Help! My Podcast Dissapeared Overnight - How do I get it back in iTunes?

I have a popular podcast, in fact it was ranked #1 in my category, but it dissapeared overnight.
The search results for it don't show the podcast page anymore in iTunes, but some specific episodes do display in the search results.
When I click on one of those episodes a message pops up:
"The item you've requested is not currently available in the US Store"
The feedburner feed for it, is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/helpmybusiness and the feed validates fine. There's no technical issues that I'm aware of, no copyright issues either.
Any ideas why its not displaying and how to get it back again?

When your podcast was originally accepted, you should have received an email with a link to the iTunes Store page. Does your podcast appear at that link now? I would guess it doesn't, but it's worth checking.
The feed validates in FeedValidator but there are a number of errors which you might want to look at. However, although it's possible for something in the feed to throw the Store page but not the subscribed version (which does work) even in this case the Store page would still exist, simply fail to update.
Which leads to the conclusion that possible the podcast may actually have been removed. If this was done you should have received an email saying so (though not usually giving any helpful reason).
If this was the case it's difficult to say why it would have been removed. I haven't looked at it in close detail, but there is presumably no technical reason, or unacceptable sexual or other content. I can't see why they should object to the subject matter, but I have no way of knowing exactly why it would have been removed (if indeed it was).
You could try iTunes Support - they often aren't as helpful as one would wish but it's worth trying. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options.

• Authorized device was erased. Downloaded iTunes. Says my iPod is already synced to a library. Where do I access that library and how do i get it back on iTunes? I tried manually move songs in disk mode. Bunch of data on ipod, how to remove?

One of my authorized devices was erased. I downloaded iTunes. Says my iPod is already synced to a library. It will allow me transfer purchased songs but not songs I had that were downloaded off of my CD's. Where do I access that library and how do i get it back on iTunes? I tried manually move songs in disk mode. Now I have a bunch of data on ipod and I don't know how to remove it. It basically copied all my itunes files from my C drive onto ipod in my efforts to move the library.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

• I've deleted my Podcasts folder/playlist how do I get it back.

I've searched for this, and I can't find an answer on the 'net.
So I did something stupid. I deleted the Podcasts folder/playlist (whatever it's called - the default container with the Person surrounded by concentric rings icon) on my iPod Touch through iTunes.
How can I get it back? I've tried creating a New Playlist and I've tried creating a New Smart Playlist.
Is there any other way?

Select the iPod touch in iTunes.
Click the Podcasts tab and select what you want to sync to the touch.

• After installing iCloud on my phone and ipad all of my notes dissapeared. How can I get them back?

After installing iCloud on my iPhone all my notes disappeared. Does anyone know how I can get them back?

Hello.
I found my playlists. They were never removed. It appears that iTunes 11 shows them in a different place. Which is kind of annoying. Even more annoying trying to add purchased songs to the playlists on your iPod.
- Click on the iPod button on the top right of your screen (beside the iTunes Store button)
- Click Playlists along the middle of the top of the iTunes window
There are the playlists from your iPod
Kind of frustrating to add the songs, but the way I did it is:
- Click on the song you want to add to your iPod playlist from your iTunes library
- Click the arrow beside the song and select "Add to Up Next"
- Go to your iPod playlists as per the above instructions
- Click on the list icon in the same bar as the Apple icon on the top of the window (it is to the right of the apple icon)
- Now drag that song to the playlist(s) on your iPod
I am sure there is a much simpiler way....I just dont have time to figure it out right now. If anyone has any simpiler way of doing this, please reply!!

• My computer crashed, i have my library on an external drive, so how do i get it back into itunes?

Okay so my dad keeps refusing to get a new computer, or a separate laptop for me. Iritatingly, it continues to crash so severely that the hardrive has been wiped clean and restored at least 4 times. Ridiculous. Luckily, I was able to save my library from 9/4/11 on an external drive, but i have no idea how to get it back onto itunes now. Seriously, its a problem because my actual ipod was stolen, ergo i cannot load it from that. What do i do.

This question has to do with how to restore your computer drive if you backed up the computer to an external drive. Did you use backup software or did you just copy the data from the old computer to the new computer? If you just copied, then you need to just copy over the Music folder which should contain the iTunes folder.

• RECENTLY ADDED HOW DO I GET IT BACK ON ITUNES?

itunes recently added got lost somehow. how do i get it back?

The Recently Added playlist just a Smart Playlist with specific criteria, so you can just create a new one. Match the rule "Date Added" - > "is in the last" -> "1" ->"Days". You can set the days and the interval to suit yourself; you can have days, weeks or months.
Regards.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.
• Computer Crashed, how do I get music back into itunes w/o erasing Ipod?

My computer crashed, and I had to get a new hard drive. I was able to save all of my music on cd, and it is all still currently on my Ipod. I have downloaded Itunes again, but how do I upload all the music on my ipod into Itunes without it automatically erasing my Ipod when I plug it in? Am I able to save my play lists when I reload my music to Itunes?
Dell PC Windows XP

If you are using the iPod in manual update mode it is safe from being accidentally erased when you connect to an empty iTunes after reinstalling your operating system. However if your iPod is set to automatically update you will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No*. Pressing "Yes" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual.
You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box: Managing Your Songs Manually
While you can't sync your music back from an iPod to iTunes, if you want to check this out, there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from an iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward and will copy songs and playlists.
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
PodPlayer Windows Only
iGadget Windows Only
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.

• Deleted my music files to make room on hard drive. How do I get them back with iTunes Match now?

I ran out of room and since I paid for iTunes Match I thought I could delete my files but still have the music. Now the luttle clouds are gone from my library and when I try to play a song it tells me it can't find the file. How do I get the clouds back and the option to re-download just what I want?

I actually deleted my backup :-) That's the problem. But thanks.
I've managed to get some back but via a slightly different method.
Because the files weren't there, when I deleted them from my library they actually disappeared from the list.... So I created a new library (backed up my original one) and then synched that with Match so that all the files appeared. I'm just going through the ones I'm missing clicking 'download' and then when they're all back on my hard drive I'll revert to the previous Library which will hopefully pick up all of the recovered files.
Bingo!

• When I click on itunes it pulls up an apple player. How do I get it back to itunes.

Yesterday I was using ITunes just fine on my school computer. Today when I turned it on and clicked on Itunes it pulled up a apple mini player. I X it out and tried again from the program list. It pulled up the apple player again, no itunes. Where is Itunes? It is gone? How do I get it to open? I am a music teacher and this is a major problem for me!

Hey bnbogden,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like iTunes is opening up to the mini player. To exit out of the mini player, simply click the “Switch from Mini Player” button (the square button below the close button):
iTunes 11 for Windows: Customize the iTunes window
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12364
You can also expand the MiniPlayer to an album artwork tile. When you move the pointer over the artwork, controls and song information appear.
Thanks,
Matt M.
