Help need to get a fully functioning 3050A ALL-IN-ONE with a 110-303NA computer

I have recently swapped over to a new computer, a HP110-303NA PENG2030T/8GB/1TB 2C14 and I am having problems connecting my HP 3050A ALL-IN-ONE J611 series printer. It says that - The Operating System of this computer is not supported. This software can only be installed on computers running the following Windows Operating Systems (1) Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or better (32 bit only) (2) Windows Vista (3) Windows 7. Upgrade the Operating System of this computer or install this software on another computer system.
As I have a new computer running Windows 8, I thought there would be no problem. The printer works, but I am unable to use the scanner. Help.

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @Majick
It seems as though you need the driver for Windows 8 to run the installation for your Deskjet 3050a. The installation disk most likely does not include the drivers for Windows 8, which could be why you are having a problem.

HP Deskjet 3050A All-in-One J611 Series - getting exact driver to download

I need to download a driver for my (per printer label) "HP Deskjet 3050A All-in-One J611 Series" -- but at hp.com, see listed only J611-Series models with postfixed abc letters "a" to "k" ... and one w/o a postfixed abc letter, but that lacks "J611" in its model name.
Also, my printer label does not prefix "e-" to the printer name.
Would the driver for "J611-a" work with my printer?
Or the driver for "HP Deskjet 3050A All-in-One" that lacks "J611"?

I have this procedure where i have to modify the current procedure in the following manner:
I need to get rid of the variables p_start and p_end so that i cannot see them in the crystal report and include the Frequency in the procedure to get the Data based on the Dates.
and Main requirement is" If the Frequency is Quarterly " it should get the previous quarter Data, if "Frequency is monthly" it should return the previous month data.Can anyone please let me know where shud i make changes. Am including the procedure for refernce. Any help is appreciated

Where (text area, label, button) do you want it to do it.
What do you want it do (browse within the local text area, open the default browser...)
Text area, use above, JButton (or alike) and open default browser, use ActionListener and JDIC.

I know it appears odd that Table B would have two entries for the same Asset (CTUT111), but it does.
I know I could write a SQL query that gave me the MAX(CheckIn_Date), but I’m not staging these datasets in a SQL server first.
I’m pulling directly from CSV tables.
I don’t want to have bridge tables either, if possible.
So, I’m left with a many-to-many situation in Power Pivot.
I want to add a Calculated Column to Table A, called ‘Latest CheckIn Date’ – which I get from Table B, matching on Serial Number.
So, when I’m done, I would expect the value for Asset=CTUT111 to be 6/20/2014 (since it’s the MAX of a value of dates)
I’m trying this pattern from Marco Russo in which you don’t need to relate two tables to exchange information, but it doesn’t appear to be working.

Help needed to get started

Hi I am very new to Solaris and had not even seen what a UNIX screen looks before. The sys admin person left so it is all upto me to take care of the systems. That is a good thing, I'll learn, but I need some help. I have a brand new Sun V880 box sitting in the box. I have to install Solaris 10 & then Oracle 10g on it.
As I mentioned, I am very new to the world of Solaris. I don't even know how and where to get Solaris installable CD and whether I need license. Also I know that Solaris installation is not like XP that I just run setup.exe.
Could someone please guide me as where and how do I get started. I don't want anyone to do my work, but I need guidance. I know about Oracle 10g CD's but could someone tell me how do I begin with Solaris 10.

you can download the solaris 10 install iso's directly from sun (look under products). as far as the licensing goes, read the aup. i strongly suggest getting a book on unix basics, unix security, and another on administration. unix can be very complicated to learn how to setup and secure properly. i dont want to discourage you, but you are going to need to spend a fair amount of time on this one (learning what everything is, device names, services, package system, etc).

Help needed to get my free CS6 upgrade

Hi fellow Photoshop users, I like others made the forced late 2011 CS4 to CS5 upgrade. Now I have seen where Adobe revised their policy about upgrading qualifications. I feel that I am warranted a free upgrade to CS6 because I was informed it was manditory at the time. Please reply back with stratgey to get Adobe to comply. I have opened support cases only to have Adobe close the cases without any reason or information. Thanks!

I am really disappointed in how Adobe handled the upgrades for the CS6 Photoshop. It is all really unfair... and I do really feel "coerced"
I was told 5 weeks or so ago that I could not upgrade from CS4 to CS6 without upgrading first to CS5. NOT in 2011... just a few weeks ago.
I knew I wanted CS6 as I had purchased the CS4 Masters Collection a couple of years back.(for thousands of dollars)
So...in order to upgrade I purchased a legal boxed CS5 upgrade disc on Amazon for $179. But when I tried to upgrade I it would not take because I was upgrading from a Collection. I hadn't realized that I would need to purchase a CS5 Collection upgrade. I hardly ever used ANY of the other programs outside of Dreamweaver and I really didn't need any Dreamweaver updates for what I do. But I went ahead and bought a smaller Collection CS5 upgrade that included both Photoshop and Dreamweaver as well as a couple of other programs that I will probably never even open, for $519.00!!!
Luckily I knew a friend who was also using CS4 and he said he would buy the Photoshop CS5 upgrade from me for $150. I wasn't happy to lose the $29 plus shipping but such is life. A week later, my friend called and said he hadn't installed the upgrade and that NOW...because of a uproar among Photoshop CS4 users, Adobe was allowing a straight CS4 to CS6 upgrade and that he would return my disc to me. :-(
So now I have spent some $698 dollars and I still only have a trial version of CS6 and and a legal CS4>CS5 upgrade disc that nobody wants or needs anymore.
Today my CS6 Trial expired. I do like it and I want it, but I have already put out a considerable sum of money trying to get it. I have been putting off dealing with this because it is surely a total PIA... I really feel I have been ripped-off on this.
Now it looks like I am supposed to put out another $199 to upgrade my CS5 to CS6... So ultimately I would be paying $897 to upgrade to Photoshop CS6... the ONLY program I really wanted to upgrade to begin with. (actually probably more because they will probably want me to freaking upgrade to a CS6 Collection update for another outrageous amount... )
I am surprised that Adobe would treat long time customers so poorly... as Mylenium suggest they should... and Sidney Brock says has occurred.

