Help! My Wi-Fi won't connect!

I just bought the Droid Razrr Maxx and it won't allow me to connect to my wi-fi network at home. I typed in the correct password (even checked and double-checked) but my phone keeps saying the password is incorrect. How do I get this to work?????

my droid x will only connect with wep thru my older linksys wrt54g router, any other encryption won't connect, even with correct code.

I have solved many problems over the years with my 160gb iPod Classic but I can’t seem to work this one out.
My iPod itself is fine. It works properly, recharges fine, and I use it every day. However recentaly my Ipod Classic won’t connect to my PC via iTunes. When I connect it to iTunes it says “iTunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with ITunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod”. It also doesn’t appear to be recognised by Windows (Vista), it shows an iPod icon in “My Computer” however I am unable to look at it or go in to the drive.
I have tried to restore the iPod, which seems to finish, however when the “restored” iPod connects to iTunes I get the same message as above in iTunes. And when I turn on my iPod, all the files that were on it still remain, despite the attempted restore.
So, how can I get it to connect to iTunes?!?!? Any suggestions...?

Most likely your Hardisk is dying.
Do the iPod Disk Diagnostic as posted earlier by tt2, it wont fix your problem, but help in troubleshooting.

Help! External drive won't connect after Yosemite 10.10.2 update

I ran the Yosemite 10.10.2 update on my 2013 MacBook Air today, and now I cannot connect to my external Western Digital hard drive. At times, the drive won't connect or show up at all, but at other times, I get a warning that the computer cannot read or repair it. Help! It worked this morning and all of my photos are on there. I know other people have had similar issues, but I haven't found anything resembling a solution. (And yes, I have restarted everything, tried different cords, etc.) Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Help! Airport Express won't connect to just ONE website

Out of the blue, my AE has stopped allowing me access to just ONE WEBSITE. I've always had access to this site before. Specifics:
1) If I plug the ethernet cable directly into the laptop, I can access the site
2) If I'm on an outside wireless network in my area or on a different wireless router, I can also access the site, no problem.
3) So, the problem seems to be with the AE connection. Yet, all other sites are accessible. It's just ONE that won't connect. But unfortunately it's a site that I need to use every day, so I can't just forget about it.
What I've already tried:
1) I've done both a hard reset and factory default reset of the AE unit, and I am still experiencing the same problem.
2) Have unplugged/replugged in the modem/cable/AE unit.
3) I can not manually reset my IP address because my ISP randomly assigns it.
Can anyone help? I need to use this site every day and I don't understand what has suddenly caused it to stop working.

Sometimes changing to the Open DNS settings will solve an issue like this.
Open Airport Utility, click Manual Setup and click the Internet icon.
Make note of your current DNS Servers in case you need to return to them.
Try these numbers for DNS Servers:
208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

Help!! iTunes won't connect

I click on the iTunes store button and it won't load and then something pops up that says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection timed out." My internet is fine, it is working i can access web pages, there is no firewall blocking it, i run the diagnostic and it still doesn't work... HELP please!

Egonporter, most likely it's an issue with something on your computer blocking iTunes from connecting. Problems connecting to the iTunes Store often stem from issues with the Windows firewall or a firewall in a router, a privacy filter (such as McAfee Internet Privacy Service or Norton Internet Security), an antivirus/antispyware utility, or a download accelerator. Start here:
iTunes for Windows: Overview of Music Store Errors
for some basic tips to start isolating the cause of the problem. What you need to do is temporarily disable any such service and see if that fixes the problem. If so, then if it's a firewall/Internet filter that's causing the problem and you'll need to set the offending service to allow iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store. Note that a firewall in an external router, if you have one, also needs to be checked.

I have a new PC (using windows 7 ....didn't like windows 8) and want to sync with my iTunes account to access apps as well as sync my iPad and iPhone. I've authorized the new PC on iTunes but it won't recognize it. I have removed the old pc from my authorized list. My iPad says it can't sync because my old PC is 'unavailable'. How do I proceed? Help! New Nano won't connect to computer

Hope someone can help!
We bought a Nano yesterday, unfortunately haven't been able to load anything onto it as yet. The story so far:
We have downloaded itunes and set up an account. When we plug in the device the message on the ipod screen rotates between 'Connected / Ejecting / OK to disconnect' and occasionally a windows error messages pops up 'USB device not recognised - device malfunctioned'
I know it's not the computer as I've got an itunes account and my ipod is always recognised, and I've tried both USB cables with my ipod which works fine. We've also tried rebooting the Nano by holding down the Menu and middle key together, unfortunately this doesn't work either.
Has anybody got any ideas before I take it back to the store?

And welcome to Apple Discussions.
First, I would try manually putting the iPod into [Disk Mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363] and then reconnecting it to your computer to see if that helps.
Otherwise, I would work through each and every one of the troubleshooting solutions provided below in this Apple support document. It sounds like you might have tried a few already, but make sure to attempt each one. Hope it helps.

Help! iPhone 4 won't connect to Apple TV (2nd gen)

I just got a new ATV today and everything seems to be working. It's able to connect to iTunes and play songs and movies and display pictures. I'm trying to set up my iPhone 4 as a remote, but am having some issues. The Apple TV shows up in the list of libraries, but when I select it, the animated "thinking" icon shows up on the right but keeps going and never connects.
Any suggestions on how to get around this? Any help would be appreciated.

