold to save power, and I accidentally dropped it on the floor face-down. Since then, the click wheel has been frozen in lock mode and is unresponsive. I have tried toggling the hold button back and forth many times, as well as trying to restart my ipod, in addition to letting it play until the point the battery dies and then connecting it to power (I read this may help?), all to no avail.
Are there any ideas as to how to solve this problem? Will this problem just stop on its own?

Update: I just went upstairs to try the hold switch again, and I had this thought: this whole problem started when I dropped my iPod while it was on hold, so why can't I drop it again? So I smacked it (when I say smack, I really mean a little harder than a tap) a couple times on a hard surface and guess what? It works again! I'm sure this didn't solve the problem long-term and that I will need to get it repaired in the near future, but for now my problem is solved! I'm kind of afraid to touch the hold button now, though.
I might still send it in for repair just to avoid this happening again in the future, but only if it happens again in the next couple days/weeks.

It was "reset" and now "shows" in iTunes as Windows format, however when it is plugged in it is stated that "there has been an ipod that itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode. You must restor this ipod before it can be used in itunes." It shows the nano, size and serial number and format:Windows, however it shows capacity: n/a.
When I hit "update" a box pops up and says "automatically checking for updates is disabled...etc" You can "check" or cancel" Cancel then brings no result. Nothing happens. "check" brings the box with " The ipod software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network settings and connections are correct and your network connection is active or try again later." I have been trying for three days. The software IS up to date, I run three other ipod nanos (1st and 2nd gen) off of this itunes on this computer with NO problems or issues of any kind!
PLEASE HELP ME before I go CRAZY with this thing!!

Pleae help ipod Nano wont update, error message driving me insane!!!!

I have a 2nd gen ipod nano which after originally connecting to itunes was fine, has now decided to not update and not even allow me to restore. I keep getting message that I need to type in administration password. The other message says unknown error .
If you can make sense of this please help.

Help with Nano not working

Help!!! My Nano was fully charged and I let it sit for longer than a week. When I went back to the Nano, the battery was gone. I attached it to my Mac and the apple logo appeared and disappeared. It would not power on. The Nano turned on after 20 minutes, but it was cycling through the choices. Then the Nano shut off. When the Nano is on, it is not being recognized by my Mac. My 5G iPod works fine on the usb cable.

Hope you know transaction MD4C....Multi order level report....i want this to be solved in ECC 5.0 ver where enhancement category is not allowed....i have to run this report as a background job,,,,several methods have been tried....tried with BDC , Tried with functional module etc......But in vain....
For example in MD4C transaction , if we execute the code , it asks for sales order and other fields...
i have given sales order(For example) it then displays an ALV tree as an output...there is no option of saving values in selection screen(VARIANT) too ....so executing the program in background job is impossible....so we create the functional module to accept a field and then passed that value to the selection value Sales order number and then executed the report...ok the report got executed,,,,then we started to run our report in background mode and when executing immdly it shows the report and while scheduling it doesnt....it goes to spool as finished and how to view the printale format of the report(write statement is not working here)....so we tried different approach .....started with BDC recording and then passed the values and while calling the CALL TRANSACTION AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN the report is running,,,,but again how to move it to the spool.....thats was a hectic job to me...so how to go ahed with this,,kindly help me...my only task is to run this report in a scheduled time of daily basis(as a Background Job) and have to view the report output at the end of the day.....
please guide me with some ideas....will be grateful

Please help, iPod Nano and iTunes issues

1. I can't update my iPod Product Red. I've downloaded the update, and when I click "update" in iTunes, it just sits there for hours saying its updating
2. The first time I start windows, connect my iPod Nano and then start iTunes (or even the other way around, start itunes then connect ipod), my nano doesn't show up in itunes. I need to restart the service after plugging in the nano every single time!
3. I cant restore my iPod Nano either, the same problem with the updating my ipod, the progress screen just goes back and forth for hours without doing anything, infact my nano just seems like it looses synch during both an update and a restore, because the do not disconnect message on the screen goes away once either update or restore process is started.
Please help! This is my first ipod purchase and so far it is really disappointing me and frustrating, thanks

Help! Nano is black and wont reset!!!

I had my ipod nano in an iradio it was playing fine, then just went black. It will not reset and my computer will not recognize it. I then put my husbands nano on same iradio and after about 10 minutes did same thing. What happenened, HELP?

How did you try and reset the Nano? Does this particular dock listed your Nanos as being compatible with your particular iPods?
Did you connect each of these iPods back to your PC and iTunes and left sit for at least 30 minutes to see if they show any signs of life after that?

The brightness on my ipod nano 4th generation is broken. I have it set on high, but it is very faint. Is there a procedure I can do or pay someone else to do to get it fixed?

I had a simlar issue with my friend's iPod Classic (3rd Gen), what he did was getting it fixed.

HELP, Ipod nano 4 GB v 1.2 not visible in itunes v7.02.16

I did the update for Itunes v7.02.16 and after this my ipod nano 4 GB firmware v1.2 was not visible in itunes but in de windows explorer it was shown. I was more then a hour on the phone with a support guy, with the result (his opinion) that it was a hardware problem. His advice was updating the usb driver. I did, but the problems was not solved. I did the same install on 2 other computer and all gave the same problems, I've tried all the solutions on the faq etc, the 5 R's etc.
A strange thing is that de diagnostic in Itunes tells me all the information about the connectec ipod, it shows the serial nummer. name, busspeed, firmware etc.
WHO can help, my mind is empty.

For the support guy (or gal)...I have an iPod nano 2 GB and when I plug it into my USB port (I have 2 ports and have tried both) iTunes opens but doesn't recognize that my iPod is connected. When I run iPod diagnostics through iTunes it says iPod Connection Status-Failed, even though it is connected. I cannot sync my iPod via iTunes. I have tried numerous troubleshooters on the apple.com support website without any success (reinstalling iTunes, etc.) I took it to an Apple store this weekend and when they hooked my iPod up with my cable, their Mac recognized my iPod. If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

HELP! Need help linking Nano to existing Nike+ account

Hope someone can help as I'm going out of my mind. I searched but couldn't find another topic like this.
I had to restore my nano (2nd gen) to its original factory settings in itunes, which erased all songs and data. My Nano is working great now, but it's no longer linked to my Nike Plus account. When I now connect the restored Nano, under the Nike + tab in itunes I cannot check the box to automatically send my workout data to Nike+. The only option is to register. I'm already registered but there isn't an option to link to an existing account?
After the restore on my nano, how do I link it in itunes to my existing Nike+ account that has all my run data stored? Like I said, the only option on Itunes is to register and that's not what I want to do since I already am registered!
I guess this would be the same problem if I bought a new Nano so I'm sure this question has been raised before.
Please help! I need this fixed before my run tomorrow! Thanks folks!

Yes, I checked the link you provided below and couldn't find any topic with a similar problem. I already did my run for the day so won't know until tomorrow if the receiver and sensor gather info but everything appears like it will work just fine. When I plug the receiver in the Nike+ option pops up in the menu and it looks ready to go. It even recognizes the sensor so I think that's okay.
I did email Nike Plus but they haven't answered yet.
When I connect the Nano to itunes, I cannot check or uncheck the box to automatically send the info. The only option is to "create a Nike account." I clicked this and tried to just add my existing account and it wouldn't let me saying it already exists.
There has to be a simple way to do this. Can't imagine you lose everything if you get a new Nano or have to restore one.
Maybe more options will pop up after my run tomorrow morning when I plug in the Nano to itunes with a run to send to Nike+
I'll let you know. Until then, any other suggestions would really be appreciated!
