I was so excited to try to use this photoshop after the trial, but even the trial I noticed the few times I was able to use photoshop, the render lighting area where you add lighting effects will not load and it shuts the photoshop program down. My laptop can run it; and it is piece of junk too. This PC is running windows 7 Gateway touch.. I had it a few years now. Can someone please help me out and tell me why this won't work? ANy tips?

I don't know since I don't share anything. You'll have to peruse the help files and check the permissions and ACLs on the Shared folder. According to the permissions on the Shared folder everyone can R&W. If you want those to be inherited by everything dropped into the folder, add an ACL for
everyone allow read, write

Are mobile internet USB devices still not working on Snow Leopard? I actually had to go back to my previous operating system to get this to work. I would however prefer to use Snow Leopard...if Apple & HUAWEI have finally got their act together!

There appears to be a problem with drivers for USB wireless modems with 10.6. I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and now can't connect to the internet with my wireless modem. I hope Apple sort this out soon. Or maybe it's Huawei that needs to put a 10.6 driver into its software.

Help? -After editing, photos are frozen and cannot be burnt, emailed etc...

Hello, I am new to iphoto. After I edit a photo (enhance image) I cannot do anything with the file. I can't burn it to a cd, or email it for photofinishing. What am i doing wrong?

Here are the steps: 1. I download picture from my Canon Powershot S30, 2. I enlarge the images as to fit one at a time on my screen. 3. I rotate the image selected, then if needed I crop or click on the magic wand icon to improve color and contrast. 4. I click END. 5. A small dialog box appears to inform me that the changes are being saved.
After these steps, I insert an empty cd and try burning images via the disk utility that came with my computer. The files all appear as "ghosts". There are no error messages.
Same goes when I try to upload the files on Walmart photocentre. It seems the revised files are not recognized and cannot be uploaded even though they are in jpeg format.

I realize there are a lot of Java monitoring applets/applications and some are deployment-specific but I need something very detailed-- I haven't found the features I need.

        Problem: $var5 = null;Sorry if I'm rambling, I just want to know what is where and who it's calling when it breaks. Then I could deduce which class, what variable, what page, etc. My application is very complicated and seemingly mundane changes can throw it all off.

We'll look into usage tracking. We're on the standard edition, so I'm not sure if it's available. Also, some of these reports may be quarterly -- so there may be a long wait to see if the view is used and I need to know fairly soon. (If it's not used, it saves us some work in a project transition going on.)
I certainly don't understand the underlying structure of the product, but it seems like there should be some way to determine if a view is used by a report. I apologize if I'm not using the correct terminology. Thanks for your help -- we'll keep looking into it.

Which Enteprise Edition features are being used ?

Due to licensing requirements I have been asked to check if a database is using any enterprise edition features so that we can downgrade our binaries to Standard Edition.
I know that I can query
DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS
to find out what features are being used , my question is how would I know if a feature that is being used in part of Enterprise Edition ?*

my question is how would I know if a feature that is being used in part of Enterprise Edition ?As far as I knows, there is no such view/sql/dbms which specifically differentiate the uses of features based upon as a part of that specific edition. If you are using X edition, then the query output of DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS and DBA_HIGH_WATER_MARK_STATISTICS will be based upon the edition. Suppose ABC feature exists in enterprise edition and DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS is saying that ABC feature has been used, so it means that ABC feature has been used as a part of enterprise edition. If there is no ABC feature in installed edition, you will never find the uses of ABC feature in that edition. So very simple is any feature has been reported by DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS view; it means that feature has been used in part of said edition.

My edited photos are being changed back to the original

I have edited hundreds of photos in lightroom. I have just gone back in to edit some more and as I am watching, one by one, the photos are being reverted back to the originals. Even the star ratings have been taken away. Why is this happening?

Exactly what steps are your following that produces this result? What did you do that you say "I have just gone back in to edit some more"? Lots and lots of detail needed here, using Lightroom words and names and not your own wording.

My CR2 files are being saved as PNG and not PSD

When I import files into Elements 12 Organizer, I want to use the Instant Fix Smart Fix option. The CR2 files are being exported to the PNG format, and I want them to be PSD files, I don't have a way to return to the options of how to save my files by using the Instant Fix button. I really would appreciate some help on this. I can't seem to get any tech support by navigating the Adobe Web site - I always land in the Forums.

In PSE12, whenever I want to use the smart fix option in the organizer for a raw file, I get a dialog with various format options and the possibility to check one of those formats by default. If I check the checkbox to always use that format and not to display the menu, I find myself in the same situation as yours.
I don't know of a way to get the menu back... Deleting the organizer preferences should help, unless other users have a better idea.

My outgoing emails are being reformatted. I do not want this.

Outgoing emails are being reformatted (see image). This happens when text is pasted in and when emails are typed out in Thunderbird.
This reformatting occurs even when sending to myself.
Compose in HTML is on and all settings have been reset.
How do I send emails as typed?

I took photos and they saved in my camera roll. they were there the next morning. I took more pictures and they are all gone. why did they not save and can i get them back ?

Hi!?I think i know a way to get the X-Fi to work with the Inspire 5700 Digital. I have no evil intend, but i would like to post a link to a competitiors product.Well actuall the product itself is not competition since i could not find a creative labs equivalent to it. The idea is to replace the Inspire Digitals Control unit with an alternati've Decoder, while keeping your all of you speakers and stands and the subwoofer. This would allow the X-Fi to be used perfectly. Games would run in 5. via an analoge connection, and DVD would run?in 5. Dolby Digital and DTS via an digital connection. That way, even Windows Vista would work perfectly since games would be covered by Alchemy and DVD's would be decoded indipendently from the computer by the decoder box. The price for this Decoder Box with an optical cable and a remote control is 30 ? and it can be found on the website of germanys most popular computer speaker systems manufacturer... I will post a link to a picture that shows the System now, and it would be very nice of the moderators to not remove this link since it actually would help people to decide to buy an X-Fi. The other way around. If you UNCHECK the Windows Event Log, then the media buttons wouldn't work. If you then CHECK the box again with the checkmark, then the media buttons worked. I have two of the m645-s4070's at home from Best Buy, I'm returning one, I tested this on both systems and it's the same result.
I've checked the box again and not unchecked anything in Msconfig - services. I thought i read somewhere that it wasn't necessary for that to run. I guess I shouldn't mess around with those.
Anyway, it would be very interesting to know what the correlation between the Windows Event Log and the media buttons were. I read some people were having trouble starting their wireless too since it seems the only way to do that is through those buttons above the function keys. Perhaps they did the same thing by unchecking the Windows Event Log...
