HELP!!Need to import and print vector drawings

I am trying this topic again in the hope of help. I need to
import drawings in a vector format for printing. These drawings
will be cast members not sprites. I have tried printing a swf
version via Printomatic but it cannot print Flash members. My
questions are:
1. Is therre any way to print a swf cast member (not a
sprite)
2. How can I import an EPS file? - I have heard that it can
be done but every version I have tried seems to fail

Haven't used it for a while but it works pretty good.
Downside is that it creates multiple members because Director
can't
(couldn't?) handle multiple-line vector members.

Help needed with MMAPI and print values to screen

Hi,
Using the RingToneConverter, I want to print out the values to the screen that the ring tone has. The values I want printed are actually any values at all! I am not picky at this point!
Can anyone help with this? I would like it so that while the ringtone is playing the the "simple player", the values are somewhere on screen appearing. Or even after the song is finished, the values come up on screen.

Help needed with header and upload onto business catalyst

Can someone help with a problem over a header please?
I have inserted a rectangle with a jpeg image in background, in the 'header' section, underneath the menu. It comes up fine on most pages when previsualised, going right to the side of the screen, but stops just before the edge on certain pages. I have double checked that I have placed it in the right place in relation to the guides on the page.
That's one problem.
The second problem is that I tried to upload onto business catalyst, which got to 60% and refused to go any further, saying it couldn't find the header picture, giving the title and then u4833-3.fr.png. The picture is in the right folder I have double checked. And it isn't a png. Does it have to be ?
And the third problem is that I got an email following my upload from business catalyst in Swedish. I am living in France.

How can I check the preview in other browsers before I publish a provisional site with BC?
The rectangle width issue happens on certain pages but not others. The Welecom page is fine when the menu is active, also the contact page, but others are slightly too narrow. Changing the menu spacing doesn’t help - I was already on uniform but tried changing to regular and back.
In design mode the rectangle is set to the edge of the browser, that’s 100%browser width right?
Re BC I have about 200 images on 24 different pages and it seems to be having difficulty uploading some of them. But it has managed a couple I named with spaces but not others I named with just one name.
Is there an issue on size of pictures ? If I need to replace is there a quick way to rename and relink or do I have to insert the photos all over again?
I’m a novice with Muse with an ambitious site !

Answering the questions :
- Have you checked the preview in Muse and also in other browsers ?
- Does the rectangle width issue happens when menu is active , or in any specific state , Try to change the menu with uniform spacing and then check.
- In design view the rectangle is set to 100% browser width ?
With publishing :
- Please try to rename the image file and then relink
- If it happens with other images as well , see if all the image names includes strange characters or spaces.
- Try again to publish
With e-mail from BC :
- Under preferences , please check the country selected.
- If you have previously created partner account in BC and selected country and language then it would follow that, please check that.

Help needed in importing application - Urgent

Hi,
I am new fairly new to apex and would be grateful for any help....
I have an application that i would like to import and install... but i am obtaining an error...
Situation is as follows:
Application in machine A with oracle 10g standard and apex 3.0. Workspace is portal, schema is status_portal...
export is working fine.
Need to import it to machine B with oracle 10g and apex 3.0 Workspace is
online_portal, schema is portal
Import also works fine...
But when i try to install the imported application, i get following error:
ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. Help Needed to import package

Hi, I am developing a JAVA project following Graphical Editing Framework in Eclipse.
I have 3 packages ( in order of build) - ProcessModel, Process Editor and Application.
I am trying to import application package and use its class in Process Model. But I am getting compile time error " the import cheme.application can not be resolved" .
I assume this error is coming because Application package and its classes are not compiled and hence it is not allowing me to import and use them.
package cheme.ProcessModel.Interpreter;
import cheme.Application.*; // I have tried importing one class also
As suggested in some other posts, I have added the CLASSPATH variable with the folder address of Application package.

