Help need to know dead pixel replacement

I'm getting a new screen put on next week for a dead pixel on the lumia 800 but I found scractches yes on gorilla glass and was wondering does the glass get replaced Sewell or is it just the screen because I saw a video on YouTube of a screen replacement on lumia800 and it was all on one the screen glass and touch bottoms help does the glass come with it ????

Hi JoeHeat,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the forums.
The spare-part for the Lumia 800 screen comes as one unit consisting of the screen, digitizer and the glass. So as long as the repair is being done by an official Nokia Care Point or repair centre replacing the screen also will mean new glass.
Hope this helps,

  • Dead Pixels - Replacement. How long?

    Hi,
I've just received my shipping label for sending my beautiful MacBook Pro in for complete replacement (not repair) due to a growing number of dead pixels on my display.
When I first noticed it, there were about 6-8 contiguous dead pixels in the lower right corner of my screen and now there are probably 60-70 in the same spot.
Anyway, back on topic, how long should I expect to wait until I get my replacement MacBook once I ship this one off? What are your experiences with sending any Apple in for replacement?
    Thanks,
    Aaron
P.S. I've already called Apple and confirmed that I am not just put back into the queue will all the new purchases.
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   Custom PC running Gentoo

I have a Titanium G4 that had the screen go almost dead after I bought it. Apple replaced the screen and I had it back, good as new, within a week. I believe that screen is the same, or very similar to, the one on the new MacBook's. THAT is the main reason I ordered a new MacBook Pro last Saturday from the Apple Store. Apple's customer service is great, they make high quality hardware and software, and they stand behind them. To se sure, you pay a bit more for it and (I am an engineer and software developer) the development tools are sometimes a bit "hoaky", but it's worth it.

  • Bright(dead pixels) replacement policy macbook pro retina

Yes i have had it tested and it is a confirmed hardware related pixel problem. I have 4 bright green pixels on my macbook pro retina 15 inch which is very annoying when you are working in (the dead pixels are in the middle of the screen!)processing applications like the kinect/photoshop. And this meets apples policy critera and according to it i should receive a product replacemnet not a simple screen replacement( the product is the macbook pro not the screen) and the apple stores in india say that they do not follow this policy, no where on the internet or anywhere have i heard this. Apple is renowned for its worldwide support, but it from one place and have similar support everywhere. I bought the laptop(the highest end with 16 gb ram for my projects, 2.7) whoch costed me about 4000 US dollars now when you pay that much you cannot live with people opening your laptop and replacing some parts in it(remember the unibody part?). And i am also experienceing burn in issues for a long time( due to the inferior screen that i was provided with- yes the LG display). I am really annoyed and will take the laptop to honk kong where i bought it from and will not settle without a product replacemnet per se apples policy. Again india seriously??

  • Help needed in knowing the B2B Table strucure

    Hi All,
I would like to know the tables in the B2B database that stores the ISA,GS,ST,Receiver ID and Ack flag data.
Or any document which contains the description of all the tables and what data is stored in them .
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kaavya

    Hi Kaavya,
There is a view called b2b_instancemessage where you will get all the details. Please refer the post Getting the ISA Control Number and other details from a b2b generated file
which has the view creation script. If you analyze the script you will get to know the relationship between tables in the b2b schema.

Please let me know briefly...........Thery're asking you to override the equals and hashCode methods. Override means replace. So does "overwrite." However, as you point out, "override" is the correct word here.So you think "overwrite" means the same as "replace"?To the same extent that "override" does. But both are in the general sense. Override has a specific meaning in this Java context, and overwrite does not.Don't tell me. That's what I said in my original reply.
To my ear it doesn't. To me "overwrite" means the original is destroyed, whereas when something is "replaced" the fate of the original is unknown. So I think there's a slight semantic difference between these words.Fair enough.Fair enougth, but the next time I suggest you're better sorted.

