Help needed for creating new component in web ui

hi experts,
i need documentation on the component workbench. i need to cretae a new assignment block in web UI, similar ti the items assignemnt block in opportunity screen.
Where can i find material to learn how to develop new components using component workbench?

Hi Shantanu,
In fact, you need to create a context node. You can create this context node using the wizard. Click with right button in "Context node" of the view and follow the steps.

Help needed for creating 1 invoice for 2 different material types.

Dear, Gurus
I really need help here I have spent 3 days cracking my head trying to solve the problem. Problem is client was creating invoice with reference to order and while invoice was being made it would cause an invoice split. The materials involved are Trading Good and Service Material. They would like only 1 invoice. Note nothing was different except material group and item cat. of the material. payment terms billing dates partners everything is same.
Current item config for Trading Good material is ZMPI-project item cat.

I was told to change Data VBRK/VBRP to 003 One Invoice which I did in both of these item cat. and yes they worked perfectly but at time of creating the invoice for service material the qty that showed was 11. Note: In sales order it is 1 qty. So I went back into the config of item cat TAD and changed copying requirement to 023 instead of 002 but nothing changed. Seems a qty of 10 is referencing something else which I have no idea what or where it is picking this up from. Just to see or test things I went into the sales order and tried changing the service material qty then a weird popup appears and says service order 12344456 has been blocked. (Seriously I have no idea why this would happen or should be existing at all.) Even if for some reason it is being referenced the service order that is existing is qty 1.
I really really do need help and if someone can help me that would be god sent.

You did not mention what value is maintained in the field billing quantity in the copy control->Item settings. Check for the service item, what value is assigned. Put value A and re-test.
Note that whenever you change any settings in configuration side, you need to create a new documents to test the results of the settings. You should not use the existing documents.
When you say the document is blocked, then check the status of the sales order to find the reason for blocking (like credit block, approval etc)..

Hi, I recently decided to make a MMORPG.A game people will enjoy and have fun, I would of course keep it free sense I have play many games that cost 5-15 dollars a month.I have many creative ideas, but I need someone to show me the ropes and teach me how to use Java and i currently looking for a site to download it at.If anyone would care to teach me how to use this or would like to help me create this game(Medievil type game, Swords armor gold houses dragonslaying and plenty more) post here or send me a pm and we can talk more private.

I tried game maker and that doesnt seem to helpful.It would only be helpful if I played them 20 bucks which I am not going to do.
Also i am downloading now JS2E 5.0 for Java.
I am stilling waiting on some type of input or even a mentor.

Help needed for a new Mac user with his photo and video librarys

after swopping my Ericson for an iphone a year ago. then taking delivery of an iPad on launch day. I have finally taken the plunge and swopped my windows pc for a lovely 27" iMac... what have I been doing all these years using windows? using the Mac is a joy.
As I get more involved with their products I am constantly fascinated (and frustrated) by Apples way of doing things. this situation is no exception and I need Apple people with Apple experience to help me make a decision.　
I am looking at software to organise my photos and videos. I have approximately 7000 photos residing on a windows home server. in addition to that there are some 200 or so HD videos taken with either my Sanyo Xacti camcorder or Sony DSC W300 camera. both cameras I think produce MPEG format
my first experience was iPhoto. great for the `price' but not very flexible. single libraries, poor editing facilities. and because I have files referenced and not copied to my iPhoto library, if I deleted from the library its not deleted from the server (and vice versa). this leads to images being displayed in the library that don't exist etc.
then I downloaded the Aperture 3 trial. great until I came across the `Unsupported file format' situation with the MPEG videos that strangely enough, iPhoto will recognise and play (the Apple way of doing things).
1. should I put the photos on the Mac instead of the server?
2. Is there a better way of managing the images for deletions etc
3. should I stick with Aperture because of the editing
4. is there a better software or way of managing the videos
sorry for the ramble but its all new to me

had a good session on all three of the recommended programs and now have a better understanding of the excellent advice I have been given.
iPhoto
great `free' program that is easy to use but somewhat limited on features. think I would always be looking to upgrade from here (feels a bit boring)
Aperture
really enjoyed using this but at £170! a hefty price tag considering its limited file support. fortunately its only my camera video clips (MPEG) that it wont view. my camcorder files (MP4) are fine so this is looking better as a one stop solution.
Elements
much more than just a image touch up. considering what it can do.. very good value at around £60. teamed with iPhoto it becomes even more attractive.
My issue still remains with the masters file location.
I would prefer to keep all my media on the external server to ensure I have a fail safe recovery option. its a 4TB 5 disk affair which contains all the family music, video images and DVD's etc (likely to change to a Mac server in the future!)
one feature that I cant find, (even in Aperture which surprises me), is the ability to automatically manage deletions from referenced locations? i.e. delete a file from the server and when aperture opens up the thumbnails are updated. or, delete a referenced master in Aperture and an option comes up to delete the referenced file on the external drive.
how would a professional photographer or studio using Aperture manage this process (or would they use something else?)
forgot to mention that through our student facilities i can get a discounted copy of Photoshop CS5 for around £175 which is close to Aperture. is this a worthwhile option or overkill

Help needed on creating new Masthead

Hi,
I have a task of creating an Masthead iView with the following functionalities.
The masthead is divided in three column
First column - Welcome message , below Date , time and place
Second column - Some hyperlinks which can be changed dynamically
Third column - Search user Interface-Search.jsp (Like having Tool area in Masthead)
1.Is it possible to create this masthead from the existing masthead header.jsp.
2.I am already having an search iView which shows the Search JSP . How to add the search JSP in this header.jsp
3. If I have portal service to give the date , time and Place . How to get the data from the service to the search.jsp.
Techies, Can anyone help me in this regard?

It is possible to add date, time and location in the welcome area. Jus add a table to the <td> of the welcome area container. Like this.

Help needed for creating a bookmark function

I am creating an application which in a kind of way gives the user the possibilty to make the same things as he reads an ebook written in html as if he would read a normal book. He highlights some lines, he makes some bookmarks and he can take some notes. All the changes he makes are saved in a database
I finished the highlighting function and now want to make the bookmark function. What I imagined is sth like the acrobat reader's bookmark manager so I will put it on the left side of a splitpane. The user will be able to add or delete a bookmark in the html ebook with a name of the bookmark and the link and these bookmarks will be saved in the database.
Do you have any suggestions how I can solve this? Which api should I read/use, do you know some examples? How I can make bookbarks in some parts of the pages and not only the whole pages. I mean the the page will load after the press of the bookmark to go to a certain place in that page and not in the begging. In general some ideas how I have to work?

I am afraid slow performance is a built in feature of this database design, not much you can do in queries.
You could possibly create the views as materialized views and query those instead.

The people on these boards aren't Apple Support and can't do that for you. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I have 10 group of redo log files with 2 members for each group for my primary database , Do I need to create new group for standby redo log files for the standby database

Yes, it's recomeded to add new group , for instnace If I have 10 group from 1 to 10 then the standby shoudl be from 11 to 20