Please help: Need an import 'action'

Hi,
I'm trying to make life 'easy' in our household for getting pictures into Aperture 3, but I'm at a complete loss as to how to achieve this - it seems Apple offer great flexibility on export, but little on import.
What I want to do, is when importing from a CF card (in Canon format), put the images in:
Project (Year)
Folder (Month)
Album (Day)
I have previously exported to this folder structure, and the 'Projects and Folders' import then created the above - however, there's no way to automatically import into this structure from the CF reader.
Is there a way to do this with an Applescript 'action' on import ? I don't mind getting my hands dirty with tweaking some code, but I've never really used Applescript at all.
Because my wife needs to be able to use this, I don't want to have to manuall create any projects/folders/albums or worry about any other details - just have the import defaults setup such that a card is inserted, import all is chosen, and the structure is used.
I don't want to have a two-stage process unless it's very easy to reproduce. This has to be easy, otherwise I may as well just go back to iPhoto and lose all the great benefits of Aperture.
I was really looking forward to using the import presets as they solve the other main Aperture problem I had, but this is proving to be a bigger issue now.

I really do understand projects. I just don't need them. I'm not wanting to organise things at the moment - just get the images 'into' Aperture, and create smart folders.
I don't actually need a project for this. I could use just one project, as Aperture requires it, but then I'm stuck after 10000 images.
As mentioned in my original post, I was planning on 'sturcturing' by year/month/date as that is a valid structure for me - the problem being which part of that structure is a project (year is more than 10000 images, so it would have to be month) ad how I automatically create that on image import.
I realise everyone seems to want to organise things differently, and most people create a 'project' for an 'event' or 'location' or 'shoot' or suchlike... I don't need that. I take pictures and put them in 1 big pot, and use smart folders etc., later on.
The problem seems to be that I need to actually manage it with projects from the start - I can't just bring in images into Aperture (as the container) and use 'smart' tools to group things together - I have to have a project.
Everyone's answer is about how to structure projects based upon different criteria. I realise this is how Apple expect it to work. I just don't have the time to group things into projects at the moment.
Either way, this is all away from the original point. The main problem I have is not being able to automatically create a structure (of any kind other than a single or constrained auto-split group of projects) when importing directly from a CF card or camera.
What I want, is to be able to say:
On import, split the files by date, and put them in a project / folder / album according to year / month / date respectively. I can't do that, and it seems I have to rely on external functionality, import / export into a structure & re-import, or manually move select move images.
I know you can assign an Applescript action on the import, and I figured that perhaps this could be used to re-structure the images on the import, but by the silence on this point and the fact that everyone keeps pushing me to manually maintain my projects, suggests it just can't be done.

Importing and printing photos in Appleworks

If I drag a picture from iPhoto into an AppleWorks document, and then print it, the photo comes out in reduced resolution. (This doesn't occur if I drag the photo into a Word document. In Word, the resolution is the same as I would get when directly printing from iPhoto.)
AppleCare Technical Support can't suggest a solution. Can anyone help? I am using AppleWorks version 6.2.9.

There are two issues at work here. First, AppleWorks
changes the resolution of any graphic format except
PICT to 72 dpi. The best solution to this problem is
to save the image as PICT before inserting into
AppleWorks. My favorite for this is Graph
icConverter, but you can use Preview or
Photoshop Elements or any other application that can
save as PICT.
For the second issue, this is a problem than became
more noticeable with AppleWorks 6.2.9 & has something
to do with postscript printing. Go to Preferences >
General > Topic: Text & turn Fractional Character
Widths on.
I can insert complete photos with no problem if I open them up in PictureViewer (OS 9) and copy and paste from there into Appleworks. PictureViewer seems to deal with the images in a different manner than Premiere.
HOWEVER recently I wanted to take four images from Photoshop (where I trimmed around them) and import them into Appleworks where I could collage them together. The pictures import and will print without problem if I do not resize them. Re-sizing the images cause pixelation around the edges when printing. The pixelation is not visible on the computer screen. The pictures were imported into Photoshop originally at 72 dpi.
Is there any way to copy an image (not a complete photo file, i.e., PICT) from Photoshop and import it successfully as a graphic?
On the other hand, is there an earlier version of Appleworks that works more efficiently with images?

