HELP! My touchsmart (IQ826t) won't load SmartCenter/HP TouchSmart

I just got my second TouchSmart, returned my first one (something was wrong with it / blue death). Anyhow I just got the new one to run and I tried to click on Hp touchsmart icon or the Smart Center that plays all your videos and pictures and etc.. and it keeps saying "HP touchsmart requires windows Aero. Please close HP touchsmart and enable windows Aero in the window color and appearance area of control panel - Personalization".
So by default it's on Windows vista Appearance Setting, and I selet Windows Aero, apply and clicked OK. Then Tried to open HP TouchSmart/Smart Center again..and it still says that... AND AGAIN I opened apperance setting it went back to Window Vista Basic!!!! WHAT the heck???? I restarted my computer, check for lastest updates.. and still.. I guess I can live without HP TouchSmart/Smart Center.. But still I want that feature program!!!
Can anyone help me or having the same problem? HELP. It just won't let me pick windows Aero color Scheme, every other scheme works fine!!!

I'm not sure if you already tried this or not. Open Control Panel (in classic view) > System > Click on Advance System Setting (top left) > Setting (performace) and select "Adjust for best appearance" > Click OK and OK again. Hopefully this will solve your issue.

Hi and thank you for viewing this post. I have a site located at http://www.marquis-online.com. If you wish to see the code, it's on the "contact us" page, or I have also attached the actual HTML document.. You will notice that I have a form on the page as well as the flash banner. When I take the form off, the flash works (Like on the other pages), but when the form is on the page, the flash banner won't load. It seems as though I can't have both on the same page. It works OK for me in Firefox. Which browser(s) have you tested it on?
Flash form scripts may be conflicting with banner scripts. I don't know. Also, you have some validation errors on the page. Start by fixing those.

HELP! Dreamweaver template won't load in Chrome !

Hi guys,
I'm VERY VERY new to web design and to Dreamweaver! I've managed to somehow put together a template and connect to a remote FTP site trhough Dreamweaver. The site already had an index page using a different template. I created a new template then applied to the index page so now I have a newly design index/home page. It opens fine in internet explorer however not in Chrome! It looks like the template isn't loading in Chrome or something!

Two things for you:
1) why is template uploaded on a remote site? Templates are to enable you to work on your desktop and then upload the completed site/page to your server.
2) Looking at your source code, it is still linking to css and js files on your desktop. the links in question are:

Please please help! iMovie 09 won't load my project

Hi,
I've been slowly working on a project from a holiday we took early 2009 (yep, I mean slowly). I was actually getting close to having the movie finished and ready for export but now iMovie won't even show the project and this is a long project
The files all run from my external drive. I have checked the folder and the iMovie Project folder shows the holiday .rcproject file as being there and I have looked at the other project files in the folder and they all seem to match up to this particular file (in regards to the when I ask it to show package contents, the same folders are in each one).
When I double click on the file it opens iMovie but the project still doesn't show up! The raw vision from the project is there but it has red lines in all the clips too.
I hope someone can help.

Oh and the last time I opened the project was about a month ago and nothing untoward has happened in the meantime. In that time we made another movie of a friend's wedding and everything was fine.

Hello, i have also had the same issue. Basically when i click on the photo icon in imovie 09 the library doesn't show,it's just blank but also my itunes library isn't showing up either. The only way i can get photos and music into imovie is by dragging them into imovie but thats not the way the program is meant to work and would also like to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help! iPhoto 5 won't load my library correctly

I recentlly reinstalled OS X on my G5. I always keep my pictures folder for iPhoto 5.0.4 on my external FW Drive. Usually if I do a reinstal I have no problems with this. I start up iPhoto, it asks where the library is or do I want to create one, I navigate to the FW drive and it loads them right up.
This time... before loading it said this library needs to be upgraded, once upgraded these photos will not be viewable by previous versions of iPhoto..." I choose upgrade.
Now my photos all look squeezed like through an anamorphic lens in library view.
Then when I double click on them to view them nothing shows up in the viewer. Nothing.
Any help ?
I'd like to retain the work/effects I did on my library of pictures. There is about 3,500 pictures in it.

Hi txchain,
Why did your library need to be upgraded. Did you install iPhoto 6?
If you installed iPhoto 6, did you install the latest update?
You can try a rebuild and see if it helps.
Try this:
Before doing a rebuild make sure iPhoto's trash bin is emptied. You can do this by control clicking on the trash bin, or from the menu bar under iPhoto.
Close iPhoto
Duplicate the iPhoto Library folder
Drag the duplicate to the desktop (hopefully you have enough room on your hard drive for the duplicate.)
Launch iPhoto holding down the Command and Option keys until you see the rebuild options screen.
Choose the first three options. If you were missing photos in your library, also choose the last option. Be advised that you will get a roll of orphaned photos and it might be quite huge. Most of them will already be in your iPhoto library, but use caution when deleting anything from this roll until you are sure the photos are still in your library in another place. It might be a good idea to share/export this roll of photos just in case you need to import them again.
Back to the rebuild, depending on the size of your library it might take some time. When it is done, hopefully your photos will be there.
You might see some unexpected results as I did when I did a rebuild. Photos had been moved to wrong dates, video clips had lost their duration info and some were even orphaned from the jpg pointer file. It took me some time to straighten it out again.
This is the reason to make a duplicate before you rebuild, in case you do not like the result. If you don't like the result, close iPhoto, then delete the rebuilt library and drag the duplicate back into the Pictures folder making sure the name is iPhoto Library. Launch iPhoto and it should open the library in the Pictures folder.

Can someone look at this code. I used EDGe to create the animation. Then imported to MUSE. I upload the HTML file to abode business catalyst site.. it' works... I upload to my godaddy hosting site... doesn't load... i created other pages and they work fine using the same work flow...

Help, please. GB won't load any previous projects.

I updated to Lion when it came out. Now I can't load any project in GB! All I get is an unhelpful message - This file cannot be opened. What'e the story? I have GB version 6.0.4 (427.84) What do I need to do?

I've reinstalled GB but no difference. I rebooted from my back up disk in Snow Leopard and everything works fine. It must be a problem with Lion.
It is very frustrating. I'm so used to things just working but now I'm regretting updating to Lion. Does anyone have an answer?

Help! My messages won't load. Screen is blue. Messages icon has an exclamation point on red background on it. How do I fix this? I have restarted and reset 4 times and nothing.

My niece "spammed" my phone with a bunch of the smiling poop emojis to shut down my messages.

You said you updated yur 1G iPod to 4.2.1. A 1G can only go to 3.1.3 and thus you must have jailbroken it to get to 4.2.1 and that can cause problems.

Have you tried disconnecting and re-connecting to your network ?. And when you say rebooted do you mean a reset ? If not then try that : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You could also try closing those apps completely. From the home screen (i.e. not with any of those apps 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iTunes, App Store and iBooks apps to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

My ipod touch 2nd Gen let me sign up to game center but it won't load any of my games and won't let me play with my friend. I don't know if it's like this because it is old and slow, or what. Please help me figure this out. Thank You.

Try:
- Sign out of Game Center and sign back in
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
