Help N91 PC suite problem connectivity

I need help. My N91 does not want to connect to my PC suite program using the USB cable. It started when I downloaded used the Nokia Software Updater because my phone had problems of in where you can't do anything while a sending txt messages. Before downloading the new Software updates for my phone I backed up my messages and contacts through PC suite both in my PC and laptops. However after downloading the update the PC suite it wont recognize and connect the phone to my PC suite. But if i use Mass Storage mode and when I use my phone as a modem it works. I also downloaded the newer version of PC suite 6.80 version still didnt work. I tried downloading the data cable driver still didnt work. Tried reinstalling the PC suite still didnt work. I only uninstalled didnt delete the File folders because I scared it might delete the Back uped contacts and messages... I dont knw what to do anymore... I thinking of reinstallin the phone software. Will that help? Someone help me since I really havea allot of contacts and I really need them back pls... Urgent.

Hi All,
Hope someone can help with the process of updating the software on N91. Have downloaded PC Suite onto PC, when started, the horizontal barberpole just sits there ( 20 min +) . Have unlocked firewalls, reinstalled software, said prayers - the works. Any help before there's a dent in the wall next to the window ??

1) PC Suite 6
2) PC Suite cleaner 3.5
3) Software upgrader.
4) Cable driver software.
5) Load PC suite, and connect with cable, if ok go to 7)
6) If cable doesn't work run 4) above , repeat step 5, if not ok run 2), then go to 5)
7) Run 3)
8) Run PC suite, and connect with cable, if ok go to 10)
9) If cable doesn't work run 4) above , repeat step 5, if not ok run 2), then go to 5)
10) Run Software upgrader, should load in Version 2

Problem connecting N8 to internet via Talk Talk ro...

Could somebody help me resolve my problem connecting nokia N8 to internet via Talk Talk router with WEP. I have just updated my Nokia’s software and now I can use an internet because I’m getting error. I can connect to the router, there is a status “connected” but then the internet not working. I would appreciate if somebody would have given some clue how to fix that.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
Have you tried deleting your current access point setting and creating it again? You can do this by navigating to Menu > Tools > Settings > Connections > Access Points. Select your WLAN access point, delete it and create a new one following these instructions.
If this does not fix the issue, you can try to soft reset your phone and WLAN router.
Dial *#7780# to soft reset your device, this will return the phone to factory settings without removing any personal data. Even though your data should not be affected by the reset, it is a good idea to back up your phone first using Nokia Suite. As for your router, please refer to the manual on how to reset it.

Ovi Suite/ PC Suite USB Connection Problem

I had problem connecting the phone through USB selecting either PC Suite mode and Media Transfer mode, (the phone will display the USB logo beside the battery status for a few seconds if i select the modes mentioned above, then the logo will go missing as if no USB connection, can't browse the files through Windows Explorer and the Ovi Suite didn't detect the phone)
however i can connect through Mass Storage mode and browse the mass storage and also view images in Image Transfer mode
P.S. previously it is working normal, but today it started to act like that
may i know what is the problem?

To use your phone as a modem to connect a compatible PC to web.
Install the Nokia Suite to your PC. The latest Nokia Suite includes the compatible drivers.
Connect the data cable and select Connect PC to Web. The confirmation is displayed: Connect PC to web mode activated.
When the necessary Windows software is installed to your PC, accept the installation. If asked, accept the connection as well and the internet browser of your PC will open.
Check the connection settings (Internet Access Point) from your phone for your PC. Select Web > Options > Settings > General > Access point.

N900 PC SUITE / OVI SUITE Problems. Need help.

I am having big issues with conecting my N900 to my PC. Had a long list of troubles uninstalled everything after expeirencing Driver issues on to get Phone parent issues after re install. went through it all again and downloaded latest version of PC Suite 7 from nokia site and it's been installing for 2 hours now and is stuck at 32%.
Really frustrating just upgraded from E75 which worked perfectly with OVI Suite. now i have N900 that i can't back up or update. Non of the solutions i've read on the board have helped, i'm now into day five of uninstalling - re installing and downloading. Doeas anyone have a solid fix for this soon to be thrown out the window N900 ?