Slice tool help needed width expands and contracts

I recently did a header for my website and srinks and expands
with different screen sizes I need a bit of help to undstand how
and why this happens.
I built it on a 19" screen fits perfectly on the page. Then
on the 15" I'm using now its very small leaving gaps along the
sides
here's the problem

No, I don't mean that your header should be all one image.
Currently, your header is a table with a number of images
inside it. The width of the table is "absolute." It is set to a
fixed number of pixels (800). It won't change. What you see as
smaller and larger on your different monitors is a result of the
different resolution that the two monitors have.
The forum content, on the other hand, is in tables with
widths that are "relative." They are are a percentage of the width
of the browser window (81%). These tables will change size
depending on the size of the browser window. For just one perfect
setting, everything will line up. For all other widths, you have a
mess.
You need your header table and your forum tables to match.
Either your header needs to be designed differently, so that it can
expand and contract gracefully when a browser window is a different
size (in pixels), or you need to edit your forum so that the
various parts are all 800 pixels wide instead of varying
percentages.
As for monitors, it isn't the physical size that is important
here, it's resolution. It isn't the number of inches, it's the
number of pixels. You can have a 21" monitor that's set to 800x600
pixels and you can have a 17" monitor set to 1600x1200 pixels. On a
monitor with 800x600 pixel resolution, your header will be the full
width of the screen and the forum content will be about 650 pixels,
indented on both sides. On a monitor that is 1600x1200 pixel
resolution, your header will be about half of the screen width and
your forum content will be about 1300 pixels wide.

that coul not find package javax.servletWhat I did not mention... you need to add those JARs in the Classpath explicitly. You will find them in %TOMCAT_HOME%\common\lib. You atleast need to add servlet-api.jar to your Classpath. :)

Help needed with consolidating and moving itunes folder.

I already had a folder full of music files on this hard drive so I now have 2 folders with music files, the iTunes folder with music recently imported from cd's and the old folder. The library points to references to both of these folders but not ALL of the files in the old folder as I don't need them in iTunes.
I now want to be able to listen to my iTunes library when not connected to the external drive. How do I do this? If I reset the location of my iTunes folder back to the macbook do I then need to consolidate, and if I do will only the files with reference pointers go into this folder? I don't want all the music files in the old folder to go onto the macbook, only the ones with reference pointers to them, plus the ones in the iTunes music folder.

I have an assignment and it is to create a guessing game, here is the question,
In this assignment you are to write a game where a user or the computer is to guess a random
number between 1 and 1000. The program should for example read a guess from the keyboard, and
print whether the guess was too high, too low or correct. When the user has guessed the correct
number, the program is to print the number of guesses made.
The project must contain a class called Game, which has only one public method. The method must
be called start(), and, when run it starts the game. The game continues until the user chooses to
quit, either at the end of a game by answering no to the question or by typing 'quit' instead of a
guess. After each game has been played, the program is to ask the user for a name and insert this
together with the number of guesses into a high score list. When a game is started the program
should print the entire high score list, which must be sorted with the least number of guesses first
and the most last. Note, the list must be kept as long as the game-object is alive!

consists of the game time. In case there are two high scores with the same number of guesses, the
game time should decide which is better. The game time starts when the first guess is entered and
stops when the correct guess has been made. There should also be input checks in the program so

I understand how to code most of it, except I am not sure how to store the playerName, playerScore, playerTime and then sort that accordingly.
I came across hashmaps, but that wont work as the data values can be the same for score.
Is it only one object of lets say a highScore class, and each time the game finishes, it enters the values into an arrayList, I still dont understand how I can sort the array all at once.
Should it be sorted once for score, then another array created and sorted again, I dont get it I am confused.
Please help clarify this.

