Help! Need to install CS5 on Surface Pro2

How do I install my existing copy of photoshop CS5 on a new device without a disc drive (in my case, a Surface Pro 2 Tablet)? I have the original installation CD and product code, but I don't see a way to download a trial of this software from Adobe so that I can validate it after installation - I assume that would be the way to do this with newer versions of products. I don't have access to an external CD drive.

After reading solutions online and trying them for my settings for 2 days I am still unable to print what I am seeing on my screen in Adobe CS5. I calibrated my monitor, but am not sure once calibration is saved if I somehow use this setting in Photoshop’s color management.
The files I am printing are photographs of dogs with lots of detail I digitally painted with my Wacom tablet in Photoshop CS5 and then printed with Epson Stylus 1400 on inkjet paper 20lb with slight luster.
My Printed images lose a lot of the detail & come out way to dark with a reddish cast and loss of detail when I used these settings in the printing window:
Color Handling: Photoshop manages color, Color management -ICM, OFF no color adjustment.
When I change to these settings in printer window: Color Handling: Printer manages color. Color management- Color Controls, 1.8 Gamma and choose Epson Standard it prints lighter, but with reddish cast and very little detail and this is the best setting I have used so far.
Based on what I have read on line, I think the issue is mainly to do with what controls are set in the Photoshop Color Settings window and the Epson Printer preferences. I have screen images attached of these windows and would appreciate knowing what you recommend I enter for each choice.
Also I am confused as to what ICM color management system to use with this printer and CS5:
What is the best ICM to use with PS CS5 & the Epson 1400 printer? Should I use the same ICM for both?
Do I embed the ICM I choose into the new files I create?
Do I view all files in the CS5 workspace in this default ICM?
Do I set my monitor setting to the same ICM?
If new file opens in CS5 workspace and it has a different embedded profile than my workspace, do I convert it?
Do I set my printer, Monitor and PS CS5 color settings to the same ICM?
Is using the same ICM for all devices what is called a consistent workflow?
I appreciate any and all advice that can be sent my way on this complicated issue. Thank you in advance for your time and kind help.

Help needed in installing Identity management 11.1.1.2

I have installed Oracle Webcenter and SOA suite (11g) in single domain and also installed and conten server 10.1.3.4. All in a single machine. And I want to provide LDAP Identity store for custom applications/Spaces application with content management. I am in the process installing Identity management. I have the following issues
1. Do I need to install all the 5 components of Identity suite?
2. Due to performance reasons I want to install Idm suite on different machine. Can the webcenter application on machine1 be configured to use the identity services from machine2 ,consideing i created a new domain on machine2 that contains it identity servers with its own admin console/Fusion control?
installation guide contains lot of options which i could not understand .Please help me in this regard.

Help needed in installing bi linux - Admin tool

Hello,
I downloaded the OBIEE latest version from oracle site for linux.
Then I downlaoded the Client tool for OBIEE 11.1.1.1.5 and installed in windows now its asking for configuring the DSN
While confidguring its asking me the server and then BI server un and pwd i gave the DEV_BIPLATFORM and the pwd and the port
But showing me errors like could not connect to that port in the server machine and timeout.2 erros its showing me.
nQSError ->12017
nQSError ->12008
In the same windows machine i have previously installed OBIEE 11.1.3 and i used OCI 10/11g so there was no configuration of DSN there for the admin tool.
I hope there is no issue with this OBIEE 11.1.3 installed.
Since i had already installed bi i have 2 oracle bi server option while adding a new DSN
one is Oracle BI Server1
and other is Oracle Bi Server 11g_123344
I selected the second one to create the system dsn for the client tool for the linux one.
Could anyone pls tell the steps which i need to follow.
What i need to do to overcome those errors and then After configuration what need to be done.
I am bit confused on all these.

and then restart the services.

I suppose you need too change the port to 9703 or 9810.Configure the DSN properly to the correct server.

Now a repository should be stored in linux machine BI folder
or should be in Client machine repository folder
Since we need to upload the rpd file first time to the bi server from the em i feel it should be client machine.You work on admin tool of windows and then the repository is moved to linux machine BI folder so as the users using it would access the linux presentation services so they can see what is in the latest RPD.You can move files by PUTTY tool by executing linux commands

Help needed in installing orale application 11.5.10 on Linux

i am getting some problems.
I have dump of entire oracle applications software in my hard disk. I doesn't have DVD's. And i think i doesn't need to run perl script before installing appliations. When i install oracle applications from hard disk .. it gives me a successful installation . But later i am unable to connect to database or and linux is unable to recognize the sql command or envionment variables are not working. I am trying to install on stand alone machine. Please help me out/???