  • SECAM help, need to know how to make a secam project

I Need to make a DVD that can be played in France.  I understand that the standard in France is SECAM.  I can't find a preset when making a project for SECAM or info on the web about what resolution to make if I were to create a custom preset.
Any help would be great. Thanks

As a general rule, you edit in a project that matches your media properties.  If your final delivery needs to be different, you do that during or after export.
This is true.  I have shot in NTSC and had to send a PAL version of the final video over to Europe, so I edited in NTSC and converted it to PAL in Encore.  Worked fine, from what the client told me, although I never got to see the final PAL version since we don't have a PAL compatible DVD player in the office.  So I couldn't tell you if there were any problems I may have noticed that the client might have shrugged off (like field-dominance problems).

Is it possible to make Java Server Pages and RMI work

  • Help Need to Know if I was hacked!!!

I was recently told by someone that my Mac was hacked and that now the person who hacked my computer is hacking their Mac. They also said I gave someone access to my computer to do so! Can someone help me figure out if I was hacked?! Please

Who told you this, and why did they believe your machine was involved? It's almost certain that the person who told you that your machine had been hacked was either wrong or malicious. (If the source was a phone call from someone you don't know saying they had detected hacking activity, it's almost certainly a scam. That has become a fairly well-known scam at this point, though unfortunately, mostly well-known only to experts.)

  • IChat help needed (I know, wrong forum)...

...but I didn't get much response when I posted to the designated iChat forum. You all are so knowledgeable here, just thought I'd try. Forgive me for breaking etiquette.
I'm running ichat 4.0.7 on my iMac with Leopard 10.5.6. Last night my brother and I were able to successfully text, audio, and video chat. He was using ichat 3.1.9 on his mac book pro laptop running Tiger 10.4.11.
Today, we were unable to audio or video chat. He was using his iMac at work running ichat 4.0.7 and Leopard 10.5.6. Every time we tried to video/audio chat, we got a message saying that "there was a communication error during your chat" and that I "did not receive a response from XXXXX (my brother)". He, of course, was indeed responding and accepting my invitations to video/audio chat. I got this exact same message regardless of who initiated the invitation (i.e., the message said that my brother was not responding whether he invited me or whether I invited him).
We had a few of these same messages yesterday, but after a few tries we were able to connect without problem. But not today, no matter how many times we tried. Also, he originally tried with his iMac at work today but then eventually pulled out his laptop (the same one he used yesterday) and neither computer was successful for him.
Finally, I had the same messages last night with another friend who I was trying to audio and video chat with.......we were never successful. Through all of this, however, the text chat feature has worked just fine. The only thing Ic an think of involves internet connection speed, although that seems to be fairly consistent.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

I think Ralph was trying to give you a good response.
If you didn't understand something he said, please don't
hesitate to go back in there and ask.
one thing I always do when having connection problems with
iChat -- Both parties quit everything and restart your Macs.
If it still isn't working, it could be a problem with one of you ISP's.

  • HELP, need to know where Service Manager 2012 is working

Hello, I am System Administrator in a Bank with around 1100 employees and I have been setting up Service Manager 2012 since midyear 2013. Now we are finishing the job. In May
my CEO had adviser from Gartner group to tell him how he should arrange the Computer department and one of the things that the advisor from Gartner said was that we should not use Service Manager 2012 because it is not a good system and those that are using
it are in constant trouble with it and are going to take it down. Now my CEO has told me to stop working on this because he is going to decide what he is going to do. I am stunned about this "advise" from Gartner group. I really like
Service Manager and I have set up Orchestrator, Configuration Manager and Operation Manager and these system are all working well together. Now when I am ready to ship this into Production my CEO says stop, so I am really frustrated about this sales pitch
    from the "advisor".
So my question is, can anybody give me some good arguments like where is Service Manage working well and where can I show my CEO that those advises that he had from Gartner group are totally
    wrong.
I would like to thank in advance.
    Best Regards Olafur_s
    Icelandic DBA admin