ThanksWell, there was probably a gap in the communication. Hash maps (or hash tables, etc.) are instance of Map. Those are used to locate a value by its unique key. Generally, to speed up access, you implement a hashing function (this will be explained hopefully in class). Think of name-value pairs that are stored where the name is unique.
Contrast this with items that are sorted. Any List can be sorted because its elements are ordered. An ArrayList is ordered, generally, by the order you inserted the elements. However, any List can be given its own ordering via Comparable or Comparator. You can't do this with an ordinary Map. The purpose of a Map is speedy access to the name-value pairs, not sorting. The List likewise has different purposes, advantages, disadvantages, etc. List can be sorted.
A Map is generally similar to a Set. A Set is a vanilla collection that guarnatees uniqueness of each element (note, not name-value pairs, but simple elements). There is one concrete class of Map that can be sorted, TreeMap, but I doubt your professor was referring to that. The values or the keys can be returned from the Map and sorted separately, but again, I doubt he was referring to that.
Take a look at the Collections tutorial here on this site or Google one. It is fairly straightforward. Just keep in mind that things (generally) break down into Set, Map and List. There are combinations of these and different flavors (e.g., Queue, LinkedHashMap, etc.) But if you can learn how those three differ, you will go a long way towards understanding collections.
(Oh, and be sure to study up on iterators.)

Help regarindg country formatting and printer formatting in scripts

I'm facing a problem printing the address in SAPscript. Though we try to display the field T005-LAND1 within Address -endadress, the field T005T-LANDX50 gets displayed.
For example- when we want to display countrycode as NL(netherlands), only 'Kingdom of the Netherlands' is diplayed.
i believe this is because of the Country format used in the adress. Is there anyway we can change the country formating.
Also the output gets different alignment when we use differnt printers for preview. is there anyway to overcome this?

this is quite natural that ur print preview and print out differs and it differs from printer to printer.so, u have to define the paper size correctly and check if possible the type of printer they will be usually using.
here in ur case r u trying to pring the country key or country name.
in fact u have to pick the country key and print the country name in that place by getting the name from check table.

Help needed with footers and shrinking text

Hi Guys
I got a report that I want to print conditional headers and footers for. When I specify that I only want a foooter to appear on the last page, I get REP-1216 error, I checked out Metalink and followed a note on how to get around it but I'm having no joy. Can anyone help me out? I also want to make certain bits of the header and footer visible depending on a value retrieved from the report query only I get REP-1314 saying that my format trigger referencesa column at the wrong frequency. I know the value is in another frame but how do I make this value available in the margin so that the formatting will work?
Also, I want to be able to shrink some lines of an address if it has a null value at runtime e.g

First Address Line
Second Address Line
<Null>
Post Code
I want to format it so that it appears as:
My House
First Address Line
Second Address Line
Post Code
I really appreciate if someone could help me out as always this is very urgent!

I am quoting from Note 1017067.102 on Metalink (REP-1216 when running report with field in margin) - you might have already seen this note...
Objects in the margin region are restarted on every physical page. As a
result, not all print condition types make sense for margin objects. Because
objects are restarted on every page, it is as if you are always on the first
page of the object.
The print condition FIRST is the same as the print condition ALL.
The print conditions LAST and ALL BUT LAST are invalid because "LAST" is never
reached.
The print condition ALL BUT FIRST causes the object to never appear because
the object never goes beyond "FIRST" page.
Thus, the only valid print conditions for the object are FIRST and ALL.

For example, you can reference employee_id in the format trigger of employee_name if they are in the same group. In your header / footer Format Trigger, you can reference only report-level columns. So if you can make your column to appear at the report level (outside of any group), you may be able to reference it from the header / footer.

I need some help with web services and flash. I'm very new to flash, so please have that in the back of your mind when reading this :-)
I've got a .swf file, and I would like to display a number received from a web service (using adobe flash professional cs5). Ive added the web service and provided the WSDL, but when i try to "Add Method Call", nothing happens. Why? What am I doing wrong?