Surprise surprise USB Phone Parent (no file located) !!! So disapointed, Somebody at Nokia must be able to offer a Solution. Without PC connectivity the N900 is just a very expesive Brick.
Firstly i live in the poorest contry in Africa so when i paid over 1000 USD for the phone i was annoyed that it had a chrging problem as many people have had i notice from the boards. I go to Europe and take it to a Nokia shop, I am told "no we can't fix it it must be done in the country you bought it". Well thats kinda impossible as Nokia have no facilities in Mozambique, so another 800 USD trip to South Africa to get it repaired.
Secondly Absolutely no assistance from nokia with the PC connectivity issue for either OVI or PC Suite.
I knew the iPhone was the smart choice ! anybody wanna buy a 1000USD Brick OR Help me resolve the PC connectivity issue?

I sloved this issue by resting my phone from settings>general>reset>reset all settings...the problem will be fixed

Thank you for your suggestion but I have already had a couple of phone sessions with NETGEAR support and they don't see any problems with the router settings etc. They referred me to Apple support, who helped me discover that it is possible to communicate with the router but only if I turn off the encryption/security software, which I don't want to do. The frustrating thing is that I can connect wirelessly from a laptop running Windows 7 and two Anroid smart phones, with WPA-2 in place, without a problem. Do you have any other ideas?

I have a newer model HP Photosmart Plus (Print/Scan/Copy/Web)
Keep getting this error message. Have pressed Retry, have exited and tried again. No results. Have shut off/unplugged/restarted printer and computer several times, but this keeps popping up as soon as I press "Apps". All I can access is "quick forms", and they don't print correctly (layouts are strange). Anyone know how to fix this?

Serious problem connecting from handset - Help!!!!!

I�ve developed an J2ME App. wich communicates with a remote web site (Tomcat server with Apache & MySQL server). The App. client side consist basically of a MIDlet wich handles the UI navigation & an support class wich do the real work calling the Servlet servicess and passing parameters to it. The Servlet queryes de MySQL DB. and return data to de client wich are showed in lists, forms, etc.
My system works fine using the java WTK22, accessing the web site via internet but, when I try with my real "Sony Ericsson - K300a", nothig happens (no errors and data = 'null').
Trying to capture errors, I can see that, when the execution is from the WTK22 the Servlet receives the input parameters and works fine. On the other hand, when I try from de K300a the Server log doen�t show nothig so, I suspect that the problem source is a connection problem.
I�m not posting code here because the good WTK22 execution but, if somebody need it, I�ll post it also.
Please, help me with this problem. A real proyect depends on it!!!!

3) Going back to your previous questions about my connection modes (wap, http, etc) let me tell you that I�m not sure now wath I�m doing. The mater is that I live in Argentina and there are only three providers here.
Today I was speaking with a provider representative (from PERSONAL) and he say me that the only mode that the three providers works here is using WAP/GPRS. I cannot beleave it!!!!. If so, It could be a desaster for me(and for J2ME here,also).
I was searching the forums trying to find this kind of things and really there are a lor of people having problems like this. Some of them were resolved and the sollution was to put some settings in the phone such as "APN Settings" to bypass WAP mode. Now, my questions are:

Using a cradle with the Tungsten E2? Tried bypassing the cradle and just use the hotsync cable? Tried a different computer yet? Somehow, the PC is having problems getting a signal from the device. I assume you have the laptop charger plugged into the laptop during this? Not going through a docking station or port-replicator.
One crazy thing you can try is unplug the charger from your laptop, remove the battery from the laptop and leave it out for like 10mins and put it back in and reboot the laptop. This should not cause side effects but still contact your OEM to make sure that nothing else is needed after leaving the battery out for extended period of time. Keep me posted.
