[help] nautilus text thumbnails is blank
I'm running Arch64 with gnome desktop environment
thumbnails for text file is blank.
after I remove thumbnail cache, it's still blank.
thumbnails for other files works fine.
I have ask this question in local Arch forum, search in google and this forum, but no answer.
which program create thumbnails for text file? is it ooo? or nautilus itself? or other?
and why is thumbnails for text file blank?
i don't think theme have something to do with it.
thumbnails for text file is like this. and the file is not blank and the head of it is not empty line.
i am using Faenza icon theme.
and i have got an answer:
create files : gnome-fs-regular.png, text-x-preview.png, gtk-file.png
in icon theme's mimetye folder.(you will see folder like 48x48, scalable. )
the content of these file almost the same:

EmbeddedTextRectangle=22,28,106,118
the four numbers are left-top and right-bottom of the Rectangle, so they may be different for different size of the Rectangle.
after you do that you will see preview for text file
but however i adjust these four numbers, the preview i get is outside of the icon. and i don't know why.

No, the new iPods do not have a camera adaptor able to do this. Why Apple have decided not to make a suitable adaptor available (the old one won't work with the Classic), I have no idea. -

Movie thumbnails are blank on webpage but play okay
I am using iWeb 08 and am very pleased except for one thing. My movie thumbnails are blank. They have a little icon in the corner and they play okay but there is no picture (except on one of them)

The third text field is blank, and I would like for the radio button next to it greyed out (user can't click on it) since the text field is blank. Is this possible to achieve? I'm assuming I'll have to use javascript, but what would the code be and would it be entered in the javascript editor for the text field or the radio button?

Text Field is Blank in Transaction F-28
Hi Experts,
There is a requirement to add to the current layout the text field in F-28 transaction code. However, when I add them as an administrator, The text field is blank. We already maintained the text field in both Accounting Document Line item and in the Invoice but still the text field is blank. Where can we find the value of text field in the documents shown in F-28. Are there any configuration to do this?Ok. Currently they had this problem on tagging which Invoices to be considered for payment clearance in tcode F-28. Their current process is every Ship-To-Party, they also equate it as one project code with the location of the project information,etc. They are using this ever since the first implementation. So in their process, they go to FBL5N to check those invoices created before going to F-28. In FBL5N, I incorporated the text field there (filled by user-exit display) which also came from the accounting document. But it's not correct since they are using the ship-to-party value in F-28.
So we tested by manual input directly the Ship-To-Party Code to Acc Doc Line Item Text Field. It went to FBL5N, as showing the value there but in F-28 it is not showing.
Do you have any solution for this? Since during payment in F-28, I think these entries are already Acc Doc Entries and Ship-To-Party is not reflected here but Payer only (coming from the invoice). -
BEx Wad 7.0 displays key instead of text when text value is blank

I have a query which behaves differently in BEx Analyzer and in a Web Template. I have a characteristic which is set to display text and key. The key is "100" and the text field is not filled out in the text table of the characteristic for key value "100".
In BEx Analyzer, the text field shows a blank value. However, in WAD the text field displays the key which is "100". I need to display the text field as blank in WAD, but it seems like this is not possible. Do you know a way to achieve this?
I need to export to Excel from WAD, so I guess javascript will not be a proper solution.

After an iphoto update, half of my thumbnails went blank. How do I get them to reappear?
make a temporary backup of the library and launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed to rebuild the library. Select the option to rebuild the photos' small thumbnails .

I cannot copy whole text anymore. It will highlight just one paragraph, and if I go for the whole text, it goes blank. I have the 10.6.8 version.

Try testing that issue out within a new user on your Mac. If it does the same thing, then you will need to reinstall Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Nautilus calculates thumbnails for images (if you want this) and saves them under ~/.thumbnails to improve the performance the next time you view the folder.
Nautilus is clever enough to get the ExIF thumbnails of JPEGs taken by a »modern« digital camera. Unfortunately it also copies these thumbnails to ~/.thumbnails which leads to a very poor performance (compared to just displaying the thumbs) and wasted free disk space. Is there a way to prevent nautilus from »extracting« the thumbs? Any gconf-switches? Any ideas (except of don't use Nautilus I like the way it's integrated in the GNOME-Environment)?
HannesFor movies I use the imdb-thumbnailer tool (it's in AUR). If I look in the source for the code that registers the thumbnailer, I find this:

Mac Help in Finder comes up blank
Whenever I go into the Finder and choose Help, the Help window comes up totally blank. If I enter a question, the results show nothing.
I only have this problem on my G4 PowerBook, so I usually use my tower, but when I am not home it is a pain.
Is there a way just to reinstall the Help files?

My previous 12" pBook (also returned for quality issues, natch) had, as I recall, a working Apple Help function in finder until I partitioned the drive and re-installed Tiger. Thereafter, no Apple Help. I tried copying Help files and Help App across from a working PB system but to no avail.
The current one has been upgraded to 10.4.4 and I still have nothing in the Apple help.
Alas the workaround above does not help either. If you access help from another App, then hit the Home button to get the Apple Help home page, none of the topic links is active.

PLEASE HELP anchored text boxes corrupted CS5
I have a book I've been working on for some time that is close to final. It has anchored text boxes in the sidebar that flow with the text and is being edited in an IC assignment environment. I made semi-final edits to it yesterday and exported a PDF, but when I started scrolling through the pages, I noticed that whole pages of the content were blank. The stories were still flowing as if there was text on the blank pages, but there were no text boxes to select and it was intermitten through the whole document. Thinking the layout file was corrupt, I exported to IDML and opened that. It recovered almost identical to the other file and now all the anchored text boxes are completely locked. I can no longer select them to edit the text or move them. I tried unlinking the IC stories, still locked. I tried going back to a version of the ID file from before I made the edits--figuring the edits would be preserved in the stories and I could just reedit the layout, but while I've managed to recover the pages of content that had gone blank, my anchored text boxes are still completely locked. Does anyone have any suggestions. This book was nearly final and I have a hard deadline.

I do have ID CS5.5 on another computer. Do you think it would be worth trying to convert the file to the newer version and then back to CS5?OK, I've completely severed all connection to IC. Anchored boxes are still locked. I exported the whole thing to IDML again and opened that. Anchored boxes are still locked. I copied the text out of the story into a new blank document and the anchored text boxes are still locked. They show little locks on the frames. Is there a way to lock anchored text boxes without locking the story? If there is, maybe there's a way to unlock them? I'm just wondering if some option I don't know about was accidentally applied.

Need help making javascript thumbnail gallery function in javascript tab menu

I have implemented a css/javascript tab menu on one of my html pages thanks to Chris Coyier (http://css-tricks.com/learning-jquery-fading-menu-replacing-content/), and within one of the tabs, which I labeled GALLERY, I am trying to place a thumbnail gallery curtosy of Trent (http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/).
Before trying to place it in the menu, I made the gallery on a seperate html page to make sure that I could get it to work. It does. But when I place it in the menu it shows up on page load under the content of the first tab (labeled TOUR) and not in the gallery tab. In addition, once I click on the "gallery" tab the other tabs stop showing their content. I feel like I am missing something obvious. But I just can't figure out what. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

I see the ^M on the end of the lines ... but i dont understand why im getting the blank lines
in between each entry ... I printed "HHHH" just to help with debugging ... anyone have any ideas why i am getting the extra blank lines?