Where do I find the websites stored as my homepage and how do I select one of them if I need to get just it back and not all of them?

I have three websites as my homepage, but often once I have worked within one tab for awhile and gone to other sites, I need to get back to the site that is there when my homepage tabs first pop up. I may not have even touched the other two tabs, but if I click on the Home button, I get three new tabs with the three websites that make up my homepage. I then have to delete three tabs to keep just what I want. In IE, the Home button has a pulldown, which allows me to select any one of my homepage websites, and loads that site on the current tab. Can this be done with FF?

The only way I know to achieve this would be to create three separate bookmarks on the Bookmarks toolbar and click on a one that you want to load in the current tab. You can also try to right-click the Back arrow and click the entry at the bottom of the list to return to the first page.

Do I need to download drivers for an HP 8600 all in one printer after upgrading to Mavericks from Mountain Lion?

I am about to upgrade my Mac's OS from Mountain Lion to Mavericks. I recently networked to my Mac on our home wireless network an HP 8600 all in one printer/scanner and an HP LaserPro 127. I saw a note posted in a non-Apple forum stating that the Mavericks upgrade should include the drivers needed to run these products on Mavericks. Is that correct or will I need to download a new set of drivers from HP after I upgrade to Mavericks?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

How to get rid of dupe music icons on iPhone, one with cloud, one without?

After getting a replacement iPhone, restoring from backup, and re-syncing, I have dupe entries for every song on the phone. One has a cloud icon and one doesn't. These weren't there before! What happened, and how can I get rid of all these dupes (there are thousands)?
-- I don't see dupes in my library, nor on my iPad, nor in "On This iPhone" from iTunes... just on the phone itself.
-- The dupes exist even after syncing.
-- I tried deleting all music storage on the phone and re-syncing, but I still wind up with dupes, one with the cloud and one without.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unsync the music from the phone. the songs with clouds are 'itunes in the cloud' which you download from the cloud server
the reason you don't see them in 'on this iphone' is that they're not technically on the phone nor are they taking up capacity yet
when you unsync your music, the songs with clouds should remain. you download them by tapping the clouds

Need driver (*.inf) files for HP OfficeJet 5610 All-in-one

I am setting up a print server and it needs *.inf driver files for my HP OfficeJet 5610 All-in-one printer. Where can i find them? I've installed the drivers on my PC, but they come as *.exe files that will not extract to give the *.inf files. Can anyone help?

Hello, First I would like to say that I dont like what HP does, I dont want all your software cloging up my computer. What I want if for the hardware I have purchased from you to work the way I want to. Nothing more nothing less. Please give your customers the chance to pick the software they want and not fill up the pc with trash.
PlanoStar You will find the x86 inf file in the Windows XP Package, it about an 68mb download, just extract EP-CDB-enu_NB.exe using Winrar.
And ofcourse after the hours spent, with HP trolling you, you would think you are done. Think again. Microsoft will pick up the tradition with some Install x86 Medea ntprint.inf BS. to solve this problem download the files needed from here.
It will save you hours instead of mounting AIO images and whatever.
Ps. I have just registered with HP with the sole reason of making this post, and I would just like to say that hp support is rubbish.

I am trying to building a small application which should give me the following functionality.
My main function should span two windows. One window(1) will be receiving the input from the user and after the user enter a string and press the OK butten, the other window(2) should display this string and first window should set unvisible.
To have this function working my window(2) should wait for the window(1) ActionPerform event complete and receive the message from it.
Can any of you please help me getting some hints or sample codes for this action to be done.

Not sure what you are suggesting is what I am looking to do. I believe with your example here that I would need to create a new item table in my current DB in order to recall this data. This table would be populated with the items I selected (checkbox) from the original page. This is one solution, but the issue is that this is dynamic and these values would change as a new search is generated or different values are selected.
Is there anyway in which to make (code) in ApEx so as that the values (i.e. P1_items 123 : 234 : 456) (note that these items are defaulted to colon delimitation by ApEx) are properly formatted so as SQL can read them as independent items. Note if I simply rewrite the original SQL script and replace the :P1_item with generic values (123 , 234 , 456) the SQL operates as intended.

we need help regading java web start. We are downloadng some set of jar files to the client side using JNLP. With these jar files jnlp launches a swing base application in the client side and interacts with server application depoyed in WebSphere. In order to launch this application IBM Jre is needed in the client side. But IBM Jre can not install in non IBM meachines. So, we planing to make jar file of Jre and download it along with the rest of the jar files. After that we want to install in some directory in the client meachine and use that JRE to launch application. Now we are couple of problems with this approach.
1) To extract the Jre from the jar file we need the path, where these jars are downloaded.Even though we know the path "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\IBM\Java\Deployment\cache" we can't hard code this, because user may change this location. The extraction program of this jar file in the client side is in one of the jar file that is downloaded. But here in the it is not able to recongnize relative path. So what we need is, is there any api to get this location of this path.
2)Second, In order to launch the application with downloaded Jre we need to set the classpath for jars that are downlaoded with Jnlp. But after downloading these jar files to the client side they are renamed(prefixed with RM and RT). Now, how to set the classpath to these jar files.
Here instead of JNLP if we use applet our problem will be solved. But we can't use applet because of client requirements.
Anybody, please try to suggest me some thing with this problem.
