HELP! My pages document is almost invisible!

This is hard to explain... I did a bunch of posters on Pages last week. Yesterday, I upgraded to Snow Leopard, and when i went to open my pages Documents, they're almost invisible! The text blocks and the photos, etc, they're all there, but the only thing you can see is the deepest of the colors in the photo. It's almost like what I'm looking at is a super over-exposed version of what is supposed to be there.
I tried opening another pages document and starting fresh, and the Green square I tried to build was also invisible.
I did the update combo thingy for Snow Leopard and when i tried to do the Pages 3.0.3 update it says i don't have an applicable Pages program on my computer.
Any ideas?

Anyway, i moved pages back into the folder which is indeed in applications. I then downloaded update 3.0.2. it was successful. Then i did update 3.0.3. Then i restarted my computer. This didn't work before, maybe because it wasn't in the right place.
same problem. Now that it's in my applications folder do i need to do the update combo again?
That's what I said, the application MUST be in the iWork folder for the updater to work.
You shouldn't have to reapply the combo updater, but it won't hurt. Also, use Disk Utility to repair permissions after updates.

Help converting pages document with images over to a 300 dpi jpg file

Hi
I'm pretty new to using Pages. I have created a 4 page Pages document with a lot of iphoto images. It's for a elementary school yearbook. The publisher ulitmately needs a 300 dpi jpg file.
How do I convert the pages document into a 300 dpi jpg?
I tried to convert it first to a pdf then to a 300 dpi jpg but when I sent that file over, they said that when they zoomed in, the images all looked blurry.
Any ideas on what to do without having to start all over again? Worst case, I guess I can print out in best quality, scan and save as jpg but there's got to be an easier way.
I'm not a graphic designer, just trying to fuddle my way through so you'll have to go easy on me with the techno speak. Any cliff notes for mac beginners?

The conversion isn't perfect between Pages and Word. The same font is handle differently in the two applications and so are many other things too. If you are concerned about how it looks use Pdf versions instead.

Why can't I get the Close Tab (x) button on to the Tab Title (as it is in the Help examples). Mine is almost invisible top right with the List all tabs button next to the Window controls (close minimise)

The close tab button is not with the tab title tab.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
In Firefox 4 [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode Safe mode] disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
* Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Hi guys...
I just bough a new Mac book pro and I copied my documents from the old one (2007 model) , the operation was easy and apparently flawless, but now that I'm trying to open my pages documents I get the message that I posted in the title, you can see it in the following image (But is in spanish)
Any help will be very appreciated, I installed iWorks from the original CD and apparently everything went smooth but Pages is not working at all. I deleted it, and installed back but nothing changed.

Thanks for your quick reply, here are my answers to your questions.
My version is Pages '08 Version 3.0 and I used the same disks for both computers (the old one got all info deleted, so there is no chance of having more computers running iWork than the allowed by the license) so there is no chance of having different versions installed.
And yes, the documents have a .pages extension.
To transfer the file, that was via USB cable, but anyway, I had most of my documents on an external hard drive. I tried already to open both, the one tha originally was transfered to my computer, and since that didn't work out, I tried with the back-up and the result was the same.
Any ideas?

To save as a PDF, you do that from Print

I gather this is also some unnamed Pages template that you have purchased from somewhere else?
It sounds to me like you have opened something else, or you have opened Section/Page internal masters that no longer contain the graphics, or were poorly constructed so that they don't repeat after the first page. In either case you should be talking to whomever you purchased the templates from.

Receiver can't open Pages Document - Help!

I have made track changes to a Pages document and need to send it to a colleague. I tried to send it as an attachment to email (yahoo and gmail accounts) and it failed. I then uploaded it to a Dropbox account but my colleage was not able to open it. Can anyone help? I don't want to send it as a pdf as there are over 500 tracked changes and the work will have to be redone.

Pages v5.2.2 creates directories, not regular files. The only place where this directory actually appears as a regular file (to the user) is courtesy of the Finder on OS X. These Pages v5.2.2 directories are incompatible with Gmail, and Dropbox. You must first right-click on the Pages document, and then from the contextual menu, choose compress the document name. You now have filename.pages.zip, which to Gmail and Dropbox appear as an allowable document. The destination user would simply double-click this document to make it filename.pages.
There are some caveats. The recipient must be running OS X Mavericks or later, because this is a requirement for the Pages v5.2.2 application, which is the only application on the planet that can open Pages v5.2.2 documents. Otherwise, the recipient cannot open your document, unless they have Pages v2 or later on IOS 7 or 8.
I would have also mentioned Pages for iCloud beta, but since I do not have IOS 8, or Yosemite, I am blocked from accessing Pages for iCloud beta until I upgrade to iCloud Drive. Doing so, according to others, vanishes previous Pages documents stored in the older iCloud installation. Apple is at it again.

Save page document as word document help!

How do I save a page document as a word document when I don't have a 'save as' option in my File menu? All I have is 'save a version' I tried the shortcut which I believe is shift, command, S but it still didn't work. Please help!

This is not a "save as" operation.
This is an "Export" operation.
Simply go to FILE > EXPORT and select Word as the export format.

I just recently updated my MacBook Pro to Yosemite 10.10.2
I also updated my "Pages" when asked to.
Now when a open any of my Pages documents, I cannot select/edit any of the objects/images in those documents.

There used to be a "make background objects selectable" button, but I can no longer find it.

I checked out your link and I remember the import box popping up when I upgraded from iWork to Pages a few years ago. My problem is with all files (even documents created with "pages" last week. The documents open fine, I just cannot select/edit the objects/images in the background of my documents. Yes, I have tried going through all of the tab menus and layout options and tried "pages" help.
So my problem is that I cannot open documents and adapt them to my next lesson, etc.
Anyone else have any suggestions?
