Help! My Smart Mailboxes disappeared from my computer.

How do I view them from both my .mac account and my G5 using the stamp mail icon. I can't figure out to sync them.

When creating a mailbox with the Mail.app (not a Smart Mailbox) your location choices are "On My Mac" which is stored locally on the hard drive only and if your have a .Mac or IMAP type account, you can select the account from the pop-up window for the location to create a server stored mailbox.
Any server stored mailboxes created should be available under the .Mac account icon in the mailboxes drawer.
I'm also having difficulty syncing data. For example, if I delete
an email from my G5 and then go to .mac, it's not viewable but
if i go back to my G5, i can see it in the trash.
Not sure why you want or need to keep messages marked for deletion synchronized with the server but in order to do so, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Mailbox Behaviors tab for the account preferences, select "Store deleted messages on the server" in addition to "Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox".
The server stored Trash mailbox for the account will then be available under the .Mac account icon in the mailboxes drawer.
For example, if I delete an email from my G5 and then go to .mac,
it's not viewable but if i go back to my G5, i can see it in the trash.
A .Mac type account is really an IMAP type account and behaves in the same way. Unless you select "Store deleted messages on the server" for the account preferences with the email client used, messages marked for deletion with the email client used (such as the Mail.app) will be stored locally on the hard drive and not on the server.
This behavior with an IMAP type account is the same regardless the email client used on any platform - Mac (OS X) or with a PC (Windows).

You can probably fix it by running chkdsk, as explained in this other thread. It makes sense, if you didn't remove itunes yourself and it can't be reinstalled/repaired, something went seriously wrong on the PC's hard drive. Perhaps the chkdsk utility can fix it.

Not unless they were saved somewhere on your computer. You can check the Time Machine if that storage has been used and wasn't reset as well.

I have read the the advice you gave, and I had already tried that. It did not help.
When I tried to download an album with nine songs, (I have paid for the complete album), two songs were missing. One of them has showed up/disappeared a couple of times, but with a cloud/arrow-symbol next to it, what I thought to be a symbol for downloading from the cloud. When I click it, it starts a downloading process, and then I am told it cannot be done, "please try again later". The other song is nowhere to be seen. The song with the cloud/arrow-symbol, I bought 3 times, once with the album, twice just the song. That didn't change matters. iTunes tells me I have downoladed all songs I have purchased.
I do not really understand why you do not understand what I am writing, I only describe what happens when I use iTunes.
If a person want to use iCloud, one needs an iPhone, iPad or an iPod Touch. That information is not given until you have downloaded and installed the iCloud program. That is why I have it on my computer, but cannot use it. To set up an iClod account, you have to connect one of the above mentioned devices. I don't have one, so I cannot do it.
If you want the (13013) problem explained, I suggest you google it. I am not the only one to have that problem.
I am thankful that you spend time on trying to help me, but I cannot explain things clearer than this.

Shared mailboxes disappearing from Outlook 2010 profile

Ever since we upgraded to Exchange 2013 a few weeks back, one particular user keeps having to add her Shared Mailboxes to her Outlook 2010 profile every morning. She adds them and the next morning they'll be gone again.
She is the only user in a building of 50 who has this issue and it happens daily. I understand that it only takes a couple minutes to add them back, but it is starting to be more than an annoyance.
Sadly I haven't been able to find a solution.
Would someone here have an idea what could be going on?

Hi Jake,
From your description, only one user has an issue that shared mailbox disappears from her mailbox. I recommend her follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
1. Please use Exchange online mode to check if shared mailbox can appear.
2. Please create a new profile to verify if the issue persists.
If the issue persists, I recommend her install the latest Outlook 2010 Service Pack and check the result.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.

My networked Officejet 8500 disappears from my computer

My officejet pro 8500 wireless disappears from my computer running windows 7 64 bit every time i reboot the computer, forcing me to "add a device" in order to reinstall. I've tried to run the utilty that supposedly addresses this issue: "CPE_SLP_NETWORKMSI_HPCOM_000_006.exe" only to receive an error message: "This update does not support any of the HP device drivers that you have on your PC."
I've checked to confirm that I'm using the latest device drive V 14 that I downloaded from the support site.

I just received this computer the last few days and am having the worst install and maintain problems I've ever had so looking for help. I can successfully install but eventually the printer goes to sleep and drops off my network and the driver cannot wake up the printer for a print command. It always loses connectivity.
My setup is a Windows 7 x64 computer (Ultimate) wired network into switch and then router.
The HP Officejet Pro 8600 911a is connected via the wireless access point of the (G) router using WPA2 security enabled. The printer maintains network connectivity and internet access.
The software from the original disk is installed on the computer. I can print via eprint email, but I lose connectivity to print, scan at my pc. I have tried the website downloads as well. I finally restored the printer to factory settings, but that only deleted my email I had set up and passcode for eprintcenter, so that was a problem and didn't help the issue of being able to wake up the printer and access it over the network.
I wonder if there is a Windows networking setting that can be adjusted to keep the connection live vs. appearing to go offline and never comping back.
Another problem is that the photos will only print in the 5 x 7 size on an 8.5 x 11 paper. I don't know why a full page photo won't print. But that is the least of my problems at this point.
I received this as a gift for Christmas but I just want to take it back. The EWS vs. Computer software for managing the printer is so confusing. I cannot use the FAX feature because we have digital phone over IP which does not support fax service.

When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

Firefox often disappears from my computer and I have to redownload. I do it from your site hoping it's safe, but my Internet Explorer always blocks it at first and I have to tell it it's ok. Then my virus checker pops up and says "potential problem", and then I search all the other options for downloading and the same thing happens with all of them.

It is also possible that iTunes is already running, but something is messed up (and it won't let you run it twice). Open up the Task Manager (cntrl-alt-del) and see if the iTunes process is listed. If it is, right click it and kill it. Then try to lauch iTunes again.
Or - you could reboot.