I create soft links via ln -s to the environment scripts:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oracle dba 43 2005-02-10 20:29 vis9.env -> /lv03/oracle/vis9db/9.2.0/vis9_socrates.env
lrwxrwxrwx 1 applmgr appl 33 2005-02-10 20:27 vis9.env -> /lv03/oracle/vis9appl/APPSORA.env
So in oracle user home directory, I type ln -s /lv03/oracle/vis9db/9.2.0/vis9_socrates.env vis9.env
Then just type . vis9.env to take on the database environment as the oracle user.
In the applmgr home directory, I type ln -s /lv03/oracle/vis9appl/APPSORA.env vis9.env
Then just type . vis9.env as applmgr, to assume the applications environment. You will need to be in this environment to start/stop the applications.
cd to $OAD_TOP/admin/scripts/*
to stop:
./adstpall.sh apps/apps
to start:
./adstrtal.sh apps/apps

Help needed after installing Security Update 2008-008

Had the same problem everyone else has had. I got it back up and running using the Archive & Install procedure. Once I log in I get this error message:
"Application Transport Monitor could not be launched because of shared library error. "8<Transport Monitor><Transport Monitor><HotSyncLib.PPC>"
What do i need to do for this (reinstall a clean install of OS?)
Most of my programs work except for Itunes & Netbarrier Firewall.
Do I need to reinstall these programs.

"Verify/Repair the HDD the Repair the Permissions." What's that?
It's important to Verify or Repair the Disk before you repair Permissions...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.
May even need to do an Archive and Install if you have room on the HD, but saves all your files and gives a new OS...

I only use Software Update to see what is needed, then get them for real via...

That way I can wait a week or so, check the forums for potential problems, and get Permissions & such in order before installing.
If all the above fails, then it appears to be time for an Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...

Help needed to install Flash Player : 'Non-Current Release' problem!

I been encountering problems while trying to install Flash Player on my laptop running Windows 7.
Originally Flash Player does not work as I understand it is not supported on 64-bit Internet Explorer.
After installing 32-bit IE, the following issue of 'non-latest version' arises and all installation were aborted by the application :
The below were steps I had taken to no success.
1. Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded flash player un-install program and did the uninstallation with success.
2. Rebooted the laptop.
3. Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded the flash player version 10.0.45.2 from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.
4. After downloading it automatically did the installation with 100% completion.
5. The program proceeded to activate the flash player with a webpage saying if the flash player is working properly, I should see a video and Flash Player's logo.
6. Before anything was displayed, an error message popped up to say I was trying to install a non-current version and that I should go to same webpage to download the latest version. The activation was then aborted.
Tried many times but always encountered same problem and hence cannot proceed to use the flash player.
Need assistance to diagnose the problem and to get Flash Player working on my laptop. Appreciate any help to get it working.

Thanks to efforts of eidnolb and Bob, the installation of flash player into my laptop is now working .
Bob's installer enabled the download successfully.
Eidnolb's link in post 6 trigggered me that I may have previously installed the pre-release version 10.1, thereby leading to the 'non-current-version' problem too. Post in that link adviced to uninstall 10.1 using the pre-release uninstaller.
I suggest others who had encountered this non-current release to uninstall first using that specific uninstaller, before attempting to install the most current release. I may have installed the 10.1 pre-release in desperation after failing numerous times trying to figure out why flash player does not install in browser not knowing its currently-non-support of 64-bit browser.

Help needed to install Classic

I just bought a iMac G3 for my daughter. It came with OS 10.3 but I need to run programs for her that are only compatible to up to OS 9 or OS X Classic. The seller gave me a OS 9.1 disc to install OS 9.1. I did this in 10.3 setting and it says it's installed, but when Classic starts, it prompts a message that says something to the effect that it cannot start classic because the disc is read-only. I started the computer using the OS 9 CD out of the CD player and started the installer, but when it gets to the step to select the designation, the drop down menu shows nothing so I cannot install it. I called the seller and he's not returning calls. Am I totally out of luck? Can anyone help me to get this working? Thanks!

