Help Needed - Home Page lost on upload

OK - it should be CSS but bear with me.
I've just uploaded a revised home page and the only thing showing is the background, which is an image. The source code shows that something is there but hasn't come through. I've tried looking for the problem but no luck.

I saw the page ok in FFox, but in IE7, only a background.

The syntax for the closing of the styles in the head of the document is incorrect - you are missing the -->
Should be:
-->
</style>
Fixing that, brings up the page in IE7 for me.
If you look at this page, which is visible in IE7, the syntax is correct:

I ask you this because I have only one website. the acces to my site is only through customer site. I mean I give him the right link (one link for Company A and another link for company B, both coming from site), do you understand what I mean?
The point I do not understan is if I save file web A, as Web B and then I change page names, master and so on, and the I up load, why does muse overwrite in file A when pages are different name !!!!
The point is Muse does not allow to copy / paste !!!

I'm not sure I've got a grasp on the issue you are having but let me give it a try
Website A is finished and you have uploaded it to the Internet, so it is LIVE.
You make a copy of Website A, and call it Website B, then make all required changes.
IF you uploaded Website B, then it is likely you will overwrite Website A. You must instead, upload Website B as a separate Website.
To publish to a new site:
Click Publish.
Then click the expansion triangle left of Options.
Change Publish To setting to New Site
fill out rest of required details, and click OK to publish.
You'll now have two separate web-sites.
If you need to link between them, use absolute hyperlinks (the full URL).

Need help stopping home page from appearing

Hello:
I've designed and programed the site www.pawsandclawspets.com
but I can't figure our how to keep the home page from flashing when
going from one page to the next. I have all my movies loading onto
a level above it and don't want to hide the home page entirely as I
am using the nav at the top on all the pages.
Any thoughts?

My home page lost in Dream weaver

Hello,
I was working on Dream weaver and suddenly my PC re-started.
Then I got an error message mentioning there was a problem with
adobe photo loader. When I opened dream weaver the page which I was
working on was my home page and was disappeared and couldn't
recover.
Is there any way out to this problem.

By the way, in your PREFERENCES, do you have PREVIEW IN
BROWSER > Preview
with temp files enabled? If you do, did you preview the page
before the
computer restarted? If so, then you have a saved version of
the page in
your temp files....

Need help with home page url?

So what I'm having problems with is getting my homepage url to say http://www.santoroman.com instead it is saying http://www.santoroman.com/site/home.html
I have read through a bunch of the threads and done some trial and error but nothing seems to come through correct. My host is 1and1 and I use fetch to load everything up. Help me fellow mac nerds! I'd really like to get this solved within a few day.
I just want people to be able to type in www.santoroman.com instead of all the other crap as well.

So I have the new folder published on my desktop named "site" and I see the other fold that says "index.html" with the safari logo in the middle. Just drag and drop the 2 into fetch and publish?
Yes. index.html is not a folder of course, it is a file.
Should I name the other folder as: www.santoroman.com or can I leave it as site?
You must leave it as site.

I had the orange, rectangular FF button in the top left of the home page & lost it again HELP!

What is so strange about the phrase "rectangular, orange Firefox button"??? It is a relatively new feature and you can access several functions by clicking on it....I had it on my window...now it no longer is there....what other details can I give????

You should take a look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-get-firefox-button Firefox Button] Knowledge Base article. It will show you how to turn the button back on. Don't worry, nothing is broken. It is just a setting.

Help needed with Pages

I am about to commit and purchase the ipad in the uk (28th May). I do not need a laptop and hope you can help me with this question. I will be using both pages and numbers applications and my question regards saving files. Can somebody please explain how you save on the ipad is it into folders like my imac etc. can you then browse the folders for your documents etc and can you name them or does the ipad name ?. Can anybody help me with this and explain it or point me to any site ?. many thanks

Help needed to recover lost photos, please!

Please help! All 49,537 photos in our iPhoto library have suddenly disappeared. A hopeful fact is that the 512 gigs they recently filled has not reappeared on Finder as available space. Might someone out there in the ether be able to help? Please?

If your profile is correct about the library and system versions apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager 3.8.6 and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Home page to automatically upload

I have a 2 part question. I am now learning on Dreamweaver so
please bear with me.
1)I am sending out a promotional CD. How do I set the Index
page to automatically come up so the user does not have to select
it from a list?
2) I have a link in this site to download a demo of a
product, but when they click on the link, the Windows screen
showing the source of info etc is appearing. Ho do I put the link
so this page does not appear

Phantom files on home page slide show.

Can anyone tell me why two images (originally used for the site mock-up) are showing up on the home page?

After I got the high res images, I wrote over the original file, so those two files no longer exist, but keep showing up! What's going on? How do I get rid of them??
I have double and triple checked my files, tried to find and delete them from the business catalyst dashborad edit page, and the files are not there either.... I'm stumped!
Any help would be appreciated.

After installing Firefox 4, Hotmail Page lost all it's formatting

After installing Firefox 4, my Hotmail "home" page lost all it's formatting. The Hotmail/Live logon screen is normal, but after logging on I see all the links and such in one long line down the left of the page. If I click on any of the links, like to go to my Inbox or Calendar, the resulting pages have the same problem. I've cleared cache and such and tried again, but same problem.
Everything works fine in Firefox 3.6 and I.E. 8.

When it comes to a security issue, shouldn't firefox work out the kinks before issuing an update rather than forcing other programs to adjust to firefox? This is a pretty arrogant opinion. WE are your customers and deserve better service than this!

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
Note:
Also consider Deleting any Apps you have Purchased / Downloaded but you now never use...