I'm an staff consultant for a independent consultant company that is a Microsoft partner, and is also a partner with VMware, Citrix, etc... I'm a core infrastructure consultant, specializing in IT Management and processes. I install and configure
System center Service Manager as a major portion of my job. I consider myself a unbiased expert opinion, but that's almost a contradiction in terms.
I personally think Service Manager is one of the best service desk products available, for companies that are in certain positions.  I'm not aware of any companies that are removing it, but I am aware of a very small number of companies with
incomplete deployments they are abandoning because of standing issues, and just as many starting new deployments in the wake of the
    SDE end of life.
    first, the advantages:
Service Manager is a good mix of design flexibility and minimal configuration overhead. Compared to other helpdesk systems, the process load to create new offerings is very low, and a typical corporate system can be maintained with no more then 1 full or
part time administrator, pretty much regardless of size.
it's remarkably extensible. The authoring tool and readable XML format allows (with a little bit of familiarity) an administrator to create their own data types, forms, processes, workflows, and other management constructs
    with very little "hard" coding.
the representational object data model is a remarkable innovation that allows a very simple model translation, I.E. an object in the real world becomes a SCSM data object with very little normalization work. you don't need to think about tables, or
how identifiers are issued, or column space, or even web design. Want to manage heisenberg frabulators? awesome, create a class that represents everything about frabulators as properties or relationships, create a form that shows you a page with data
for frabulators, create a view that shows you all of the frabulators in the way you want to see them, and create a SCSM Frabulator object for each frabulator you have. If you create the frabulator class by inheriting from Configuration item, then
all of the relationships that already exist for other CIs (like Incident Affects relationship, etc) will just magically work. NONE of that requires any coding, and all of it can be done with out-of-the-box GUI tools.
SCSM has a good partner ecosystem (reference
    Provance, Syliance.com,
Expit, SCSM Solutions, etc.) including administrative tools, reports, and whole solutions.
    now the disadvantages:
Service Manager assumes that you already have an ITIL service book, and a specific type of ITIL service book with well defined, modular offerings based on very focused needs. As a starting assumption, this is a high bar. Most companies have not spent
the time or mental capital on HOW their it processes work required to take the fullest advantage of this. I personally think MORE companies should spend this capital, because they would EASILY earn it back in terms of better management oversight, process efficiency
gains, and better service delivery but no body issued me a magic wand, so...
box, Service Manager doesn't do anything. It's a representative object system that models your IT environment, until you tell it how your IT environment works, it can't model your IT environment. again, this requires a lot cognition about how your IT environment
works, and Companies that are just scraping by and don't understand how they deliver services or already have inventories are not going to be able to provide the information needed to make Service Manager really useful.
Service manager has some serious solution gaps, specifically reporting, the portal, and third party OS support. Both the portal and the default set of reports are on the list of things for the product team to improve upon, and third party products (like
Gridpro's Analyst console) are already improving non-windows support. Remember, Service manager is a VERY new product (remember,
the first RTM was april 2010) and shows INCREDIBLE progress in that time, but it still has a ways to go to compete with products that have been available
    for more then 22 years.
Microsoft has a poor reputation for feature and bug fixes, and has also shown variable levels of interest in Service Manager as a platform. The high point was probably the push for the 2012 release, where Service Requests, release management, the Offering
model and the major console improvements were all pushed in remarkably quickly. The low point was probably near the end of Travis's tenure, where it took almost two years to fix some basic workflow issues surrounding service requests after the 2012 RTM.
The recent trend on this has been positive, and
the tools are now in place to make it better, but the community as a whole is skittish right now.
As to why Gartner is recommending what they are recommending, they have a good point. Viewed pessimistically, System center is currently a beautiful, but incomplete and buggy, product that Microsoft has not been supporting adequately, based on
    deprecated technology.
But this view is incomplete: It doesn't take into account the fact that other products have higher administrative costs and minimal or non-existent automation support. It doesn't take into account the recent trend towards faster
releases, and better communication, but this things are only apparent on a longer time frame.