Your inability to select the iMac's internal hard drive as the destination disk for an OS 9.1 installation probably arises because when OS X was installed, the drive was erased and OS 9 disk drivers were not reinstalled afterward, as one of the selectable options in installing OS X.
Start up in OS X and choose "About this Mac" from the Apple menu. Click "More Info" in the Info window to open System Profiler. In System Profiler, click "ATA" under the "Hardware" heading in the left pane. The right pane will display information about your hard drive and optical drive. What is shown next to "OS 9 Drivers" under your hard drive: Yes or No?

Help Needed to Install Photoshop CS6

Company bought product in 2012 and never installed. I opened the sealed package this morning and tried to install. It asks for a serial number. The only number I have is on the back of the box, it is 3 letters/3letters and then 8 digits. The serial number field for install will not take the letters and not enough fields for numbers. I thought it may be a redemption code but it is not recognized either. I have the receipt for this product and I need some help. It is very difficult to get support. Chat says it is not active and I cannot find any phone numbers. Please help!

I called and they were able to fix an issue I was having with entire menu selections disappearing.
I allowed them to remote into my computer and they found a corrupt file called "sniffer", whatever that is.

Help needed on photoshop CS5

I work in a tattoo shop and currently using Photoshop CS5 for a trial period.
Basically I need to be able to transform a photograph into a black and white stencil or line sheet as it is known in the tattoo industry.
This is in order for us to be able to produce portrait tattoos.
I have tried all sorts of combinations within filters but can never get quite what we are looking for.
Any help or assistance on this would be very much appreciated.

Uninstalled and need to install CS5...activation?

I've recently upgraded my operating system to tiger and have had problems with CS5 since. I uninstalled it, but did NOT de-activate. I need to reinstall it on the same computer now. Should I have deactivated it? What are the proper steps at this point so as to not use up my number of times I can install or activate. If I upgrade computers in the next year, can I still install it on the new one after this? Thanks!!!

I'll assume that it works the same way on Macs that it does on PCs - no reason to suppose otherwise.
Your activation enables you to have two activated installations at any one time. The idea is that you can have one on a desktop and one on a laptop, and you're not supposed to use both at once... . It's fine to uninstall without deactivating, if you intend to put the software back on the same machine, but if you intend to use it on another one, then you will need to deactivate it when removing it from the first one.
So this means that you can roll your activations around if you want, as long as you don't attempt to have more than two current at the same time.

Help needed in creating a multiple surface graph.

Thank you for taking the time to read my question.
I have an equation with 3 variables.
I have managed to plot 2 variable(and the result of the equation) on a 3d surface plot and now I am trying to plot the third one as multiple surfaces.
More in detail, I am trying to plot the induced current in a coil of turns R, at a distance x from a High Voltage(High Current) conductor.
You will see from my attached file that I have plotted 'Induced current', 'Radius from point x' and 'HV conductor Current'.
I now wish to plot turns N (say 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 turns) as 5 multiple plots (one on top of the other).
How can I do this, as I have checked the example files and have not found something very relevant on that. Also answers to similar questions are not very clear to me.
I am also not quite sure that the surface plot I have is correct, as the valus of HV conductor Current (I) do not start from 500. The same happens for Radius From Point 'x' (R), as they start from 3,5 instead of 3.
If I go to to CDgraph3D>>properties, I can see 4 more plots but they are definetely not what I would expect.
I am trying to plot:
Radius from point 'x' (R)= 3, 3.5, 4,...,5
HV Conductor Current I = 500,600,...,1000
# turns of coil N= 50, 100,...,250 (as 5 surface plots)
and last Induced Current
What am I doing wrong in my code?

With some mentoring from the skilled LabVIEW Zealot that resides a few cubicles away, I have found how to access the property nodes on the 3D plot. Please find attached a VI that programmatically sets the scale of interest to 600-700. You can change the code to fit your needs.

Hi every one . i m trying to install oracle applications 11i suite in Linux machine.. but i am getting error in the following way
Error in File System
Error - Unable to create directory with proper privileges:
Database ORACLE_HOME
Mount Point = /d02/oracle/proddb/9.0.2
and it continues for all the directories which application is trying to create..
And also Error in File Space Check
Error - Not enough free disk space on system :
Database ORACLE_HOME = /d02/oracle/proddb/9.2.0
required = 2905.0
available = 0.0
I have some 140 GB free space in my disk... Please help me out... thankx in advance

and given permissions... to the directories...