There are reports of network issues only after adding the new ATV to the network wirelessly. Personally my iPhone 4 works pretty well but at times might become sluggish.
As for the two libraries that is correct. Its detecting iTunes on your computer and the ATV. What you select depends on what you want to do.
Select Apple TV if you wanting to use the iPhone as a touch remote to directly control movement and selection while viewing the ATV interface on your screen and want complete access to ATV2 features.
Select Apple TV then select a computer *from the list on the iPhone* to browse iTunes library content on the iPhone but have it playback music and videos on the TV. This is for music, music videos and movies in your iTunes Library only.
Select computer instead of Apple TV to browse iTunes library content on the iPhone. Select Apple TV as the Remote Speaker from the iPhone interface. Audio will play through ATV or stereo depending on how your audio is hooked up. Music album art and info will display on TV. This is best for when you just want to listen to music. Its also the only way that allows you to control the volume directly from your iPhone.

Help! My iPod won't connect to ANY computer.

I Recently replaced my iPod and got a new one. Out of the box, this one will not connect to any of my computers. It does not even charge. I have tried different cables, but that is not the issue. How can I fix this? Can I at all? By the way, I just got this one yesterday at an Apple store in Brandon, Fl if that helps.

Do you have iTunes 10.7 or later on the computers? That is required.

Help! Safari / Firefox won't connect to internet on WiFi?!

I can't connect to internet using WiFi from Safari OR Firefox from my home WiFi (Apple WiFi router.)
Here are weird facts:
- They both work from this laptop at home using Ethernet
- They both worked at AppleStore WiFI today
- Internet at home is fine from other MacBook, iPad and 2 iPhones
AppleStore guy reset a lot of Safari and network settings, suggesting that would fix anything, but it still does not work from this laptop at home over WiFi?!
Any ideas?!

Thanks, Linc. FYI, I don't believe I've installed any new 3rd pary items for some time (although some of them may have updated to newer versions more recently?)

FYI, I've been considering updating to Lion OS. Would that a) help me with this situation, and/or b) cause me other new problems?!

Help my native apps won't connect to internet

*Cannot Verify Sever Identity
*none of my native apps will connect to the internet youtube/facebook/twitter.......
*my alarm dosent work
I'm on the internet now, so there's nothing wrong with the internet, but if I have the option to use the app insted of the web version I just get a blank screen.
I has some developer profiles installed so I have deleted them but think its a var/mobile/library/catches/com.apple-plist problem?
Or system/private/TelephonyUI.....
Please help as I'm just going around in circuls

Need Help, my Ipod Nano won't connect and sync with ituens

So I downloaded the most recient itunes update the other night, and now my ipod nano will not sync with itunes. My computer when I search devies and printer shows in devies as (apple ipod USB device, and for unspecified devices Apple Moble Device USB Driver), and I have tried other ipods around the house and they will sync with my itunes with no problem.... also another thing is that if I close the itunes and try to reopen itunes with my nano is pluged in it will not open. But when I remove this particular Ipod, and try to reopen itunes ill will open.
I have tried redownloading itunes a million times, used different USBs, restored itunes to new, and restarted ipod, and have restarted the computer a million times.
Why is it that this one nano will no longer link to itunes so that I can update my music on it. Please any one begging you, I am loosing my mind a patiences. Anyone help me please, I just want to update my music on this ipod.
How can one ipod no longer sync????

I saw in one thread related to this that you have to make sure that the process "iTunes Helper" is running when you have your iPod connected. You can see that by running Activity Monitor, select All Processes, and then look for iTunes Helper. Based on everything else you tried, there could be a physical problem with your Nano. One of the pin connections may be bad. Will it show up on another Mac's iTunes?

Please help. My wifi won't connect anymore

My wifi was working fine but now I get an exclamation ! At the end of any wifi address including my home one. It will not connect to any wifi including the cloud and keeps coming up asking for a Phobos.apple.com name and password which I don't have. Having to use 3G continually. I'm not very techy so I haven't changed any settings. Please advise in really easy to understand terms.

Restart your WiFi router and then your iPad.
To reset your iPad, simultaneously press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.

I recently picked up a 40gb iPod Photo, and I have connected it twice to put my iTunes library on it, and it worked fine, but now when I connect it, my computer freezes (once I disconnect, it immediately unfreezes). What should I do?

First step of troubleshooting for me would be to make sure you have the latest updates of all softwares and that your windows is up to date. First, visit the microsoft website and check to see if your computer needs any windows updates. Also, make sure you have Service pack 2 if you have Windows XP, or Service Pack 4 if you have Windows 2000.
Once you are certain that you have your windows software updated, download and install the latest updates for itunes and ipod if you do not have them.
Once you have all softwares updated, it's time to look at your drivers and directx

ok so my ipod was working just fine until a few days ago and now when i plugg my ipod into itunes it is saying that it doesn't recognize it and is asking me if i want to restore my ipod. I can't restore my ipod because i don't have my music backed up...is there any way what so ever that if i restore my ipod i can get my music back???

First try repairing iPod using chkdsk on the drive letter allocated to the iPod. There are programs around which allow you to copy your song files from the iPod to a PC (do a google search or search the apple discussions to find them). One you've got a safe copy on the PC - which you've backed up. Then go ahead and restore (which will wipe your iPod).

Help! MacBook Pro won't connect to home wifi but will connect to other networks. Others can connect to my home network. I've tried diagnostics, resetting the router, restarting my computer, and forgetting the network and then trying to access it. Nothing works.
